All the staff are wonderful dr Taylor is what you call a real doctor the first time I met him I was doing my intake and just from hearing talk to Mrs Lynn he put me on a whole new medication and finally I feel I finally received exactly what I've been looking for 30 years, and the doctors put me on every day in the world and nothing worked for my mental health PTSD by ADH. The staff were all professionals. All the other encounters I witnessed were good .looks to be a very busy clinic. Hands down the BEST hospital experience of our lives—CarolinaEast’s birthing center deserves every ounce of praise and an A++ rating! We planned for a natural birth, but when baby decided a C-section was the safest route, the entire team turned what could’ve been stressful into pure magic. From OR to recovery, every single person treated us like family, going above and beyond in ways no other hospital ever has (and trust me, we’ve heard the stories).
The moment we rolled into the OR, the vibe was calm, warm, and joyful—not sterile or scary like you’d expect. The surgeons, anesthesiologist, and nurses explained every step with such kindness, even dimming the lights and playing our playlist so it felt intimate. My husband got to stay right by my head, holding my hand the whole time, and they dropped the drape so we could watch our son enter the world together. Skin-to-skin started immediately on the table—our baby never left our sight. The anesthesiologist even cracked jokes to keep us laughing through happy tears.
Recovery? Unreal. The postpartum nurses were angels—checking in constantly but never overwhelming us. Pain was managed perfectly (I could move without feeling drugged), and the lactation team had us breastfeeding like pros within hours. Our room felt like a cozy hotel suite: huge windows, a rocker for midnight cuddles, and meals brought piping hot whenever we wanted. They anticipated every need—extra pillows, ice packs, even a celebratory “new parents” dessert tray!
We can’t say enough about the pediatric team either—gentle, thorough, and so reassuring. From the OR to discharge, CarolinaEast made us feel seen, safe, and celebrated. Other hospitals? Cold, rushed, impersonal. Here? Compassion on overdrive.

I absolutely adore my therapist Nicole. From the get go, she made me feel comfortable and heard. I would recommended her to anyone that needs a safe place to talk.
As for the other reviews about this place - I’ve heard the front desk workers on the phone and in office with patients often. They are kind, caring, and try their best. A lot of the patients are rude, demanding, and don’t take no for an answer. I understand that they sometimes need to be abrupt and firm to get their answer across. Be kind to them and they’ll go out of their way to help you.

I am a current patient of 17 yrs on the methadone maintenance program at New Hanover Metro. This place is fairly good about not constantly bothering you and making you do all kinds of classes, so it's good for people who work or have busy lives. The counselors & nurses are usually very friendly but rarely stay for very long (Lauren being the exception, great person). My biggest complaint is the high cost, currently $16 per day from $13 per day, this place makes a killing off of our mistakes but I guess you pay to play. From the time I started to now cost has gone from $12-$17 per day. Overall satisfied with the clinic though.
*I had to update the 3 star to a 4, even though cost went up the service here has got better the past few months.

This place has been part to me getting clean. Clinic is efficient, in and out quickly , counselors are amazing and are always willing to listen and not judge. The people here are great and I made the best decision to come here as my stepping stone of getting clean.

Don't listen to the negative reviews about Paige. She is a fantastic practitioner. I've been seeing her since 2019 and she has always been helpful, kind, attentive and truly listened to me. She is not rude by any means. She listens to all my symptoms, side effect issues and any problems im having with meds. I like Paige and enjoy having her as my med provider.

Just left this a.m, it's actually a state - run faxility but honestly a good one.
The food is plentiful and tastes decent, they provide 2 meaks a day plus 3 snacks, the rooms are 2 person rooms but they try to give you a room by yourself if possible, the place is clean and the staff are kind and professional, slept great and most folks are given valium for the first few days which of course makes the detox process as comfortable as possible. I did the detox did not go to unit 5(the rehab unit).

The head doctor there pissed me off and I love him for it! I checked myself in not knowing I was committing to a minimum of 72 hours. Once admitted, you are stuck for 72 hours. You have to sign a waiver stating you release them of liability if you leave before they release you. I was furious when I found out and immediately signed the release so the clock would start.
The next morning I woke at 6-7 am with the doctor and a few others standing in my room. He said “ You have a chance to beat this if you give me time to wean you off alcohol. If you leave too soon you will probably have severe withdrawals and drink again. Give me more time to care for you properly. You have my word that I will get you discharged as soon as possible.”
I agreed. I felt frustrated and stuck, but I stayed. I thank God I did! Today I am 43 days sober. 45 days ago I didn’t know if I could get sober and make it stick. If I had left too soon, who knows what would’ve happened?
The staff was amazing. One of the nurses (a blonde lady) was quite rude and seemed to only be there for a check. The rest were amazing. I can imagine dealing with a bunch of us going through a mental and emotional roller coaster has to be frustrating for them, yet they seem to really enjoy their work and seem to care about you.
If you need help, these people are great. Their program works if you stay and work with them. Give them the time needed to help you. Also make sure you have support when you leave. I chose AA and it has made all the difference. Treat sobriety like your life depends on it because it does. Get to a meeting daily. Until you have a solid foundation, nothing else matters anyway.

Let me tell you , WBJ saved my life. They do have wonderful staff and the food isnt the best when I was there almost 4 years ago but it was great. It took me 3 times to get straight but ..its a really good place. Whoever is complaining was probably Petty and that person complaining was probably a disrespectful patient. I saw a few in my time there. Luv the staff there .

My experience at RMTC was a great life learning experience. First I had to come to believe I had a problem and then the staff could do what they do best. Not only did I get the help to treat my addiction I also learned a lot about my character defects that I didn't realize I had. This was tough to come to terms with but the more willIing I was to work on myself no matter how painful or uncomfortable it made me feel the more I was able to get out of the program. I am still sober and clean 7 months later and I am constantly working on becoming a better person. The staff and TA's are amazing people. The food was top notch. The equine therapy something I was skeptical about but it did wonders for me. I highly recommend this treatment center. My only advice to anyone going would be to push your ego aside and be ready to do whatever is asked of you no matter how much it eats at your ego or pride. If you are willing to dig deep inside yourself you will gain a tremendous amount of insight on what makes you tick and and how to curb it for the better. It will put you down the right path to continue to better yourself for the rest of your life.

Awesome low-cost program with great leadership! I graduated from Dare Challenge in 2011 and have walked free from addiction since. I would recommend this program to anyone willing to seek help and ready for true life change. It's structured and requires you to be engaged, but it will change your life if you recieve what they have to offer.

Dare Challenge helped to save our sons life. He had struggled with addiction off and on for almost ten years. He has been at Dare Challenge for about 5 months. I have been going to several different m.a.t. treatment places over the past ten years or so and had alot of different counselors at these clinics, but never have I had a counselor like the one at Greensboro New Season's, in the past they were all the same paper work pushers having you sign stuff quickly and go on your way. They gotta go through alot red tape, to make this happen. They are not really counselors at these places, but at this particular new season's I met a counselor named Mrs. Lisa. I can't think of her last name cause that's how everyone refers to her but mrs.lisa was a real counselor she asks questions then has questions about those questions she really cares she remembers you and what your talking about at first I didn't know how to take it like this lady sure is nosy, but she began to counsel me and help me with my marriage my kids my job and my family as a whole.She is a really caring person and changed the whole dynamics of my household she really doesn't know how much she has helped. I may have to relocate soon to another clinic and I am gonna miss this place. Hands down best clinic I have ever been to and I been to quite a few. If you need help give getting off opiods give methadone a try it changed my life for the better most definitely. GO- check out Greensboro New Season's they got alot of good people up there. SAVE YOUR LIFE.

Where do I even begin… A little over a year ago I decided I couldn’t go on anymore, and needed to change. My life sucked, my relationships were destroyed, always broke, and I was heavily addicted to fentanyl.
Walking through those doors felt impossible, but it wasn’t, and I did it! Now I’m sober, healthy, rebuilding and eternally grateful to everyone that dedicates their life to helping others. It because of God and the people at New Seasons that I’m able to write this review today. THANK YOU!

The Raleigh VA Clinic has exceeded my expectations with every appointment. The receptionist greets you with a smile, which I know is easy only sometimes when interacting with the public.
Dr. Sheryl Joyner is the epitome of professionalism, wisdom, and warmth. Equally, those who work with Dr. Joyner are a joy! Usually, I have "white coat" syndrome when I visit the doctor, and the anxiety elevates my blood pressure. However, nurses like Rashida King had me laughing and at ease in the short walk from the reception area to the doctor's office--no high blood pressure!
Furthermore, Dr. Joyner and Nurse King were informative, relatable, and authentically caring. Going to the doctor is not at the top of anyone's list of things to do, but the staff at the Raleigh VA clinic are good medicine!
