This clinic works as a go to place near Meridian MS. Offers a lab, nurses, social workers, and ways to check on VA appointments. The only real problem is the parking lot in front is tight and drivers sometimes hit parked vehicles. The other issue is it opens at 0800, would be great especially 2 days a week is to open early to do bloodwork at lab so one can then get to work after.

The VA clinic in Meridian doesn't really have a wait time. If your appointment is set, then you can almost be certain thar you will see your provider at that time. So far, I have had no issues with being seen promptly and getting out of my appointment on time. Enjoy coming here because the ladies at the front desk are super nice and helpful to this new veteran navigating her transition out of the military. The staff interacts with my young child whenever one of them has to come with me to an appointment.

Although it had been a while since my last visit to the ER in neshoba general, The service is still excellent. I didn't have to wait too long to be admitted into a private area for treatment. Do you attending nurse was very informative and knowledgeable about his duties and although I expressed irritation at waiting for a length of time for treatment, he explained that there were problems with the x-ray equipment and offered some medication for pain relief which I was very grateful for. There were no unnecessary test or lab work given and everyone who worked there from the security to the medical staff were very polite, courteous, and helpful in every areas of the questions I asked. Thank you to everyone who works there and hope everyone else gets treated the way I did!

Husband and I were at the hospital to have ct and labs done. When I was finished I went to our planned meeting place to wait for him to finish his. While I was waiting, my service dog alerted me. A receptionist saw the situation and “did the code”…..I can recall bits and pieces of the situation. A “ herd” ( I do mean a lot!) of personnel were there to help. Next thing I remember I was in ER , in a bay , all monitors on me, …WITH my service dog beside me…. NO ONE threatened to take my service dog .( She is a trained service dog, not a pet trying to pass as a SD!) I have been challenged about her being with me at other close by hospitals, (other hospitals need to be trained on ADA.)The ER staff did a great job taking care of me…, Knowledgeable, professional, and COURTEOUS …. NO unnecessary tests e.g. labs just done earlier.!! ( we ALL know THAT story). When necessary in the future we will be using Neshoba General. They are a great service to your community!

Took my wife to the ER for severe back spasms. The ER nurses could not be more polite and professional. The Doctor was very attentive and informative. Over all it was a very pleasant experience for a trying time. I would go to this hospital for any problem.

Can't get my refills that I was told were sent over before I left and they apparently were not. It should be resolved soon though.

I was there at the inpatient PTSD program from March until May. I had a very positive experience while there. The medical staff was always polite to me as well as any of the other staff members I met. I never felt like I was a problem or a burden or causing them an inconvenience when I asked for something.
This VA helped save my life and give me the foundation to lay my new mental health journey upon. My case worker Robin S. was aces! Helped me selected a class schedule-work load that was focused on PTSD.
The only issue I had was the food. The food was horrible but the dietician’s did work with me to change up my personal menu.
There are rules in place for the resident and the rules will not be violated without repercussions. I kept my head down, minded my own business and walked so much around the campus in my down time. Those 7 weeks flew by.
You can have Amazon prime deliver things to you for your stay and your allowed door dash. There are random drug screenings and breathalyzers as part of the stay. These are mandatory not suggested.
Be involved in your care and you will have a great experience. Be a problem and you’re gonna get treated as such.
Thank you to everyone who helped me to get there, while I was there and the after discharge phone calls to check up on me. I am one appreciative veteran.

I was there. I was in a place in my life where I could not continue on the path that I was taking. The counselors helped me work through the things within me that chained me to a way of life that was really no life at all. It was more of a way of death. That was five years ago. I am still sober. That facility helped me help myself. I am grateful. If you are reading this then you or someone you care about is in a bad place in their life. I know the feeling of crushing desperation. Go. Go and follow the program. Like you, I felt like AA was a bit culty. Trust me, man, it isn't. Once I wrapped my head around the principles of it and reconciled those principles with my personal faith in God I realized what a good thing it really is. They don't want to run you. They don't want your money. They just want to help you. I absolutely recommend it. It saved my life. It helped me make my life worth living

Wow, I'm shocked at previous reviewers. I don't know their whole story, but I'll share mine.
The office staff were kind, respectful, and knew me by name after the first week.
The therapists I met with were professional, used up to date research and evidence based interventions.
I had a miscommunication issue about money, and the director called me herself to make sure she understood my issue. She listened and understood. More than working out the money, she was safe and trustworthy to problem solve with.
I would recommend the Shephearst experience to anyone.

A close family member for whom I am responsible was at this facility for 4 months. They had previously been in 2 other settings without little to no improvement. The physician at MSH got her on an effective medication regimen. The social worker was a God-send, helping me find a placement that met my loved one's needs and which we could financially manage. Before and after discharge, I experienced support and empathy that I had not found in other situations. Great place. Staff was very friendly. Dr. Hipp has the best bedside manner. Took our 4yo girl in for a cut to her eyebrow. He played with her and get her to relax before glueing the wound shut. Don’t want to have to go back because, well, it’s a hospital and you don’t usually go unless something is wrong. If we do have to go back, we won’t be worried.
