The Best place to go if you are truly ready to be where your purpose is in life and being that way without drugs in your life or whatever you may need help with that is preventing you to be who you are suppose to be . I on my own free will admitted myself with the help of my support team to DW on Jan. 10th, 2026. Many things have changed since 4 years ago. But I will say that Shelley, the RN finally got my meds at 5 days and my suboxone got lost somehow, and I was definitely taken back at how operations have changed, but the texts were pretty good. If I could, I would check 10 out of 5 stars. Defining Wellness was not the first treatment center I had attended, it was the fourth; two IOPs and a residential treatment center prior. I can't fully put into words the difference in the quality of care I received at Defining Wellness. I thought the first treatment center I went to was great and I made it a little over two weeks before I relapsed. I went to an IOP shortly after and had my first large period of sobriety and then, relapse. I made it about two weeks after my second IOP before I made the decision that I needed a higher level of care and was referred to Defining Wellness. The facility was super nice. 5 star luxury accommodations? Close, but the facility far exceeded my expectations. What made the difference and very literally saved my life was that staff. These people pour their hearts and souls into ensuring their clients are taken care of to the best of their abilities. In the 48 days I was there between detox, residential and residential PHP I never had the same class. I never experienced boredom from being told the same thing over and over again. Counselors took their personal time to speak with me if I had questions or just to talk to me to see how I was doing. The classes we had daily were well thought out and conducted by people that obviously had an intense passion about bettering the lives of others. I am days away from beating my "record" of the longest period of sobriety I've ever had and I owe every single day to the faculty of Defining Wellness. I would recommend this facility to anyone who genuinely wants to learn that they may have to live with their disease for the rest of their life, but they can live it without using ever again. I have accepted and am comfortable with the fact that I never have to drink again. Thank you to everyone at Defining Wellness for saving my life and allowing me to start the process of finding myself after 25 years of redefining my rock bottom over and over again.

I know medical centers—especially VA facilities—can receive mixed reviews, but I want to take a moment to highlight the amazing work and dedication of the staff at the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson, MS. I have friends who work here, and I’ve seen firsthand how much they genuinely care about the veterans they serve. Many of the doctors, nurses, and support staff go above and beyond every day, often under challenging circumstances, to make sure veterans are treated with respect, compassion, and dignity. The staff works hard to listen, advocate, and provide the best care possible, and that commitment does not go unnoticed. Our veterans deserve kindness and dedication, and there are many people at this facility who truly deliver that. Thank you to the staff who show up every day and give their best to those who have served our country.

I thank God I started going to Region 8. They have helped me so very much. I did have a few therapist that were not the right fit for me, so I requested a change and now I have been seeing the same one for over a year and have finally started seeing improvement. I have been very pleased with my son's doctor and therapist at Region 8. His doctor doesn't just write a prescription. She thoroughly questions my son and me to ensure he is getting the proper medicine, dose, and the proper care. His therapist is absolutely wonderful. She has consistently, every two weeks, visited my son at school, at home, and even now during the summer, for several years now. My son's Region 8 doctor and therapist work as a team with me and his teachers to make sure that my son gets the best care possible.

Really enjoyed Hope, Naomi, and Jim. I went in for anxiety treatment back in 2015. I was in the adolescent program. I didn’t enjoy the intern they had at the time, because he purposely triggered my anxiety to get me to react. He made me have a panic/ anxiety attack to see how I’d react to it. I did not enjoy going to the down range camp either because I was extremely triggered there as well. But overall I enjoyed the experience. Hope was my favorite. I liked the art therapy & being outside. It was a safe place for most of the time. Update: I had to come back and seek treatment again. It was not a bad experience. My only issue is that my eating disorder was not properly addressed or really even acknowledged. But most everyone on the staff was amazing. They were patient with me. They gave me tools I needed in order to cope. I just loved Angela, Chris, Amy, Sherry, and Paula. Art therapy was a good time. Dr. H always had a smile on his face and made you feel welcome. Cheryl was truly an amazing nurse that made you feel safe. I appreciated Karen’s insight. Sherry was the least judgmental therapist on staff. I will miss them all.

I came here for treatment a few years ago, suffering with what I consider to be immense anxiety and depression. I had an amazing experience here. All of their therapists handled my case very well. Amy, the art therapist, was truly one of a kind. I have taken some of her skills and used them in my own personal life, to this day. I am a teacher now, and I have taught the kids many coping skills that I learned from here. I still very much appreciate the time that Hope took with me to help me heal from my disordered eating. She went above and beyond during our lunch sessions, which is something I will never forget, and always thank her for. Pamela was my therapist, and I felt like she showed great compassion through her work. There was one therapist here that when I presented my issues, they disregarded them and told the group not to help me. I felt very shameful after that, but I have since forgiven that therapist and hope that it was just a mistake. I will never forget the warm, and safe feeling that I experienced anytime I was around David.Cheryl was a great nurse, I could tell she cared about her patients more than anything. Yancey is an absolute angel, who was willing to work with my financial issues, due to me being a young adult and paying for the program myself.Evan was a very safe person to be around, and I appreciated him greatly also. Overall, I feel like this is for sure a safe place, and if I were to fall back in a dark place, I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Update: 2025 Should have updated this long ago, but this VA clinic has gotten Sooo much better the last couple of years. Staff is friendly, helpful, and now return phone calls within a few hours. I feel heard and health concerns are taken care of soon. Thanks for all you do. I'm shocked and dismayed that something has not been done to aid the suffering veterans that are subject to the poor care provided ... wait, to say provided would imply that SOME care has been given by this clinic. It appears that rather than answer calls they just hang up and if you're lucky enough to be to wait through the useless voicemail system and are able to leave a message it won't be returned. I've been trying to get through to this clinic for over six months and have yet to make contact. I've written my senators and an currently working on placing an OIG complaint. This office needs to be investigated and if need be, totally restaffed. Veterans should not have to put up with this kind of mistreatment after having served to protect their country.

This clinic works as a go to place near Meridian MS. Offers a lab, nurses, social workers, and ways to check on VA appointments. The only real problem is the parking lot in front is tight and drivers sometimes hit parked vehicles. The other issue is it opens at 0800, would be great especially 2 days a week is to open early to do bloodwork at lab so one can then get to work after.

My son has been in Millcreek a very long time and we are glad that we got him the care he needs, I just wish we had a place like this in Montana. So many children need this 24-7 care and it's sad that most states don't have a facility like this closer to home. I do appreciate the staff so very much and my son is doing great. My son has been in the residential part for kids with special needs for a year and a half now . He is a completely different kid now . He can do things I thought would take decades for him to finally do . He is taken care of and loved by the staff as if he were their own child . It’s the one on one staff and caretakers that make this facility so successful In what they are doing for our most vulnerable children . This facility is full of employees that have been working there forever , so they know the kids and they know their job . Everyone you encounter gives 110% plus some, to their job and their commitment to these children . They make it so that I as a parent able to sleep at night knowing our kid is loved , safe , and thriving . Millcreek in my experience is the gold standard of care for special needs children and should be modeled as such by other facilities like them in the country.

I am going to give this place 4 stars. I LOVE LOVE MY DR. DR RICHARDS. She cared about my mental health and treated me as a person from the second I walked in that room. She is trying so hard to find the right med for me. Being very patient and kind. Getting to know me taking her time which I love and truly appreciate. Now the counselors/therapist on the other.. the first one I got she answered the phone the whole time poor girl was so lost she was an intern. I told her i was not upset. It wasn’t her fault. The second therapist I got was ok. He just listened to me. Just let me let it all out. Didn’t give me any feedback except telling me that I am very self aware and I know what to do. However it was my first session so with that being said I think the advice he gave me was what I needed to hear. We have had one hiccup where my prescription wasn’t sent it should have been but that was quickly resolved. I see a lot of bad reviews but they have been so good to me. From the front desk to the schedulers to the counselors to the drs. They saw how bad I needed help and they helped me. They made me feel seen and heard for the first time in so long. The meds they prescribed helped me tremendously. I recommend this place.

My review is primarily about Dr. Amelia Kelley and Ms Rita. Dr. Kelley from the beginning has always been very understanding of my issues with without dismissing them as others have done, working with me to come up with a treatment plan and listening to feedback. She has always put patient care above anything else. Ms Rita has always been a cheerful person to talk to. Radiating positive vibes everytime you walk through the door or call up there.
