About Teen Challenge of South Texas

Just up the road from Strawberry Park in Pasadena, Texas, you’ll find a women’s residence belonging to the Texas chapter of Adult and Teen Challenge (ATC). ATC has a massive network of care facilities all across the United States where they offer their unique residential rehab program, aftercare support, and ministry training with a focus on applying the gospel to help people break free from addiction. This program is incredibly affordable, thanks to its ability to take in donations and sponsor care for eligible applicants.

At this location in particular, they offer their signature faith based residential rehabilitation program for women. They also have facilities in the Houston area that offer the same opportunity to men.

A Transformational Experience

The residential program runs over the course of at least 12 months, and in that time, they provide an environment and care approach that’s aimed at promoting holistic healing. In the first phase of treatment, they provide counseling, therapy, and discipleship only. This allows you to focus on repairing internal and external factors that may have led to or enabled substance or alcohol use.

In the next phases, they shift from counseling and therapy only to a routine that covers ongoing therapy, employment, and life skills development, and further discipleship. As a nonmedical rehab, their program required continued abstinence at all times, and they provide a supportive environment to make that achievable.

Re Entry Support in Pasadena

After your time in the main program, ATC does offer support with reintegrating into your community. Within the locality around this women’s center, you’ll find a housing support organization and the MEMCO temp agency, both of which can be useful when taking these next steps.

If you’re looking for a good rehab, one with trustworthy people, with an amazing faith based program, then this is the place! My aunt has gone through the program here & she stuck with it which says a lot because she fought it for a long time. It’s hard showing tough love to our family members, but they’re in good, genuine loving hands at this place. I am thankful for this program and what they teach the women at this facility.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Inpatient rehab programs are geared toward clients in early recovery. They also provide intensive support for clients in crisis and those at an increased relapse risk. Clients receive housing and meals while in inpatient care, allowing them to focus solely on their recovery. Most programs prioritize addiction counseling but may draw on various psychotherapeutic modalities, including CBT, DBT, RBT, trauma therapy, and motivational interviewing. Life skills training and holistic therapies are also common in inpatient care.

Treatments

Alcoholism occurs when a person becomes physically and psychologically dependent on alcohol. Attending a professional alcohol rehab in Texas can provide customized intervention methods to address the physical, mental, and relational challenges of addiction.

During rehab in Texas, you'll deal with underlying issues that contribute to addiction. By addressing these challenges and learning healthy ways to cope with them, you'll develop strategies that help you live a drug-free lifestyle.

Programs

Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.

Clinical Services

The goal of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in Texas is to change thought patterns, which leads to changes in behavior. Specific techniques during CBT can include self talk, SMART goals, journaling, and positive activities.

Peer support is an important aspect of group therapy sessions for drug and alcohol addiction. As you and your peers share stories and encourage each other, it fosters a sense of community and belonging that helps you process your feelings and reduces the sense of isolation that is associated with addiction.

Individual therapy offers you a confidential space to address the complexities of your drug or alcohol addiction. Your therapist guides these personalized sessions to help develop self awareness and manage stress. This promotes sustained sobriety and overall well being.
