This place saved my life! It’s beautiful location and therapeutic atmosphere is magical and the staff there is so special. They make you feel loved and deeply care about every person there. I would like to share as a parent who had a family member in treatment at Defining Wellness. My son was very well cared for here and I highly recommend this facility. Addiction affects the entire family, and, thanks to the amazing staff at DW, we also began to heal as a family.
I am impressed with every aspect of this program.

We didn’t know what to do when we realized our teen needed help. It’s not an easy decision to send your child to a residential treatment program and there aren’t many to choose from. I will say that sending our teen to Stonewater has been one of the best parenting decisions we have ever made. From our first phone call to admissions and to the last day of treatment, I have nothing but good things to say about the people who work there. They really care about helping these kids get their lives back on track. Trust the process and know that your child is in a great place with awesome people. Although my son was unable to attend Stonewater because our health insurance company refused to work with us, Bridget and Kyle went above and beyond to connect us with a facility that was “in-network”, closer to home, and will provide a comparable level of care. While I’m disappointed that my son could not attend Stonewater, I will be forever grateful for the time, energy, and care they afforded us in making sure that our son received the quality care he so desperately needs! Stonewater truly cares about the boys and families who participate in their recovery program. Dropping our son off, sight unseen, was the hardest thing to do in a dark time, but Stonewater staff supported us every step of the way and put our fears at ease. Communication was prompt, caring and informative, as we navigated residential treatment center operations. What appealed to me when making a decision was first- that it was family owned and operated by those in recovery or affected by addiction and or mental health needs, second- there are a max of 14 adolescent males at a time, third- it has a program ending duration of 90 days, fourth- it’s on 65 beautiful acres, fifth- staff were interested in my son’s specific needs and if he was a good fit, sixth- Stonewater’s emphasis on family participation is key throughout the entire process of healing and seventh- guidance for families to research and develop after care plans from the start to have a plan in place upon release. My son feels it’s one of the best facilities in the country, he’s not felt this healthy in years and says it changed his life. To hear his testimony speaks volumes to the quality of care Stonewater provides.

I just got home from this place and it was truly a good experience. I highly recommend it to anyone who's serious about getting off drugs. They have a great staff and it's so deep in the woods noone really thinks of leaving. They take you fishing down at the swamp. It is coed. You get to order your food from a grocery store and cook it yourself, so you're basically living with some forms of independence even though you're in treatment. I looked at my two week stay like a summer vacation. Thank you guys for having me.

UPDATE:
So I posted this when I initially left. I didn’t complete treatment. But it says a lot when a facility still has you turn your life around. I started methadone and have almost gotten everything in my life back. And it was all due to the care these people showed me. They may not even remember me bc my experience there was so brief. But their impact lasted forever. The way they fought for me. Worked on me, even in ways that made me uncomfortable. And the way they believed in me. That small period of time I spent there showed me I could do more than I thought. And it weighed on me.
I remember this lady grabbing me and telling me ,”the devil is a liar, and he wants you when
you are weak!”
And that stuck with me. During my addiction I had felt so chronically alone. Maybe I didn’t complete the program as I should, but that doesn’t mean yall shouldn’t!!! Keep going. Stick with it. These people will change your whole life.
Even I got off of hard drugs because of their impact. So please, do better than even me, and give them a chance. Hell, do the full 90 days as they have all the tools. I wish I would’ve. But I’m still grateful because even their comfort, and love they showed me in my darkest time stuck with me until this very day.

POST PRIOR TO THE UPDATE BELOW:
I sadly didn’t complete my treatment, not even by a little. I cowered down on day three. But these people really care. They try their best to keep you there. They care for you. And by you I mean YOU as an individual. I wish I would’ve been stronger than my vices. But to anyone looking to give treatment a plan. Please do not overlook this blessing. Some of the most patient, compassionate human beings I’ve ever met. They meet you with a love I honestly haven’t seen since I’d initially battled my addiction. Please give them a chance, and be stronger than I was. They are such lovely human beings not a single one showing any hint of judgement. Sweet people all around

I always get good care at the Biloxi VA. Seems every specialty clinic I’ve ever had to see they have treated me professionally and timely. Only gripe is with the primary care clinic (purple team). At my last two annual wellness checkups, wait was excessive!!

I called 4 help with alcohol and I got a wonderful lady name Lana in support center. She gave some number, to try to help, but 2 of the. Numbers where not working. And the therapist, Marquita is absolutely irreplaceable. I wish I could have put them in my pocket and taken them home. They love you and talk to you like family. I went in not wanting to be there AT ALL, by my 2nd/3rd day, I was SO THANKFUL. They gave me so many tools to help cope and I will forever be thankful. I will always remember my nurses and all of the beautiful ladies that were there with me. I went into Parkwood with the hopes that I'd get better and I absolutely did. The staff was amazing, very caring people. Empathetic to your struggles, kind to those like myself who were struggling. I loved the groups, the activities, and the schedule we had set for us. I was originally in the East wing, but was transferred to Ivy Trails. I'd like to name staff members Natalie, Marquita, and Rachel by name; some of the sweetest women you could ever meet. I'm so grateful to God for Parkwood, but especially Ivy Trails. I was so lonely and I'm so thankful for the women I met in this facility; they had been through so much and everyone I was around in Ivy was so understanding. Genuinely, a wonderful place with people with hearts of gold.

Amazing staff! I cant say enough great things about the methodist's staff! Ive been helping my brother in law through a traumatizing illness. Ultimately ending in an above the knee amputation and the death of my sister. The staff has been amazing! My only complaint is their signage. If you are visiting the facility in Flowwood, do yourself a favor....CALL and ask for directions! Its a large facility with multiple buildings and entrances. The signage needs an improvement!

I've been going to the New Seasons Clinic for a couple of years now. Maybe I could have quit fent without this place. The methadone is like a crutch for me. Some people need crutches to gain the ability to walk again. Addiction is my broken leg. I recommend this place for anyone trying to get on the road to recovery and just can't seem to get it. If you've been trying to get sober and can't do it alone, this might be your magic carpet ride. Put some importance in your recovery. Make it time bound, Set your goals, Change your direction, Get your life back, remember that you do matter and give life another chance at new season treatment center.
