This place is a joke! Do NOT take your children here! Children run away from this place because they feel safer running the streets than being with the staff. My daughter's mental health was worse after being there, when they were supposed to help. ALL of her belongings are missing. At least $2,000 worth of clothing, bedding, hygiene products, shoes, makeup, jewelry, sentimental stuffed toys, etc. And they won't do anything about it. Staff told my daughter they would throw her things away or sell them. I would guess that this is exactly what happened. Everytime I talked to her on the phone, you could hear staff screaming at the children. 100% regret ever sending my daughter to this place

What they did to me was wrong. i never did anything to deserve this.
i was wanted to leave that place because i was abuse alot from them.
i had burns and bruises.
i watch my peers get thrown down to.
tell why are they doing this to everyone no one actually deserve this.
My friend killed herself because she burns and bruises on her body and she could not handle apa anymore.
she came home crying because apa abuse her.

My husband went through the independence center over 30 years ago. He did relapse after the first 3 months but he did not attend any aftercare or AA. Within a year he started going to AA and has been sober for almost 35 years. My son has also been through the independence center twice with varied success. He has had relapses but maintained sobriety for the majority of the time. He has used the tools he learned there to get sober again after relapsing without having to reenter treatment. The program will work for you if your honest with yourself and do the work. Good luck and god bless!

When you are ready, you are ready. I did three rehabs in the span of three summers and I’ve been sober a year and a half since going to the Independence Center.
The ENTIRE staff wass genuinely interested in my recovery. Of course it’s up to me how honest I want to be with my counselor, Chaplin and myself (and God), but their unwavering encouragement doesn’t hurt and it didn’t. The facility is much better than others I’ve been to in Nebraska and they keep the distracting extracurricular horseplay to minimum. They have a great culture and alumni in the A.A. and Lincoln communities.

These people have a lack of urgency sense, they don't care if you are dying in the waiting room they won't attend you. Never go to this hospital, they don't know what service means.

Horrible management. After a few weeks their is no room to grow in this program as the groups and classes repeat. A Staff member tested positive for Covid 19 (positive staff member did quarantine) and the company decided to allow all the other staff to continue to work and not quarantine even though they do not wear their mask all the time. So all the patients are being repetitively exposed. If the patient decides to leave they will not get any credit for all the work they have put in. They bill for Region 2 and insurance companies for services that they are not providing. Even after the patient has completed all the work required to complete and graduate the program which is a 32 to 45 day program they are not allowing them to graduate before the 45 day mark. Staff member states this was because at the end of the day this is a business and they need to financially afford to keep the program running. Although they have a waiting list with over a 100 people waiting to get in the program. Most of the techs that work here a very young and have no experience with addiction issues or addiction Education degrees.

Had a medical emergency I’m from out of town. They took amazing care of me. I had to stay overnight because I needed surgery the next day. Unfortunately their hospital was full and they kept me in the emergency room. They went above and beyond for me!! Managed my pain with compassion and understanding. Barely a three star rating. That's just manhandling a good doctor. The collective consciousness that we are born with just don't want to change. The unconscious we are born and raised with just don't want to change as old habits are difficult to change. Koduri saved my life as well as his entire staff. Don't be haters, don't be stubborn. Great Plains is one of the best. So, they deserve five stars just wished it could go beyond five stars. Great Plains are doctors and these doctors really know their jobs, they know what they're doing. I have confidence and trust in Great Plains. They even saved my mom and dad. I think a different place, I wouldn't be here today. Keyword...they saved my life more than once. So, give them the benefit of a doubt and trust them. Don't let your guts or inner voice judge them. Just trust them.

I checked myself into touchstone in 2017 I was so nervous but they all welcomed me with open arm's they were all so nice. They other people were younger than me and I was okay with that we all got a long and helped each other. Amy was my counselor and she helped me so much I'm forever greatful for all her help with the death of my father. I'm still in contact with a few of the people and staff members on social media. I'm still sober will be 5 years next march 2022

Best tribe ever. They helped with my mothers funeral proceeding a couple of years ago and it was beautiful. They helped her in ways no one could prior to her passing and I am forever grateful.

I went and got seen here today, and my nurses name was timbres she was a big help. She went above and beyond her line of duty to help me out. She helped me with information that I had no idea about. I was also seen by a provider by the name of Tami. She was also a good provider going above and beyond her line of duty as well. I just want to thank these ladies for making me feel so welcomed to South Dakota, because I'm not from here I'm from Oklahoma. And these lady's make me feel at home.
