RCA Devon changed my life. The support I received here helped me build a foundation I didn’t think was possible. Going to RCA was the best decision I made. I am so grateful for this place. What makes this place so special is the people who work here. I see them show up everyday. They are selfless and continuously check up on you. Whether you are inpatient, or alumni, they are always there for you. It really is a beautiful thing. Listen, I am a total mess most of the time due to my catastrophizing things. I make everything start at worst case scenario hoping it doesn't stay there but unfortunately it sometimes does. Im not going to give you a play by play or some incredible testimony because my story is still going strong but I've come a very long way and I 💯 give my counselor, Susan, alot of credit for sticking by me even bk in the beginning when I would be nasty and childish towards her and ill never forget when she told me that she was just waiting for me to be ready. * full disclosure im a garbage head and at the time I needed rehab terribly. And she was so patient and calm n it drove me nuts. Until one day, I walked into her office and said im ready. And from that chair in her office I left for rehab right away thanks to a combined effort of the staff, Will a former employee but mainly through her approach over months. I've had several wonderful things happen since then but most importantly I finally won my 3 year battle with CPS and gained joint custody of my son back. Now, don't get it twisted, I am far from a shiney happy person now. I've got major struggles right now but ever since that day she can't get rid of me off her caseload. Mainly because secretly im her favorite.😄 but i won't let them switch me because Susan really does care about her clients and I am sure of it for many reasons. If Susan isn't you're counselor you're missing out. And because of her this center gets a 5 star 🌟 rating from me. Which, btw, NEVER happens.

I loved it. The clinical setting was perfect for me, it broke down the disease of addiction and also made me realize things about myself that I never knew. I couldn't be more grateful for all the kindness love and support that was given to me during my treatment. It wasn't easy, but I definitely put in the work and faced hard truths about myself. I learned that I had to become willing to be uncomfortable in order to heal. It takes becoming so uncomfortable with yourself, that you finally see your defects and become willing to change!! Your life is worth living, this blessed place loved me until I could love myself again!! I have ao many things I could say about Avenues, but most importantly, it will save your life, if you open your mind and heart to take suggestions. The staff is so kind and nurturing- they have become my safe family!! ❤️

I've been to better and been to worse. They provide a therapeutic environment that allows clients the opportunity to heal and grow. They feed you well, the coffee is real and usually strong (though limited to meal times,) the gym is better than most. There are ample smoke breaks and there are decent amenities. It's not the Ritz, but it's not supposed to be. Amazing staff who make sure you’re are well taken care of and comfortable. The chef made incredible food for every meal and stocked the fridge every day with fresh food that we could eat at anytime as well. They also kept the freezer stocked with ice cream and water ice. The facility is cozy and kept very clean. There is a smart tv in every room as well as in the lounge/common area which is set up like a living room. I found the groups helpful. There are 3 hour long groups you can attend but don’t have to and either an AA or NA speakers that comes every night for an hour long meeting. I liked that Sunrise is a smaller facility, having room for about 20 patients. This made it easier to open up and share. You are able to go outside for fresh air or to smoke anytime except during group time. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about Sunrise Detox. Thank you to all the staff! You all are amazing!!

I went to sunrise 6/7 for the first time ever and I don’t regret a single thing about. Never been to detox before but the people who work there actually care about you and want you to get better. It only works if you are ready though. The food was amazing everyday, the counselors are there to help you, and the doctors/nurses want what’s best for you. I will 100% be going back there one day to speak to the patients to show them that recovery is possible. They also help you with finding resources after being discharged. I was recommended tk a doctor for the sublocade shot and had it done within two weeks of leaving sunrise. It’s a smaller operation but I found it to be better.

Their evidence based programs are tailored to the patient and encompass a variety of modalities that offer the patient comprehensive treatment for long term recovery. The counselors are highly qualified and compassionate, as are the administrative staff. In addition, I had the opportunity of touring their sober living men's house located a few miles from the facility. I used to volunteer services at Teen Challenge. In 2009 the cost for the entire year was 800.00. I would assume it has increased with inflation but the information stating a cost of $12,000 monthly is inaccurate. If you need help you should consider reaching out to Teen Challenge. Lives are transformed at and through Teen Challenge, do not let the inaccurate information about the cost deter you from getting help. Also, I believe they have ways of acquiring financial assistance if needed. If you have a problem and your tired of it and / or you have been to multiple rehabs, this one is different. Don’t go back to what you know doesn’t work. Heart transformation vs’ behavior modification. Anybody can change their behavior for external reasons, like they got fired from their job, fighting with spouse, ect. and they really believe that they’ve stopped., but two months after getting a new job and the coast is clear guess what creeps back out? When there’s a transformed heart, the desires are abolished, not tucked away for later. Hearts are transformed at Teen Challenge. In 2009 the program was12 months. You might think that’s a long time. If you do nothing 5 years will fly by and you will be where you are now, or worse off, or even dead. Make a move now and imagine the endless possibilities that can happen in five years. New friends, new career, new location, clear, productive mind. Don’t wait. Do it today. “Once a man is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old is gone, and the new has begun.” 2 cor 5:17

I recently completed treatment at malvern (king road location) the facility is decent , they seem to keep it very clean and so do most of the patients . I gave a solid 4 stars because of these factors: the grounds are nice they provide a decent sized walking trailer , they have outdoor games and activities that everyone who is able can get involved, they have decent sitting areas . The food was okay, some days the meal choices were odd, like grilled cheese and Italian wedding soup for lunch then burgers with tomato soup for dinner , alas it was still tasty. The staff were great ,they all seemed to actually give a damn , and I cant tell you how many positive things they say throughout the day.( Lynnwood, doreen,Justin, Evan, Katie, Kristie, Jen, Matt, Charles, Shaun) my small list of people who made my stay worth while . Along with my counselor Maddie putting in the extra 10 percent to make me comfortable during my time there. The negative factors, there isn't much curriculum, I think the patients would benefit from more book work , I have done tc program in state prison and while there was a lot of book work it helped me greatly understand myself more and learn how to practice healthy coping skills and positive self talk , even how to adjust my core beliefs. All that from having to do some book work . In malvern most of the groups are just open floor discussions, not much is done to help people change the negative self talk they impose , or better yet give them a solution to there problem . I have several years sober before I relapsed and I would often re read my books from TC. SO a more structured tc like programming there may be very beneficial. Further more there is a lot of favoritism going on within the facility which seems to cause push back with patients and there is also alot of fornication taking place which is often lot ho several times before the individuals are removed from the program. Maybe using the advantage of several facilities, and further separation by age would be best. It seems the younger individuals are more interested in the sex acts then the older ones. But all in all the place wasnt bad id love to apply for a job there to also help people and even help make the place better one day . My advice is if you go , your small group is the best group to share in . -Zach

I currently go to the healing way. And the only reasons I had problems was because I wasn't doing what I needed to do. They applied some pressure on me and reminded me I wasn't going to be given up on and sometimes that's what we need. They helped me embrace some things I'd have never done on my own and continue to hold me accountable me while showing me an immense amount of support. If you can't handle being told what your real issues are, it probably isn't for you. If you can't handle being called out, it probably isn't for you. Staff there will give opportunity if you actually try and put out effort. It's some heavy stuff. Totally worth it.
