I used their facility in Columbus, Ohio. Ii have 63 days today. The experience was more of wanting more of an education about addiction. The staff was awesome and I owe my sobriety to this organization and honestly probably my life. Ian building a solid support system and attending meetings and getting a sponsor! All of these need to be part of a success story of beating addiction weather it be alcohol or hard drugs! God Bless

I got to admit I definitely had pause about coming to this facility because of all the negative reviews. And not knowing what to expect considering that I have never been to rehab or any type of detox program. Im thankful that I made my own decision and ignored all them negative reviews based on the fact that I really wanted the help. It was hard the first couple days, but the staff and other patients kept on pushing me giving me encouragement. I have no favorite nurse they were all great ,but I have to give a shoutout to the nurse Aaron. She was so nurturing, caring and super helpful made me feel like I was in good hands seemed like she genuinely cared during my detox process. (Which was so hard for me) I’m blessed to say I successfully completed the program. It was definitely an experience, to say the least!! but I stuck it out!! And I also met some coo people there. So thank you to you all, each and everyone of you all ( staff ) and

My boyfriend (he is leaving a great review also) and I have been a client at BH a little over a year and we both think the entire staff is wonderful!!! They always treat us with kindness, respect and compassion. I have been to 2 other facilities in Laurel & Cherry Hill and BH is by far a much better Facility. Each and every staff member has greeted me with a smile and asked how I was doing EVERY time and I consider them all to be more than just "staff". My Counselor Megan is phenomenal, she answers every phone call or text message and really listens to what I have to say and sometimes I'm sure I ramble, lol. I can talk to her about anything and her advice has helped me many, many times. I consider her more than my counselor she's my friend. I have NEVER had a false positive, EVER. I think you have to be honest with yourself and not blame BH, that's a part of recovery, personal responsibility. BH's staff members are a big part of the reason I am currently at the highest Level, Stage 4, and I am over 6 months clean!!! I started therapy at a time when I was overwhelmed with anxiety, stress, and constant overthinking. I am so grateful I took that step because working with Christian has been life changing. He patient and he genuinely listens. Each session made me feel seen and supported, and gave me the tools to navigate difficult moments with more clarity and peace.
The entire team here is wonderful. The receptionists are always friendly and welcoming. I actually looked forward to seeing them. I still remember my very first appointment, it was in the evening and one of the ladies walked me out and waited to make sure I got safely into my car. That simple gesture meant a lot. Every visit felt peaceful and safe, and I always felt cared for.
I’m walking away with more confidence and resilience, and I’ll always be grateful for this experience.

I see Kim Millhimes on George street. I have made incredible progress in identifying and maintaining healthy boundaries with people I’m close with. I have finally been able to identify my own, individual values and live by them! This has lead to huge changes in the way I live my life. In the past, I really didn’t know who I was because I was always focused on other people’s emotions and values to the detriment of myself. With each session, I grow in a positive direction! I also enjoy the interaction with Cindy who works the front desk. Cindy is super professional along with being kind and making me laugh at times. I feel very well cared for here. I feel emotionally and psychologically safe here.

I felt compelled to write this review because of the wonderful care my 88 years old father has received. The respect, kindness and concern displayed by every one of the Doctors, nurses and personnel we have encountered is absolutely amazing. While they are too numerous to mention, I particularly wanted to give special gratitude to our home care nurse, Vinnie…my father just adores her and she is amazing. I also wanted to express my appreciation to Lorett, who tended to my father’s wounds yesterday. Lorett was incredible and so kind. Likewise were the doctor, Rachel and the staff in the emergency area.
In closing, I want to state that this VA hospital and all associated medical providers and staff should be recognized for its/their high degree of standard, but more importantly for the compassion and respect displayed to our Veterans. Thank you and happy holidays.

Today I helped a Vietnam era veteran. Remember as a veteran sometimes we struggle. When you see a service person in need of help, do what the Lord installed in your heart love of one another.
The gentleman was in need. I would encourage anyone whether you're a veteran or not. Help the elderly.
My suggestion would be to take an index card and put the person's first name only, last four if you're a veteran and POC. Place this in a plastic bag and safety pin it to the person in some form or fashion.
This would eliminate hours of wasted time helping people to connect with loved ones.
Let them know the Lord brought you to them out of love because he first loved us.
One other advice if you're helping someone and you have to walk away give them something of yours to assure them you will return. A small act of kindness goes a long way.
The Lord sees all and never forgets. Lose the attitude of someone not being your race. When you served you should NEVER see race. Remember that.
You don't know who may be near you to save your life. We leave no one behind. Amen UPDATE October 20, 2025*** Thank you so much for fitting me in your schedule with Radiology. As a service-connected disabled veteran that has been in the VA system 1994, I love being able to receive my primary care closer to home. For years I went to the Lebanon VAMC for ALL my healthcare needs and the drive alone made it inconvenient. Let alone the constant construction and parking lot mess. The care at Lebanon VAMC is wonderful but the facility is big and busy so the much closer Lancaster VA at Willow Street is a godsend for me. The front desk, lab, nurses and my PCP are incredible. Very clean office, very quiet peaceful office and generally there is plenty of nearby parking, unlike Lebanon VAMC.

CAM has by far been the best program I’ve been on. I was at another program (Cherryhill) for years & that place Hod change your whole energy. I would go in happy, come out in a horrible mood! There were a few good people there like Mrs. Hope & Nurse Michelle & a few good counselors, but at CAM, everyone has been amazing! From the beautiful woman at the front to the nurses & counselors, I am grateful for each one of them. I’ve been clean for 14 years & continue to be clean because of CAM.

I went to The Retreat at Sheppard Pratt experiencing severe depression, anxiety and OCD. I'd been to other facilities and had to wait in line for up to an hour or more for meds that were dolled out without any consideration for the patient. I also had psychiatrist's who would schedule virtually once a week. This was NOT the case at The Retreat. The staff there were awesome! Absolutely ALL of the staff there, especially the doctors and nursing staff, were extremely attentive and knowledgeable. It HONESTLY felt like they cared.
I literally cannot say enough great things about the OCD team, led by Jon Hershfield. They were tremendous! I met with Jon or one of his staff nearly every day I was there. Absolute pros! Thank you, guys!

I spent 4 weeks at the Retreat at Sheppard Pratt last summer. I came in with horrible panic attacks and anxiety, especially around being in cars and transportation. When I arrived, I literally couldn’t be in a car for more than 10 minutes without the help of medication.
I was ultimately diagnosed with OCD and very very lucky to be treated by Jon Hershfield and his team including Melissa Mondich. I started exposure therapy the 2nd week. My exposures were around the triggers to my panic attacks like motion sickness. We drove in circles in the car with the music on loud, and the heat up way too high, while I read from my phone. At first I was exhausted and it was tough but it is pretty amazing how quickly this produced results and I saw myself growing stronger. I had so much support and encouragement by the staff and my peers in the program. This program was very well rounded. I also had yoga sessions with Leonora, Acupuncture with Trina, and training with Terry, all of which I miss very very much.
I went into the program being scared about driving 10 minutes away to a target and left the program and went to Greece to enjoy my regularly scheduled summer vacation and did not need any anxiety medication at all. I really can not recommend this experience enough. Also a massive thank you to Dr. Amara, my psychiatrist who oversaw my whole treatment and to the nursing staff especially Susan, Kate, and Talila!

Now that I've been going to this particular location for going on 6 years... (Will be 6 years this November 2O25)... I've had time to process a whole lot. The counselors are very caring. They're really helpful and kind. They want to see you do well. The nurses are super friendly. So are the doctors. As far as wait times, well, TBH, that all depends on what time you get there during the morning. Like me for example. I go daily now and I try to go before 6am, if I get there before 6am, and I don't have a UA, I'm usually in and out in about 5-10 minutes. In my opinion, this is one of the better clinics in the Hagerstown area. They all want to see you do good and stay clean and sober for the rest of your life. Not saying you'll have to be here that long, but, just enough to get stable to where you feel safe and comfortable with yourself. I also wanted to say that I've had about 4 or 5 counselors since I've been going there and IDK why the counselors keep leaving or getting let go. The one I have now, she seems pretty nice. Also, FYI: As of June 1st 2024, their hours will be changing. The cutoff time for dosing will now be 12 Noon, instead of 1pm. I think it's because of the lack of counselors and nursing staff. It would normally be a 5/5, but things have REALLY changed. Physicals every 3 months, I don't understand why...and they have a HUGE turnover of nurses and counselors. I'm telling y'all what, if Mary goes, idk how much longer everyone will stay. Mary is the best!

Yes I’ll agree this treatment center has been a very very positive experience. Especially those who have moved on to another job. Am sure working here could be a challenging experience as well. Even though the few counselors I have had were worth coming to this center and am grateful for there stall. I hope going forward I’ll experience the same. Thank you.

There are a few downfalls though..
1. is the intake process..
Which takes 3-5 hours!!! & it will seem like it's taking forever & a year lol 😆 but that is the worst part & once you get through that the hardest part is over!!!
I was hoping & praying so hard that the methadone was going to help me & I am beyond thankful that it did & it still does!🙏🏻
I dont think about a pill, i dont wish for a pill, i dont want a pill & i dont NEED a pill!!!💪
2. All the nurses go on break all at once except for 1 so there is only 1 window open for you to dose at so you have to be there before 10:30 or 11am if you want to get in and out quickly. I always made sure i got there at 8am because it wasn't busy at that time.
3.They don't take my insurance which is,
(Wv medicaid) and that's why I had to be transferred somewhere else. But,
I live in Wv anyway so I don't have to travel as far now.
4. If they did an update and remodeling to make it feel warm, cozy and welcoming✨️
It would make people feel a whole lot more comfortable when you walk in..
But, on a great note,

They do know how to communicate with one another which is a big plus for me!
