We only played golf but it was a fantastic track. Always a bit windy when you’re playing on the Currituck Sound side of things. Not a long course but a very thoughtfully designed layout. Greens were in great condition. The bar at the turn was efficient and got us moving quickly to the back nine. Marshall’s were out ensuring pace of play. We got around as a three some in just over four hours. Could have been a bit longer but there was a foursome playing the front only that was kinda slow. We really enjoyed ourselves and will be back to play it again. I was surprised that there was no GPS guided/restricted carts. But truly not a big deal.

The intensive outpatient groups as well as one-on-one counseling here have changed my life. I think it's important to let the people offering free help know that they've helped. Jessica Z. Is an amazing counselor. I just want everyone to know how much they helped with my substance abuse and mental health problems. The Port Health Nags Head has been a blessing for many.. there is always bad with the good, but in general they have helped many..including myself, it's not only a place for recovery, or medications, but there is some great counselors that I can attest have helped me work thru many issues over the years, and they are not just there if you have a mental issue, or are in to help a drug addiction..but they also offer great groups that can help women (and men)in toxic relationships, help for using life skills in situations that you cannot do alone, there their for grief counseling.. the groups are for those who sign up weekly and if needed one on one counseling sessions are available.. its not always been easy, and if your new and the 1st experience isn't what you like, remember that's why there is more than 1 person to help you, everyone has different personalities so don't give up or be angry, they also want to help you find the right person that you will get the best experience and help from... I appreciate the front office staff.. Mrs Norma, and others are friendly and helpful..the Dr is wonderful and will do his best if you do need medication to get you on the correct ones to help your condition and help you if you are able to get off as well.. the entire staff have been a blessing for me.. thru the good and bad times.. I recommend you call 1st, for if new you will need to do a intake which is very thorough. I also want to point out they are Covid careful and it's always clean and sanitized as a immune compromised patient I appreciate that. Thanks to all I've known who have helped me over the years. Your top stars to me.

We had an Art class that would change my life! Total Honesty! Was able to take my mask off and see clearly. The Councilors were amazing & Loving But would really challenge me to dig deeper. It took about 18 Hrs before i finally surrendered to My Higher power and to self!! Changing Tides & the Community around us were so loving , supportive and became family to me. I know for a fact that its the Best thing ive ever done. Know that it Changed with Surrender and the Changing Tides Group that has Impacted my family and myself. great place. The serenity of the beach, Reflecting with self was a big part of my recovery. The cook out on Sundays with peers that became family and friends. I'm not saying it is easy at all. Because its a brokenness that i created. the CT Team helped me to get the tool Box i needed and need in my daily walk. to be honest i don't really have the words to really explain what Changing Tided Is & Did for me! Also the community of people and meetings i was Blessed to be a part of. So if anyone is looking to surrender a battle. This is the Army i needed beside me. Changing Tides showed me how to believe in myself again.Spiritual and Mentally they gave me the pieces to put the puzzle(Me) back together, by living a sober healthy and fun life. You can truly function in society with out substances. Even though the road can still be difficult but working the 12 steps is beneficial. Meditation, Yoga, Walking, Excercing etc. The Clinical team works consistently on putting a plan together that suits your needs. Dr.Angel Miller and Cecil Meadows, has worked overtime on my behalf. The staff treated everyone with care, compassion, and support. They are very knowledgeable, not only in sobriety, but in recovery and staying recovered. They analyzed everything from adolescence to current age and helped me understand and identify what kept me sick. They also helped me understand addiction and the importance of a specific discharge plan to support long term recovery. This experience far exceeded my expectations. I just recently transferred to Suffolk Crossroads from Petersburg Crossroads and so far its been great. The staff at Suffolk is just as nice as the staff was in Petersburg. I would most definitely recommend Suffolk or Petersburg Crossroads to anyone looking to get help with their drug addiction. Hopefully your recovery will go as good as mine has or even better. As someone who was there for 3 days i thought it was amazing and the staff really do care and are really nice. I thought the food was pretty good for what it was and i did learn things to help me in the future. The other patients there are very very friendly and helpful. Being able to talk to others that are going through the same has very much helped my mental health. The only bad thing was that the first day and a half i got placed in a unit with people that needed more help and i was on the quieter side. Other than that it was great

I graduated from this six-month program in November 2024. I have been clean since the day I was admitted on May 14, 2024. I wanted to share my experience because this place genuinely saved my life. It is a very restrictive program, and it can be frustrating and uncomfortable at times. However, the staff are transparent about the process from the beginning, so you know exactly what you're signing up for. While I was there, I honestly resented many aspects of the program. Looking back, though, I can see that it gave me the structure and accountability I needed. If you genuinely want to change your life, this program can absolutely help you. I had previously been through two other rehabilitation programs before coming to the ARC, and this is the longest I have ever stayed clean. I also want to mention something that may be helpful to others. I do not believe in God, and I was completely open about that throughout my time in the program. While I was required to participate in the religious aspects of the program, such as church services and Bible study, I was always treated with respect by both the staff and the other participants. No one ever tried to force me to believe or treated me differently because of my views. I'm grateful for my experience here. Today I'm doing better than I ever have, and I genuinely believe this program played a major role in helping me rebuild my life.

There should be absolutely nothing bad to say about this program. They helped me tremendously and they do it without making you pay. It's a great program. The staff Brandon, Jay, Mrs Green, Capt Jennifer, Capt Damon, annso many more are the BEST!! I can't think of a better Christian program to go to or to recommend!!

I’ve been a patient at Affinity Health Center in Norfolk, and I can’t say enough good things about the staff and the care I’ve received there. From the counselors to the nurses and administrative staff, everyone has treated me with kindness, respect, and genuine compassion. One thing that stands out is that they truly put patient care first. Recovery isn’t a one-size-fits-all process, and the staff understands that. They take the time to listen, work with patients individually, and help find solutions when life circumstances make things difficult. Rather than treating patients like a number, they treat them like people. I’ve also appreciated how accommodating and understanding they are. When you’ve demonstrated responsibility and commitment to your recovery, they recognize that and are willing to trust you. That level of respect and flexibility can make a huge difference for people trying to rebuild their lives.
