Mississippi Drug and Alcohol treatment center works miracles! My son has always been an addict. We've tried countless rehabs and programs but he could never stay sober longer than a few months, he always returned to drinking and smoking weed and then eventually disappearing for days on end doing god knows what. We had pretty much given up hope when we found this family owned and operated center in Mississippi, he really didn't want to go so that was a bonus for us because we were over it. We were just trying to get rid of him honestly but...It ended up saving his life and our sanity! The family weekend program really helped with healing and understanding, it changed my life and perspective too. Tomorrow my son celebrates 2 years clean and sober! While I am grateful for my sobriety I really am getting tired if being treated like less of a human. A few months back a counselor and the program director violated several of my patients rights and broke numerous codes of conduct on their part. I filed a complaint and the regional director took their side, talked down to me, refused to hear my side of the story or look at the physical evidence I had on tape. Even my counselor told her that Im not one to start any trouble but I will stand up for myself but it was to no avail as again today they tried to withold my take homes even though they were paid for in advance even though they said to just bring it today it wasn't a problem. Thats $60. The pharmacist has a real attitude problem, which it all started because of her last time too. They dont let you ever forget youre the junkie and they are above you. If there was a closer clinic I would be gone but now they have me dependent on this drug. Theyre legal drug dealers in pretty wrapper

This is such a awesome place . Everyone there is so kind and very helpful. They have been right there for me every step of the way. I'm so thankful that they take time out there lives to help people like me. So so thankful for this place. They truly are doing God's work. Caring for the sick and lost. Love this place

Had the BEST experience from my pre-op appointment to surgery recovery area. Everyone was customer oriented, walking you through the hospital so I wouldn't get lost, explaining every part of the process and then Dr. Finan!!! He is so kind and professional. Also, i have rolling veins and they had the IV in with two sticks....other hospital it took eleven tries. Singing River Pascagoula was great!!

I’ve stayed here twice. It really is a good place to be when your in distress. Nowhere is perfect but they helped me. If I ever need to be hospitalized again I’d go here. I’d recommend it to my family and friends if they needed help. The last time I was there I was in icu psychosis from being on a ventilator for a week. At first I was hallucinating so bad I thought I was a hostage. They were really patient with me when I didn’t even know where I was and kept trying to leave. With the right medications and some time I got back to normal. The food is good. The staff has to deal with all kinds of people and they do a good job. I give it 4 stars because like I said nowhere’s perfect. No psyc hospital anyway.

Traci (Dr.White) has always been so kind and caring. I was getting shocked by my defibrillator repeatedly while in clinic a few months ago and she held my arm and told me that she and Dr Ivey were there, that they would not let anything happen to me. That made me feel much better in a very dire and scary situation. Staff always answers mychart messages very quickly and efficiently as well. Forever grateful for her and all of the staff.

I was transferred from hell called MS State hospital to here in October of 2009. My stay lasted until June of 2010. I walked I and thought this place was going to be like the rest. I was wrong. This place saved my life. The third shift were loud and obnoxious and a few of the first and second shift staff were, in my opnion, not meant to be there. The therapist, phychiatrist, "the board", and everything else was different. Most of the people there would go out of there way to help you. The one on one time, walking around outside talking to a trusted staff member, the nurses were amazing and patient, especially Nurse Scott. They helped me obtain my GED. If this place is still the same as is was when I was there, I would HIGHLY recommend this place. I wish they had an adult facility because I need the care this place gave me as a teenager. Plus the food was decent too. They made the place feel somewhat like a home than just a facility, which made treatment easier.

I’ve been on the program for 12 years, I ve had 3 awesome counselors. I stayed with one for 9 years, without her I wouldn’t have made it. She was in recovery herself, so She understood me. It is pretty bad right now, with the employee turnover rate, and organization with the Hurricane season. But with anything there is good and bad. I am sure they will get it back together soon.People need to understand that they are highly critiqued by federal laws. But as long as you do what your supposed to, you will not have any problems.

If someone rates this place anything but excellent I would take the review with a grain of salt. I see some blaming the faculty and facility on them not maintaining their sobriety. That’s the exact reason you’re not sober because you have zero accountability. Always someone else’s fault blah blah blah. Meeting after meeting after guest speakers like Simon and Mr Roy or Vinny. I see one person said they was strip searched and humiliated lol. That’s a lie you go into the bathroom when u arrive and pass your clothes and and belongings out the door to be searched as it should be. They can’t have you poisoning the whole damn operation bringing in a pile of drugs . And it’s also not in front of anyone. Once again another person blaming the establishment. We were they to focus on our sobriety not to find someone else known for making poor decisions to spend the rest of our life with. Hahahaha. Aight I’m done ranting. This place is the best around and I would recommend it to anyone that’s scared as hell to go into a program alone. They saved my life.

Love it. They don’t want to see you everyday, they want you to succeed and get your take homes and they make youstill feel like a human and not just a number with a $. If you have to wait more than 10-20 minutes ever from pull up to leaving lot then suck it up and shut your mouth because it’s a rare occurrence and if you have been to other clinics you know how long the wait time is almost daily 😭 just remember that on those blue moon days 😁 But truly they are phenomenal ;each nurse Dr and counselor deserve praise! I work construction out of town a lot,so I've been to a few dozen clinics from Philadelphia PA to Jacksonville FL. By far this facility is 10 times more professional,quick responses for whatever reasons. Cleanest facility, friendliest, caring staff I've dealt with. If you've ever had to guest dose before,it can be a nightmare!! Maybe you didn't have any problems,but I have with other clinics. Not this one! They'll make sure you get the best help possible. I would never go anywhere else.WARNING! If you're not serious about sobriety then you may prefer the other dumps. Still give them a call! They saved my life!! I would love to see more of your bhg facilities in the Mississippi area and maybe have a federal guideline on amount of your dosage for guest dosing because I have been places where there was no problem but I've been to several states like Tennessee and I was taking more than their maximum level and I had to wait 2 weeks for a state approval. Of course I was working and it being 6 hours from my hometown I had to go home one day a week until they got it straight. I wouldn't have waited for 2 days in the waitroom thinking everything was going to be fine if someone would have told me or like I said every state be on the same thing or ar least respect the other states that aren't at the same dosage levels. We still have problems and are paying patients for treatment and I was furious after working 2 nights without and set there from 6 until 12 and then be told come back in the morning maybe we will be heard back from them. Communication is really what needs to be done between the states and the different companies policies.

Alta Pointe has helped my brother tremendously these past four years. The therapist he had the first time he came helped him so much with giving him tools and so many resources. He had recently gotten a new therapist about a few months ago and she is the absolute best. My brother loves going to her and truly enjoys the work they do in their session. My brother always shares with me the resources and advice he gets from each session and the crafts they do haha. Also, the doctor (Dr. Bray) is a real Godsend. My mom and brother loves her so much.
