The Best place to go if you are truly ready to be where your purpose is in life and being that way without drugs in your life or whatever you may need help with that is preventing you to be who you are suppose to be . DW helped transformed me into where I am today..I personally had a spiritual awakening on Dec 17th , 2025. I on my own free will admitted myself with the help of my support team to DW on Jan. 10th, 2026. Long story short after reading reviews on several other places to go for help DW is the one I always came back to. The staff ,the counselors, the nursers, and the cooks are truly blessings too,! But I will say that Shelley, the RN finally got my meds at 5 days and my suboxone got lost somehow, and I was definitely taken back at how operations have changed, but the texts were pretty good. The therapist at BTR are very professional and personal. They are helping me to understand and further develop the skills I need in my recovery. These folks helped me get back on my feet and returned to productive work when I was 45 with months of therapy for a low back injury. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson, MS. I have friends who work here, and I’ve seen firsthand how much they genuinely care about the veterans they serve. Many of the doctors, nurses, and support staff go above and beyond every day, often under challenging circumstances, to make sure veterans are treated with respect, compassion, and dignity. I attended Harbor House in Jackson in 2014. Pam Moore was my counselor. I am still clean today. It took me 5 rehabs until I was ready. I came to the area and spent the whole summer. I had to make a special call to give a personal "Thank You" to Executive Director, Dedria D. Black for her wonderful staff at the Harbor House Chemical Dependency Center in Jackson Mississippi. The staff there are Professionals, Supportive, Compassionate, Caring etc. Their treatment philosophy goes above and beyond to make sure that their clients get the very best care for their recovery. Whenever I would call they gave me updates on my family member and their recovery. I've had over 40 years experience managing and working hands on in customer service. Finding the perfect team isn't easy but they've managed to do just that at the Harbor House. I would also like to send a special "Thank You" to Mission Specialist, Mrs. Shirley, Intake Coordinator, Mrs. Kayla, Nurse Manager, Mrs. Morenik and Counselor, Mrs. Kim Curtis for going above and beyond. I know this facility has mixed reviews, but I wanted to share our experience so far. My father was recently transferred here after a very serious hospitalization involving dehydration, malnutrition, lithium toxicity, sepsis, and aspiration pneumonia. During our first visit we were able to meet with his doctor, Dr. Coughlin, and the staff working with him. Everyone we encountered was kind, professional, and took time to speak with us about his care and recovery plan. The facilities and grounds are well kept, and the environment felt calm and organized. From what we have seen so far, the staff truly seem to care about the patients. We are already seeing signs of progress with my dad, including him standing with assistance and beginning to eat again. It may be too early to give a final rating, but based on our first visit and the care we have seen so far, we are very grateful for the doctors and staff who are working with him and helping him get back on his feet.

I thank God I started going to Region 8. They have helped me so very much. I did have a few therapist that were not the right fit for me, so I requested a change and now I have been seeing the same one for over a year and have finally started seeing improvement. Everyone there has been great. The front desk staff are not the best but you find people who are not that nice at any place. The people who are there to help in the back have always been wonderful to me.

I have been very pleased with my son's doctor and therapist at Region 8. His doctor doesn't just write a prescription. She thoroughly questions my son and me to ensure he is getting the proper medicine, dose, and the proper care. His therapist is absolutely wonderful. She has consistently, every two weeks, visited my son at school, at home, and even now during the summer, for several years now. My son's Region 8 doctor and therapist work as a team with me and his teachers to make sure that my son gets the best care possible.

Update: 2025 Should have updated this long ago, but this VA clinic has gotten Sooo much better the last couple of years. Staff is friendly, helpful, and now return phone calls within a few hours. I feel heard and health concerns are taken care of soon. Thanks for all you do. I'm shocked and dismayed that something has not been done to aid the suffering veterans that are subject to the poor care provided ... wait, to say provided would imply that SOME care has been given by this clinic. It appears that rather than answer calls they just hang up and if you're lucky enough to be to wait through the useless voicemail system and are able to leave a message it won't be returned. I've been trying to get through to this clinic for over six months and have yet to make contact. I've written my senators and an currently working on placing an OIG complaint. This office needs to be investigated and if need be, totally restaffed. Veterans should not have to put up with this kind of mistreatment after having served to protect their country.

This clinic works as a go to place near Meridian MS. Offers a lab, nurses, social workers, and ways to check on VA appointments. The only real problem is the parking lot in front is tight and drivers sometimes hit parked vehicles. The other issue is it opens at 0800, would be great especially 2 days a week is to open early to do bloodwork at lab so one can then get to work after.

My son has been in Millcreek a very long time and we are glad that we got him the care he needs, I just wish we had a place like this in Montana. So many children need this 24-7 care and it's sad that most states don't have a facility like this closer to home. I do appreciate the staff so very much and my son is doing great. I am very pleased with how much he has grown over the years by being in Millcreek.

My son has been in the residential part for kids with special needs for a year and a half now . He is a completely different kid now . He can do things I thought would take decades for him to finally do . He is taken care of and loved by the staff as if he were their own child . It’s the one on one staff and caretakers that make this facility so successful In what they are doing for our most vulnerable children . This facility is full of employees that have been working there forever , so they know the kids and they know their job . Everyone you encounter gives 110% plus some, to their job and their commitment to these children . They make it so that I as a parent able to sleep at night knowing our kid is loved , safe , and thriving . Millcreek in my experience is the gold standard of care for special needs children and should be modeled as such by other facilities like them in the country.

My review is primarily about Dr. Amelia Kelley and Ms Rita. Dr. Kelley from the beginning has always been very understanding of my issues with without dismissing them as others have done, working with me to come up with a treatment plan and listening to feedback. She has always put patient care above anything else. Ms Rita has always been a cheerful person to talk to. Radiating positive vibes everytime you walk through the door or call up there. She's always been able to solve any issue I've come to her with. I know that Weems also has many mental health programs to help the community as well.
