About Orange County Rescue Mission

Orange County Rescue Mission is a faith-based drug and alcohol rehab for homeless and indigent youth, adults, and families offering acute inpatient care, supportive and transitional housing, and outpatient and aftercare services. Specialized programs are available for children, adolescents, women with minor children, military personnel and veterans, and persons with co-occurring disorders.

Their inpatient programs offer short and long-term residential care, enabling clients to focus on their recovery in a highly structured and supportive environment. Clients receive medical and mental health assessments, personalized care planning, and comprehensive case management. They also engage in intensive, trauma-informed individual, group, and family counseling. The program promotes clients’ sustained sobriety and independent living skills through robust, age and gender-specific life skills training addressing topics such as coping, self-care, wellness, financial and household management, job readiness, parenting, and relapse prevention. They prioritize clients’ spiritual development, including daily prayer and Bible study, as a cornerstone of lasting recovery.

Their outpatient and aftercare services ensure a complete continuum of care aligned with clients’ evolving needs and may include academic and vocational training, housing and employment assistance, and referrals for medical, mental health, and social service programs.

Orange County Rescue Mission is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Financial aid and low and no-cost services are available.

This place is like a cult. My pregnant friend decided to stay here they don’t allow you to have ur phone they took away her stretch mark cream they said she could get high off of it and they were nice at first but they gave them a rock hard bed and a room covered in mold they also got a unsafe broken crib with bite marks for the baby and a rocking chair with piss stains and it reeked she also wasn’t allowed to eat after 6pm and they promised her snacks because again she’s pregnant and she never received anything they once they decided to leave all of the staff members who were nice were now mean to them they refused to give them back their credit cards and EBT cards They said it’s because they left abruptly and suddenly, but that wasn’t true. They were there for at least 2 to 3 hours and they knew that they were leaving and they were trying to convince them to stay. And since they didn’t have their phones they also didn’t tell them that one of their family members had been waiting for over an hour outside for them and they had told them that they would let them know when they were here and four days after they left, they kept calling to get their credit card and EBT card and they kept saying that they couldn’t give it back and that they had to make an appointment my friend mentioned the police to them and they got upset, but told my friend to call the police that they didn’t care I decided to go with them in person on the fourth day of them not getting their cards back and the staff was very disrespectful and they told us to sit down and wait and when I asked why they needed an appointment to receive their items that should’ve been returned on the first day their excuse was that they left abruptly and that they don’t have the people needed to open the safe and I told them well it’s been four days and it’s your job to find the people and make those calls to get them their items back because it’s illegal to keep them and they said that that’s just how they do things here and as soon as I started arguing with them and mentioned the police they finally decided to pick up their phone and call to bring out the cards so she could’ve done that the whole time, but decided not to do it until I started arguing with her and they “destroyed” the EBT card. I’m convinced that they were trying to pull them into an office to convince them to stay again because they had done that to them before.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

During the first phase of recovery – detox – it is crucial to have 24-hour clinical care in California. This care provides constant monitoring in order to ensure your safely and comfort as you progress through the withdrawal process for drug or alcohol addiction. Licensed professionals prescribe medications to treat withdrawal symptoms and provide frequent monitoring to ensure your safely as addictive toxins leave your system.

Treatments

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.
