About Journey Healthcare (Suboxone and Vivitrol)

Journey Healthcare can be found on Parish Street in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They provide behavioral health services to those who have been diagnosed with substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health issues who are seeking addiction treatment.

They offer various levels of medication assisted treatment and unique therapies to address mental health conditions and disorders. I like that they focus on utilizing Spravato therapy as a form of treatment for depression.

Spravato to Treat Treatment Resistant Depression

Spravato is a psychedelic type of medication delivered as a nasal spray that is often used in combination with antidepressant medications. Studies have found that depression conditions can improve exponentially with the use of Spravato and clients can see results much faster, sometimes within a few weeks, while undergoing the treatment.

MAT Treatment for Alcohol and Opiate Use Disorders

Addiction treatment involves one on one counseling and MAT treatment services for those struggling with opioid or alcohol addiction. They offer both Vivitrol and Naltrexone to address conditions with regular monitoring to ensure you are seeing positive results from your treatment.

I find it encouraging to learn that they also offer integrative psychiatry services at their locations in Pittsburgh and Murrysville, PA, which provide unique approaches to treating mental health conditions. They focus on addressing those who have been diagnosed with depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, depression and treatment resistant depression, OCD and PTSD.

Not a terrible experience. Not bad if you just want to be in and out without all the fake therapy to get some goofy accreditation and more government money. You just pay, some guy gets richer, and you get your meds, easy. They will do more therapy stuff if you asked for it though if thats your thing. However, I called the front desk today to let my doctor know im transferring somewhere else, as a courtesy so I didn't just dissappear. The receptionist answered I said hello, my name, and is my doctor available by chance? She says "wait, what, you mean to talk to, like speak to? 🤷‍♂️ No, no I was checking to see if she was in the building so I could send smoke signals to her from the parking lot. Said I could just leave a message, total silence. She ended up taking the message in the end....I think. Common Sense '2028🇺🇲

One of the worst places I’ve ever decided to go to. I have expressed for almost 2 months that I want to increase my medication and set up an appointment with my psychiatrist, they say they’ll get me on her schedule and nothing happens. I got a call from some very rude woman working at the Murrysville location a few days ago stating that my psychiatrist is currently leaving and they have no others that are currently accepting new patients. So what happens to the rest of this Doctors patients including myself? We’re just screwed and out of medications and a psychiatrist? Or do we just hope that maybe they’ll have an opening or new doctor that can put us on their schedule? By the looks of it we should all be hoping that our PCP’s will fill our meds until we can hopefully get into somewhere new in a timely manner. I’ve also expressed multiple times that I wanted to be setup with a therapist for in person and time just goes on and you don’t hear back. You have to call multiple times a day hoping they’ll answer or leave multiple voicemails for them to reach back out and say “well look into it and see who we can get you set up with” and you still hear NOTHING back after. The lack of communication and care that comes from these people is insane. No wonder they’ve lost multiple employees including Doctor’s within the last year. They need to shut down one of the Journey locations and just merge them. Management and owners don’t seem to care and really just want your money it seems like. Pretty sad when some of the staff even make comments on the entire place. Also if you ever go to Murrysville just be warned that Megan has a serious attitude problem.

My therapist is great. I actually love her! I try to pay everytime I'm there, but they won't let the girl at the front desk take payments. The billing department treats you like you're not even human. I was told I would get a bill, at the very least. Never anything. But then they call and let you know that you have an outstanding bill and that they NEED you to put a credit card on file. When I got frustrated, the lady literally threatened to suspend my services for "yelling." Ok. Good luck with this when the jumping off point is that you're dealing with people who have mental health issues. I can't just have you taking money from any of my cards all Hoi poloi. I pay from multiple sources, one of which is an HSA with certain amounts put on it throughout the year. Edit: I canceled my services today. This place takes advantage of some of the most vulnerable people in our society. I was here, because I chose to be, which a lot of the clients at Journey don't have that benefit. I feel sorry for those individuals that are stuck in a system that will continue to fail them. Edit August 18 -- it's been about 6 weeks since I canceled services. They continue to send threatening text messages about how I owe them like $400. I have yet to see an actual bill, and that don't have any option to pay online without giving your credit card number to some crazy lady who keeps calling my phone and putting my credit card on file. I tried to pay half of the amount even though I've never seen any actual bill, but when it turned out that this system is even worse than I realized, I decided not to. I need an actual bill (threateni g texts don't count) and a safe place to pay it. 🤷‍♀️
