My son has been in the residential part for kids with special needs for a year and a half now . He is a completely different kid now . He can do things I thought would take decades for him to finally do . He is taken care of and loved by the staff as if he were their own child . It’s the one on one staff and caretakers that make this facility so successful In what they are doing for our most vulnerable children .
This facility is full of employees that have been working there forever , so they know the kids and they know their job . Everyone you encounter gives 110% plus some, to their job and their commitment to these children . They make it so that I as a parent able to sleep at night knowing our kid is loved , safe , and thriving . Millcreek in my experience is the gold standard of care for special needs children and should be modeled as such by other facilities like them in the country.

I was in this detention center for 1 year I can say I have changed I haven’t went back and it’s been about 5 years.
I was sent to this hospital for 3 different Infusions due to being a cancer patient and being diagnosed with covid. The care that each nurse and lab tech and the young ladies at the front desk showed me was above and beyond. The whole staff was exceptional. I wished I would have gotten all their names to thank them personally. Keep up the great work . It's medical teams like you guys that patients like me want to see. You all definitely earned 5 stars.

2 gentlemen came to my place of employment in Pass Christian this morning and I bought something from them to support the cause. As a recovering addict myself, I'm happy that I was able to help others like me. I think it's really great what you are doing and that you are helping others get clean.
I highly recommend this facility. The methodology used is effective and people were extremely kind. My son went in 2016, I thought I had reviewed them, not sure what it’s like now, but we got our son back who had been lost in drug use for 10 years.

The receptionist and nurses were very fast and friendly.
I rate them a 5 out of 5. Absolutely one of the best programs in the country. Has a higher success rate than most acute rehabs at a fraction of the cost. This is a clinical / medical program with top notch expertise and staff.
This place saved my life! It’s beautiful location and therapeutic atmosphere is magical and the staff there is so special. They make you feel loved and deeply care about every person there. I felt like I was on vacation while I was healing and learning so much about myself. They allow you to be human and not feel like you are a patient and that speaks volumes. I would recommend it for anyone struggling. Thank you so much DW family.

I would like to share as a parent who had a family member in treatment at Defining Wellness. My son was very well cared for here and I highly recommend this facility. Addiction affects the entire family, and, thanks to the amazing staff at DW, we also began to heal as a family.

Dr. Anderson was amazing. This has been the best experience in psychiatry that I’ve ever had. He doesn’t simply push medication on you, he works with the mind, body and spirit to create a treatment plan that has longevity. His conservative manner of medication prescription makes me feel safe and the professionalism is top notch. His bedside manner and ability to listen to my thoughts and opinions is amazing. He literally asked me before I left the office if I felt seen, heard and understood. Who does that? I’m a patient for life.

Dr. Turner is awesome. He is caring and compassionate. I had to leave Pine Grove in March for insurance reasons, but when I found out my insurance was accepted there now, I would not see anyone else except William Turner.
I had to make a special call to give a personal "Thank You" to Executive Director, Dedria D. Black for her wonderful staff at the Harbor House Chemical Dependency Center in Jackson Mississippi. The staff there are Professionals, Supportive, Compassionate, Caring etc. Their treatment philosophy goes above and beyond to make sure that their clients get the very best care for their recovery. Whenever I would call they gave me updates on my family member and their recovery. I've had over 40 years experience managing and working hands on in customer service. Finding the perfect team isn't easy but they've managed to do just that at the Harbor House. I would also like to send a special "Thank You" to Mission Specialist, Mrs. Shirley, Intake Coordinator, Mrs. Kayla, Nurse Manager, Mrs. Morenik and Counselor, Mrs. Kim Curtis for going above and beyond. I know that my family member is at the right place getting the treatment and tools that they need to be successful in life. Don't change a thing. After reading other posted reviews, I must admit I have experienced most of them. However, if I have the time to complain, I have the time for applause. Everyone does not have the privilege of receiving treatment from the Pink Clinic. Therefore, I must bring attention to one of their brightest stars, Nurse of the Year, LPN Jeanette Adams. Amazing staff! I cant say enough great things about the methodist's staff! Ive been helping my brother in law through a traumatizing illness. Ultimately ending in an above the knee amputation and the death of my sister. The staff has been amazing! My only complaint is their signage. If you are visiting the facility in Flowwood, do yourself a favor....CALL and ask for directions! Its a large facility with multiple buildings and entrances. The signage needs an improvement!

After 25 years on Methadone and 20 years on everything else, I've finally had about enough and this clinic has played a major role in preparing me and giving me the tools, the support and guidance necessary to make the slow transition, off MMT. Im doing it according to the Dr this time, not my own genius thinking that got me here. Im halfway there, down to 80mg and going down a little each week. I can't say enough about the staff.. Always doing little things, they actually care.. Great job guys, in 25 years you run the best clinic I've been to..

I've been on opioid maintenance for 7 years. I've been through 3 states. And I'm currently at the Jackson MS location. I love the staff and that they have always been helpful, understanding, knowledgeable. Never rude which is a deal breaker when dealing with addiction. Thank you 😊

I initially gave this clinic a bad review. I was sick and couldn't get seen. However, once I got through the initial screening (this appointment takes some time). I found them to be extremely competent. And they care. They are a small clinic with few people and limited resources. But, they are VERY thorough. Be patient, they are under the control of VAMC Jackson. We all know how bad Jackson VA is (except our useless congressmen and senators, I suppose).
My advice is as follows:
1. Get a clinic appointment. Try to get Dr. Bowling. She will get to the bottom of any medical problem. This lady is tenacious when it comes to her vets!
2.Sign up for myhealthevet. Once you make an account, upgrade to the premium account. It will say you have to send in a form for the premium account. Just call the 800 number and have the service person upgrade it for you. They're very helpful. This will allow you to order health records, check prescriptions, communicate with you're health team. In other words bypass the VA bureaucracy.
Sorry for the long post. Hope it helps.
August 2023 update.
They've run off ALL their doctors! Go to VAMC Biloxi instead.

Stopped into the clinic to take care of paperwork today.
I love this clinic very much. Firstly, the clerk, a brunette lady with glasses whose name I unfortunately don't know, is so, so, so sweet and is always very patient. She never makes me feel rushed or like I'm in the way, and best of all, she always compliments my perfume!! it makes me so happy :) secondly, I see the therapist Jon. I love him so much!! He is the first therapist I've ever truly trusted. I will go in feeling like I am about to go into a crisis and leave feeling completely normal. They all help me so much and I am so happy I finally reached out to them. Thank you imagine:)

Do yourself a favor and see Jennifer Simmons, MSN. She is oustanding! Very compassionate, attentive, and makes time for her patients'. She has helped me so much and still continues to go above and beyond. I've experienced great care here and continue to do so. The staff are also amazing, very helpful, friendly, and professional! I want to thank all of you for your help, and hope that others can find the care that I have found here.
I thank God I started going to Region 8. They have helped me so very much. I did have a few therapist that were not the right fit for me, so I requested a change and now I have been seeing the same one for over a year and have finally started seeing improvement. Everyone there has been great. The front desk staff are not the best but you find people who are not that nice at any place. The people who are there to help in the back have always been wonderful to me.

I have been very pleased with my son's doctor and therapist at Region 8. His doctor doesn't just write a prescription. She thoroughly questions my son and me to ensure he is getting the proper medicine, dose, and the proper care. His therapist is absolutely wonderful. She has consistently, every two weeks, visited my son at school, at home, and even now during the summer, for several years now. My son's Region 8 doctor and therapist work as a team with me and his teachers to make sure that my son gets the best care possible.

Man, JMS Recovery gave me more than just a second chance — they gave me my damn life back. I was deep in it... like real bad. Detox was brutal, not gonna lie, but the folks here didn’t flinch. They walked me through every step, even when I was a complete mess.It ain’t just about getting clean here — it’s about figuring out how to live again without the crutch. The counselors weren’t just reading out of some book, they knew what I was feeling. Group sessions hit hard, and somehow I ended up laughing again — hadn’t done that in years. If you’re tired of the chaos, this spot’s the real deal.
I was there. I was in a place in my life where I could not continue on the path that I was taking. The counselors helped me work through the things within me that chained me to a way of life that was really no life at all. It was more of a way of death. That was five years ago. I am still sober. Wow, I'm shocked at previous reviewers. I don't know their whole story, but I'll share mine.
The office staff were kind, respectful, and knew me by name after the first week.
The therapists I met with were professional, used up to date research and evidence based interventions.
I had a miscommunication issue about money, and the director called me herself to make sure she understood my issue. She listened and understood. More than working out the money, she was safe and trustworthy to problem solve with.
I would recommend the Shephearst experience to anyone.

I was in building 81 in 2015. Majority of staff was very helpful and understanding. I knew it wasn’t going to be great but I obeyed the rules and worked the program. I have been sober for four years and attend meetings weekly. I’m very grateful to God.
