I think this counseling service has a good structure and great people working in it. I have been with Community Counseling since I was in 8th grade, Sandy has been the one with me throughout my whole highschool journey. I don't think without her i could have made it, i recommend this counseling center if you need any kind of mental or physical help.

Pine Lake Behavioral Health is the best clinic I have ever been to. I've been to other clinics in the past and consulted with various psychiatrists, but none compare to the experience here.
Jessica is the most outstanding psychiatrist I've ever had; she truly listens to your concerns and cares deeply about your wellbeing, offering the best care and treatment options available.
I entirely recommend her!! The nurses at this facility are incredible as well! They create a comfortable atmosphere and treat you like family! Carla and Anne have been nothing short of amazing, and I truly appreciate the effort they put in to ensure their patients feel at ease every single time they come in for treatments. Thank you!

I was having about the worst mental health crisis I had ever had. I was transferred here because my hospital didn’t have a bed available for me. They were very caring, knew your name instantly before even meeting you, and did the best they could to reassure you when you needed it. The nurses, techs, doctors, and therapists there were amazing! My husband went through the independence center over 30 years ago. He did relapse after the first 3 months but he did not attend any aftercare or AA. Within a year he started going to AA and has been sober for almost 35 years. My son has also been through the independence center twice with varied success. He has had relapses but maintained sobriety for the majority of the time. He has used the tools he learned there to get sober again after relapsing without having to reenter treatment. The program will work for you if your honest with yourself and do the work. Good luck and god bless!

Do not go here! My wife tried going here for PTSD. The nurses are terrible. They brow beat people, make jokes and threaten people's medication. They treat their patients and their needs like an annoyance. This place will cause more harm to your mental health. Go somewhere else.

I have been here for about 10 years now and have seen the staff come and go. I will say that yes there are some things that need to be worked on here. But with that being said my family and I are in the process of moving, and chose to stay in the state near this area because of this clinic and the select few employees here who make this clinic what it is. First Susan the nurse has been a blessing, she is always so nice, compassionate, and helpfull by far one of the best nurses I have ever had the pleasure of working with and I feel that she is under appreciated and should be praised for her hard work and care to her patients. Second Leta, a newer counselor who has listened to my constant jabbering and never makes me feel judged and helps in any way she can to make me feel heard and assists in helping me stay on track. Next Daniel a very pleasent person and usually the first person you see for your treatment needs, he always tries to make you feel welcome and helps with whatever you need. And last the new pharmacist he had big shoes to fill when the last pharmacist left, and has been doing an amazing job since. I would say if your looking for an affordable treatment center with these people who I have mentioned caring for you. You should have a successfull transition into a sober life.

Since day one Blue Valley has been a Godsend! I was at my rock bottom and couldnt have asked for a better referral. I highly advocate now to all my frienda and family. Seeing a therapist isnt just for those that are in a slump its honestly a place to escape and just talk. My therapist, Jen is absolutely the sweetest most gentle, kind and amazing listener. She has genuinely heard me rant, we also share stories about family.. she is a true angel in my book.im forever grateful for her in my healing process. My kids all want to come just because they have seen how much it has changed me for the better of the healing process. I'm more open now with my loved ones and even friends and neighbors. I now advocate for mental health awareness, don't wait til it's too late...go and see any of these theraapists at Blue valley in wahoo. But honestly ask for Jen shes my favorite ❤️ my youngest daughter has also seen Jen and is now seeing Michelle. And she was so excited after her last therapy appt she is excited to come back. I encourage it to be a safe place to just talk about anything that they don't want to talk to anyone else about. Its a safe space.

Horrible place. They over charge. Couldn’t help my kid over the course of 2 years and then insults us. Worked with a bunch of therapists. I would advise not going here and seeking help elsewhere.
