This place saved my life! It’s beautiful location and therapeutic atmosphere is magical and the staff there is so special. They make you feel loved and deeply care about every person there. I felt like I was on vacation while I was healing and learning so much about myself. They allow you to be human and not feel like you are a patient and that speaks volumes. I would like to share as a parent who had a family member in treatment at Defining Wellness. My son was very well cared for here and I highly recommend this facility. Addiction affects the entire family, and, thanks to the amazing staff at DW, we also began to heal as a family. I am impressed with every aspect of this program. Victoria and Jenna will always be remembered with such gratitude for their excellence at every turn. This is the best experience my family has had with a treatment facility of this type. We didn’t know what to do when we realized our teen needed help. It’s not an easy decision to send your child to a residential treatment program and there aren’t many to choose from. I will say that sending our teen to Stonewater has been one of the best parenting decisions we have ever made. From our first phone call to admissions and to the last day of treatment, I have nothing but good things to say about the people who work there. They really care about helping these kids get their lives back on track. Trust the process and know that your child is in a great place with awesome people. Our teen just came home and he is better than I could’ve imagined. He is happy, healthy, and sober with goals and hope for his future. Thank you for saving our child and our family.

Although my son was unable to attend Stonewater because our health insurance company refused to work with us, Bridget and Kyle went above and beyond to connect us with a facility that was “in-network”, closer to home, and will provide a comparable level of care. While I’m disappointed that my son could not attend Stonewater, I will be forever grateful for the time, energy, and care they afforded us in making sure that our son received the quality care he so desperately needs! Stonewater truly cares about the boys and families who participate in their recovery program. Dropping our son off, sight unseen, was the hardest thing to do in a dark time, but Stonewater staff supported us every step of the way and put our fears at ease. Communication was prompt, caring and informative, as we navigated residential treatment center operations. What appealed to me when making a decision was first- that it was family owned and operated by those in recovery or affected by addiction and or mental health needs, second- there are a max of 14 adolescent males at a time, third- it has a program ending duration of 90 days, fourth- it’s on 65 beautiful acres, fifth- staff were interested in my son’s specific needs and if he was a good fit, sixth- Stonewater’s emphasis on family participation is key throughout the entire process of healing and seventh- guidance for families to research and develop after care plans from the start to have a plan in place upon release. My son feels it’s one of the best facilities in the country, he’s not felt this healthy in years and says it changed his life. To hear his testimony speaks volumes to the quality of care Stonewater provides.

From the very first phone call through every group session and one-on-one meeting, the staff treated me like a person, not a case number. The SASSI-4 style assessment really got to the heart of my needs, and the team used that insight to craft a recovery plan tailored just for me. The weekly IOP groups were welcoming and focused. What sets them apart is the holistic follow-through. Between EMDR trauma work, art therapy, and flexible aftercare groups, I never felt left to navigate sobriety alone. They taught me practical tools for relapse prevention, helped me rebuild trust in myself, and cheered every small victory along the way. If you’re ready for a compassionate, evidence-based program that actually adapts to your story, A Bridge to Recovery is it. Their team doesn’t just help you get sober—they help you rediscover who you want to be.

Bridge to Recovery saved my life. The therapists are the best I have ever had—truly the best in the business. They are compassionate, incredibly knowledgeable, and committed to helping their clients grow in every aspect of life. They genuinely want what’s best for their clients, and it shows through the high level of care they provide. I gained the life skills and emotional regulation I needed to succeed, along with the tools to begin a new, happy, sober life. If you are considering treatment options for yourself or a family member, I cannot recommend Bridge to Recovery highly enough.

The counselors here are truly fantastic. It is clearly apparent that they truly care about their patients and only have their patients' best interests at heart. I can't say enough about how much they have helped me!

I am changing a review I made previously because of a recent experience Tl;dr this is better than last time I was there. Pine Grove is a short term facility. Their aim is to diagnose and treat you in a short window of time , often 3 to 5 days. I want everyone who stumbles on this review to realize this. The staff are not monsters like some will make you believe. They have rules and are often overworked. Some have these dreaded or guarded expressions. But If you are on the open unit in the adult PICU, look across their station at the closed side and you immediately will get the picture. Thats their lives, day to day, dealing with angry and confused people suffering from psychosis. They are not ignoring you. They are busy and are short staffed. Even with the absolute grumpiest of them, you say the right thing- you will get a smile or a laugh. Some come in there with paranoid thoughts and think the staff is gunna mess them up with medication or that the staff absolutely does not care about your existence. Realize this: this isnt the Beau Rivage you are staying at, this is the nut house. Someone would get onto me for saying that, but thats the truth. We all need help sometimes and I am of the mindset that we can all show a little humility to that fact. So these are my criticisms. There are some quality of life issues with amenities on the open unit. For what you are being billed, some small things like sound proofing would go a long way. Yes the nurses should be vigilant with patients but even then, the staff could be more coordinated. My biggest gripe is a recent descision to check up on patients every 15 minutes after they go to bed. Doors opening and closing and people coming into my room at night is a trigger for me. It caused me to get little sleep and I would have nightmares. One night I even acidentally screamed out "GD it." I am a pretty pacifist person but that is over the line. Whom ever made this descision, you cannot do that to people. You have cameras in our rooms, you have the ability to watch us and keep us safe from our worst enemy, ourselves. You need to respect peoples privacy just a small amount. Even people there that need to be monitored. Even incidents, like the one that happened when I was there last (people gossip, it was stopped fyi), can be prevented if your staff are better supported with numbers. I dont know the finances of the place but I infer that you can add a little more in terms of the night shift. You dont need more doctors or nurses, just eyes to watch out. That brings me to my final criticism: your staff NEEDS more support. Even the day shift can be short staffed. That will not be fixed by a change in policy or an hour of quiet time. I am not a doctor but as a patient, I believe peoples faith in mental health in this state would change if the staff's hands were more free. ESPECIALLY the pharmacy. I am not stating this out of general malice, I want to point that out. I love the staff here and they helped me through probably the worst time in my life. They work with us at our absolute worst, and I am grateful for that. Pine Grove is the only place in Mississippi that is worth going to, all the others SUCK. I just want mental health treatment in this state to improve and I really hope my words dont fall on deaf ears with this review. Thank you for your time.

The Extra Mile is an extremely special place. The team is incredible and is supportive and works cohesively to provide care to every individual. They foster a sense of community and truly impact the lives of individuals on a personal level. I know some of the most amazing individuals both clients and staff alike who I have worked alongside through my journey at the mile and can say that each continue to impact my life on a daily basis in the most incredible ways. There’s a balance between structure and reflection to help individuals learn to have fun while being sober (this can be a scary and foreign thing to many in early recovery) while assisting in self-reflection and growth helping individuals connect through a combination of different treatment modalities tailoring to different learning styles too while also connecting to community, demonstrating what it means to have a support group, and offering time for exploration of self. Extra Mile Recovery is truly a special place. 💪🥰❤️

Such a beautiful campus with very genuine and caring staff who want to help you succeed and get better. I would highly recommend to anyone considering getting help for drug or alcohol addiction.
