My time at St. Joes was nothing short of miraculous. I was broken, the guilt and shame has consumed me and my addiction left me feeling like I’d lost everything again. The staff at St. Joes literally nursed me back to health the first 2 days and then I was strong enough to go to group and take advantage of the many things St. Joes had to offer. I learned to share again, articulate my feelings and not just bottle everything up. The one-on-one time was my favorite. Their counselors are amazing people. They don’t get nearly the credit they deserve. I’m a believer in sharing to get free from stress and anxiety. These people did something incredible…….they listened! They didn’t rush in and try to “fix me”. They let me talk it out and figure out things on my own and add creative insight while challenging my thinking and problem solving. They also weren’t afraid to confront me. That’s lost in today’s world. The techs. That’s a whole other level. The techs were wonderful, shout out to Dave! I loved that dude. He shot from the hip and always gave it to ya straight, no chaser (forgive the play on words) I still keep in touch with him now. Truth be told I would highly recommend St. Joes to any and everyone struggling with mental health, addiction and/or alcoholism issues. God bless.

Staff is helpful and facility is clean. They offer 2 maintence programs for opiate addiction. Methadone and Suboxone. They take most insurance or you can pay cash. The methadone program cost roughly $125 per week. However they will work with cash paying patients that need some type of payment arrangement. If you need help with your addiction and don't feel that you're ready to quit cold turkey on your own Discovery is a positive alternative.

I was in the program back in 2000 did my 28 days relapse after I was home for few weeks and took awhile but finally pulled myself together and been clean of anything for 11 years now and I don't have cravings or anything if I see it I turn and walk the other way ,so anyways this program was what gave me the tools to do it when I was ready on my own not cause a probation officer told me i had too I enjoyed my time here and the staff and patients were the best

In my opinion the best rehab in Pennsylvania. Very polite & honest staff who neither sugarcoat the truth -- does the opposite of helping --& does not judge the patients. All fair treatment & the patients rarely do not enjoy their time, seen many friendships develop & the staff are skilled in their field. It is in a very rural area so no Wifi but you can make landline phone calls. Expect many birds lol. All in all I recommend to anyone to grow & be inspired

Thank you Counsilor Bob & Counsilor Paige!! They were absolutely phenomenal with my loved one. My loved one has some concerning mental health diagnoses, but those two counsilors made their rehab stay the best possible. I truly have hope in their recovery this time. They have been to multiple rehabs previously and I have never seen them this good mentally (drug and mental health wise). Thank you so much!! I'll be honest, I have read some of the reviews and got really concerned prior to them coming, but I couldn't be more thankful for the counsilors they had throughout their stay.

Was there for 4 months in 2019. That staff were great. Had a great therapist and my case worker was amazing. Had 2 relapses since I left but pyramid was my cornerstone to my recovery. Just celebrated 20months and imforever grateful.

I attended this facility and was very appreciative of the love and care I received. Was it all good no but that was of my own doings. I want to give a special nurse named Karen the most love of all. This lady is absolutely amazing,loving, caring soul. If anyone is ever blessed enough to be in her presence the they will understand she truly is a gift to be around. I say thanks to all the staff and volunteers for the assistance I received.

The staff are compassionate, knowledgeable, respectful, non judgmental & easy to open up to. You’ll feel warmly welcomed even as you walk into the front door. My guard was definitely up when I began at the clinic. I’ve been there for several years & don’t know where my life would be without the clinic & staff members I’ve grown to know & trust. I highly recommend this facility no matter where you are in the hopes of long term recovery. Recovery is a lot of work but oh so worth its success! I give praise where praise is due & this clinic deserves it in so many ways!

I love the staff! They put their lives on the line to make sure they are open for us. They are so dedicated and kind. The dosing nurse's are very patient and definitely put up with so much from some of the people who should be just thankful for the opportunity to be here. I'm so grateful for them and I'll always recommend that people who are looking for a new start in life and a way out of their addiction. You Should come here! I was there years ago. A great place to be when you want help with your addiction. But you have to want to be clean and or sober or it won't work no matter where you go. But this place is the best rehab I was ever at and I was at 6 different ones great food too. Home-cooked meals. I highly recommend this place.

Van Zandt VAMC is simply the best medical care for veterans: primary care intake was very thorough and helped me get specialist appointments in pain management, audiology, podiatry, physical therapy and pharmacy. RISE Counseling is fantastic! New in town and coming from a place where most of the options for counseling are at the hospital which is cold and clinical or the nearby health department, pretty much the same, I really appreciate the atmosphere.The waiting room is so relaxing! Honestly, in the beginning was nerve wracking. But long term, Pyrimid and my team for MAT and MH have been amazing to me. I know it was a struggle at first due to my high anxiety with new things. But they went beyond to help me. It all started with Tracy. And now I have a wonderful nurse Bre, along with my two counselors Shayla and Jess. I get some people have bad experiences, but you do what you can to get clean and get ahead of it and if you start out negative, it's definitely going to be rough. But I never really had a bad experience, all mine have been great.

I Have been a patient at three previous clinics, the VA hosp in Pittsburgh, pyramid in altoona, and RHJ in Vandergrift, this is by far the place that has had the most heart. My experience with 3 counselors over 3 years was wonderful. It has been a much more personal experience, a give and take that was different from past places. With 2 of them they had been previous addicts, but all have had wisdom and encouragement. At other places it was just be me telling my life story and them bieng very gaurded about any personal details which made it less likely for me to be totally honest and not make progress in the counseling sessions. . The nurses are very kindly people as well and, unlike other clincs will accommodate me as a 40 year old man they will find another man to supervise the urinalysis instead of making me pee with a beautiful young nurse standing next to me, which I feel is inappropriate. I can say everyone is very friendly since a surly old bird of a nurse left 2 yrs ago. Maybe I just have an exceptionally good attitude or drank too much of the syzurp, but I feel if you put forth any effort in your recovery, these people will more than meet you halfway. You can improve yourself, pursue your dreams and goals or dream life away, at the Jtwn methadone clinic, you decide. everydays a blast! So come join the party today!

This VA outreach place did such an excellent job on the recent Covid shots. I got my first a few Saturdays ago then got my second on the 13th of March. They could not have been better in any way. Ok so I can't speak on what other people had to deal with while being here but honestly I loved it. They tried so hard to help me. I went between the years of 2010 and 2013. I recall a lot of the staff and my favorites mostly nicknames were "B-new" and Mr. Kulp. I was one of the 100s of troubled children here and really loved the horse barn. I hope the staff I speak of are still here doing good work. I'm sorry so many of you had bad experiences. I had fond memories of the RTF.

I was here in the 90s. I was a resident when it was Lutherans for the most part I had a good experience but I was bipolar I got into fights alot. I was a very angry child. I had my moments I put the staff through a lot? I still remember the staff I had I was up there earlier today because my dad lives in the retirement community right before it so much has changed over the years. It looks completely different from when it did in the 90s the retirement community was not there then. The horse barn is still there. Most the cottages are gone I was in Riber and white cottage I went to school on campus only for a year and they let me go to zilenople high school cause I earned it I was not an easy child to deal with. I went there When I was 12 and was there till I aged out of the system
