Recently went in for a new patient visit and we were pleasantly surprised with how attentive and kind everyone was. We truly felt that they care about the needs of the patient. We have not yet received any treatment here, but the people we met put us at ease and took time with us to discuss things and answer any questions. So far they have exceeded our expectations and we appreciate the kindness and attentiveness.

As a traveling veteran, I had to come into the one day clinic for a growth on my hand. I’ve had skin cancer in the past, so was concerned. I was seen by a NP Joelle who to me was absolutely awesome. She froze the area, since I’m not in the area long enough for further treatment. Beautiful and clean facility. Wait time less than 30 minutes.

The staff are amazing at what they do and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to start my journey of recovery! Wyoming recovery is they best place to go by far and I think it’s so amazing that they let you still interact with the community and not feel like your locked down all the time and they give you the chance to get away for a few hours on the weekend! 9 days after checking in I was asked to leave the facility due to insurance issues. 9 days prior I was told I was covered at almost 100% upon further investigation on my part it appears my leaving was due to negligents on the nurse and front office staff who did not comply with my insurance policies. Required paperwork was never submitted to insurance by the office staff. It was a holiday weekend and they could not be bothered by coming into work for 4 consecutive days to comply with my insurance. My 9th day I was called in the nurses office at 3:20pm and was told I only could stay until 5 pm. Was offered a 9am-9am 7 days a week program at $150 a week. I do not live in Casper and getting a ride to and from and a place to sleep as well as money for meals was not in the cards for me. She also stated they had exhausted all options unless I wanted to pay cash of an ungodly amount that day. Which was just not an option for me. My insurance has assured me in writing I am covered at 100% for 90 days a calendar year. I would like to add the tec’s Martha, Troy,Jeramy,Jesse, Dana, Carlene were absolutely wonderful as well as the therapists. I was extremely sad to leave. Had I not been treated so poorly I would have liked to return. No one will accept or admit a mistake was made, I was talked down to and treated unfairly in addition too poor communication and laziness and for those reasons I have to leave this review. It’s seems new front office staff is desperately needed at this point.

Oh where to start... how about medications and therapy? The VA will grant a veteran 30mins for a massage and acupuncture, then wonder why it's not working as intended and then ask you if you want any drugs. Mind you, cannabis to them is a drug whereas prescription drugs that can kill you are ok. Let's move onto admin now. BHVA is completely ate up. BHVA is on par with the Montana VA which is not a compliment. Black Hills VA behavioral health is also a complete joke. I've dealt with the va enough that I don't ever want to deal with their shrinks (too many bad experiences) so when I got referred to community care... their lead shrink called to deny that request. Sure the va has shrinks, but I've dealt enough with their 3rd rate "doctors" that I really don't want to deal with dependency or addiction for their drugs. Truthfully the VA is in depressing shambles and needs to not be overhauled but completely dismantled. Giving crap health care for those that signed up on the dotted line only makes us believe you want us to die especially when you try to push your snake oil drugs on us. The VA hands out GATEWAY drugs for us to get addicted to willingly and knowingly yet they will claim cannabis is the drug that leads to other drugs.... mind you it's only one. There are countless other remedies and therapies that work for a great many of things yet the VA passes over them in favor of medications/drugs that will kill you.

Deeply Unprofessional and Potentially Harmful Conduct I am extremely disappointed in the way New Freedom Center handled the recent discharge of someone very close to me. With less than a week left in her treatment program and clear plans in place for what would come next, she was suddenly discharged with no warning. She was released with no food, no money, no shelter, no transportation, and absolutely no aftercare plan. For a facility that claims to focus on recovery, this is not only unacceptable — it’s dangerous. Discharging someone in early recovery with no support or preparation puts them at extreme risk of relapse and undermines all the progress they’ve made. It’s hard not to view this as a financially motivated decision. The insurance payments had already been collected, and it appears they chose to free up a bed rather than support a patient through their final days in treatment. That’s not care — that’s patient dumping. Recovery demands compassion, structure, and responsibility. What happened here demonstrated none of those things. It was not just unprofessional — it was reckless. I strongly urge anyone considering New Freedom Center to think twice. If this is how they treat people at their most vulnerable, it speaks volumes about their true priorities.
