Wanted to start off by saying ATOM! was a very huge part of my road to recovery. They helped me so many ways show me love, Supported me even when I was being an asshole. I completed this program three times Because the program works, I just wasn’t ready and still did what I wanted to do. The things that they taught me the love they showed me in the support that I got made me realize that people do care that I am not alone. My counselor did an amazing job. The director did an amazing job. The groups were amazing. The houses were amazing. The areas were amazing the activities we did were very helpful. It taught me a lot and here. I am now four years later still clean and I work here now I must say I honestly do understand that life is not perfect. A lot of people has to grasp the fact that no program is perfect. They will give you the tools, but you have to put in your own footwork. Nobody should fight for your life as hard as you and I fought for mine so I wanna see. I started going here when they originally opened. In fact I started the second day they opened. I really like this place. The owners (Jason & MOSHA) really care and do whatever they can to help you better yourself and become successful. They have went above and beyond my expectations. After about 9 years I transferred to another location of theirs. At that location I received the same level of treatment. I can t recommend this place enough !!!

So I noticed that the person I take is actually getting quality counseling!I appreciate that and think they're doing a great job with them.I've had my issues with BD and it may be more personal because I don't go there but I take care of the person who I take there. So I have to wait when they have to wait, go when they have to go.but so far this summer, they're doing a great job helping this person get OFF the medication. (they've been on it for 20 some years. it's time. I do not recommend anybody to do this for a while... It takes a year to ween off)I also went to school to be a substance abuse counselor and was hit with health issues so I never was able to do the last part which was intern.So I know what should and shouldn't be happening.they are very careful with the elderly as far as take homes. I personally think it should be on a person-to-person/behavioral basis. if the person has clean UAs... they should get as many take-homes as allotted.they see different.ok, We disagree on that so they are helping this person just get OFF the medication.

I went to The Retreat at Sheppard Pratt experiencing severe depression, anxiety and OCD. I'd been to other facilities and had to wait in line for up to an hour or more for meds that were dolled out without any consideration for the patient. I also had psychiatrist's who would schedule virtually once a week. This was NOT the case at The Retreat. The staff there were awesome! Absolutely ALL of the staff there, especially the doctors and nursing staff, were extremely attentive and knowledgeable. It HONESTLY felt like they cared.
I literally cannot say enough great things about the OCD team, led by Jon Hershfield. They were tremendous! I met with Jon or one of his staff nearly every day I was there. Absolute pros! Thank you, guys!
The Retreat is a clean, friendly, attentive and professional place to go if you are experiencing mental health problems. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!

I spent 4 weeks at the Retreat at Sheppard Pratt last summer. I came in with horrible panic attacks and anxiety, especially around being in cars and transportation. When I arrived, I literally couldn’t be in a car for more than 10 minutes without the help of medication.
I was ultimately diagnosed with OCD and very very lucky to be treated by Jon Hershfield and his team including Melissa Mondich. I started exposure therapy the 2nd week. My exposures were around the triggers to my panic attacks like motion sickness. We drove in circles in the car with the music on loud, and the heat up way too high, while I read from my phone. At first I was exhausted and it was tough but it is pretty amazing how quickly this produced results and I saw myself growing stronger. I had so much support and encouragement by the staff and my peers in the program. This program was very well rounded. I also had yoga sessions with Leonora, Acupuncture with Trina, and training with Terry, all of which I miss very very much.
I went into the program being scared about driving 10 minutes away to a target and left the program and went to Greece to enjoy my regularly scheduled summer vacation and did not need any anxiety medication at all. I really can not recommend this experience enough. Also a massive thank you to Dr. Amara, my psychiatrist who oversaw my whole treatment and to the nursing staff especially Susan, Kate, and Talila!

The 3.1 program is excellent. The house technicians are very friendly and helpful and the counselors are great at helping you identify and fix the problems you have with your addiction. I came here on 11/4/24 for treatment due to my substance and mental health. During my time here I have discovered alot about myself and the reason I was making unconscious decisions. The staff here has been very helpful and instrumental in my recovery. More especially Mr George, Mr Dooley, Mr Ronnie, Mr Joey, and Ms Vonda. The program is very hands on and a great resource for those willing to put in the work. It recently was a deciding factor on the judges decision on not incarcerating me. I’ve had nothing but a great experience they actually care. Tiffany and Megan the receptionists are the sweetest and have even offered for me to call and just talk, after hours. I love them. Dr. Seamen is a saint and deserves more than she’s recognized for. I’ve been treated with nothing but love and care and it’s super refreshing, Dr. S even referred me to a psychiatrist, Dr. Mary Beth and I’m sure it’ll be as good treatment as ever. It feels amazing longingly be heard/treated and not just pushed medicine.

CAM has by far been the best program I’ve been on. I was at another program (Cherryhill) for years & that place Hod change your whole energy. I would go in happy, come out in a horrible mood! There were a few good people there like Mrs. Hope & Nurse Michelle & a few good counselors, but at CAM, everyone has been amazing! From the beautiful woman at the front to the nurses & counselors, I am grateful for each one of them. I’ve been clean for 14 years & continue to be clean because of CAM.
