Brad Carter Wow is My first response ! Defeated mentally, emotionally, & Spiritually. Fear & unknown was a big factor at first. But about 7 Days into the program, It hits. We had an Art class that would change my life! Total Honesty! Was able to take my mask off and see clearly. The Councilors were amazing & Loving But would really challenge me to dig deeper. It took about 18 Hrs before i finally surrendered to My Higher power and to self!! Changing Tides & the Community around us were so loving , supportive and became family to me. I know for a fact that its the Best thing ive ever done. Know that it Changed with Surrender and the Changing Tides Group that has Impacted my family and myself. great place. The serenity of the beach, Reflecting with self was a big part of my recovery. The cook out on Sundays with peers that became family and friends. I'm not saying it is easy at all. Because its a brokenness that i created. the CT Team helped me to get the tool Box i needed and need in my daily walk. to be honest i don't really have the words to really explain what Changing Tided Is & Did for me! Also the community of people and meetings i was Blessed to be a part of. So if anyone is looking to surrender a battle. This is the Army i needed beside me. Thank You to the Changing Tides Facility, & everyone involved on this new life & journey. It Takes one step, one moment,& one day at a time. Have a Blessed day sincerely Brad

The staff treated everyone with care, compassion, and support. They are very knowledgeable, not only in sobriety, but in recovery and staying recovered. They analyzed everything from adolescence to current age and helped me understand and identify what kept me sick. They also helped me understand addiction and the importance of a specific discharge plan to support long term recovery. This experience far exceeded my expectations. I’m forever thankful for Changing Tides.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

I truly believe this place is one of a kind. Especially for people like myself who had never been to treatment before. The level of patience, love, and care from the staff not only allowed me to feel comfortable quickly, but to actually feel at home. By the end of treatment you will probably want to just move in permanently. I feel very prepared to continue my recovery as I return to the “real world” and that’s all thanks to the tools I have been taught at Changing Tides. They genuinely want you to succeed here and will go to any lengths to help you develop a strong foundation for recovery and life in general. I am forever grateful for this place and the staff, as well as everyone I met during my time at Changing Tides.
