After almost a year of addictions treatment and therapy sessions I'm better prepared to handle life and happier. Medication was discussed but never pushed. Every therapist I came into contact with seemed genuinely interested in helping me even when things got complicated with my lack of insurance and on multiple occasions I witnessed the staff going out of their way to help others in the programs with me. I was willing to change for the better and I know I was only going to take out what i was willing to put in. I had a friend who also went to pfh to get clean about 7 years ago and the change in this place (from 7 years ago to now) is nothing but amazing! The staff are ALL caring, loving, people who want nothing but the best for everyone who steps foot inside this building! I would suggest before arriving for your stay that you call and verify what items you are able to bring and what items aren't accepted. Ask about possible medications and scripts your doctor may have you on - they do give some medications and you are even allowed to have some items such as hygiene and OTC meds such as Tylenol. I'd recommend having some cash or change as well, they have a vending machine you'll get access to. You might also get to go on a day trip to Walmart, so if you'd like to spend some money at Walmart - you'll need to bring some! 🤍The last thing I can truly suggest is.... arrive with an open mind and an open heart to allow these loving people to help you become a better/healthier version of yourself. Your loved one deserves their love/help to get clean and live a life they are proud of! Get your loved ones back - get with PFH to secure their bed! ((( I commend those of you that got on here and admitted you went to treatment to the entire world. I think it shows you care about other people more than yourself. I know I have to keep that shlt in check))) .......... Swallow your Pride, and Call for help if you truly want to save your life. You have to make this decision on your own. Then, from now on, you'll never be again alone.. You will learn knowledge from this facility that will help you not just Defend against whatever addiction is destroying you. The Staff, Counselors, and CEO at Bel Aire are awesome and truly care about people.. They have given me a better quality of life. I'm happy for the first time, in a long time.. it was BitterSweet seeing somebody stumble in those doors on the brink of death, and then watching them come to life usually within a couple days. i was only there 16 days and I saw it over and over again .. " and Please read at least the first 164 pages of AA's Big Book even if drinking wasn't your vise/chain/thing"

I've always had a wonderful experience here. I go in once a year for my check up. I get labs done 2 hrs early, then just hang out until my appt. The staff at the clinic and labs have always been great. Recently I went in to have a CT scan done. The folks in room 111 were just as amazing. The lady at the front desk (didn't catch her name) was very friendly. And Hailey who did my IV and did all the prep was excellent. Huge shout out to room 111!

I am 5 starring this for treatment purposes only. Unfortunately they weren't able to help me cause meetings made me think of drugs more and intensely. However there were a lot of successful recovering addicts whom the program worked well for. I cant 2 star it because I didn't get much out of it cause thats my issue. Walked in without a clue or insurance. The staff was kind and patient. After almost a year of addictions treatment and therapy sessions I'm better prepared to handle life and happier. Medication was discussed but never pushed. Every therapist I came into contact with seemed genuinely interested in helping me even when things got complicated with my lack of insurance and on multiple occasions I witnessed the staff going out of their way to help others in the programs with me. I was willing to change for the better and I know I was only going to take out what i was willing to put in. These people are not all knowing or perfect but they care and will do what they can to help.

I have lived with severe depression for many years of my life, finding myself buried deeper and deeper in a sinking pit. I am a pro at masking, but it took every ounce of me and as soon as I got home, I’d collapse in couchlock (after pushing myself to take care of my son and my fur babies). I just finished my TMS treatments this past month and the results are unbelievable. My PHQ scores went from 28 to 5!! My symptoms are completely in remission. There were no adverse effects. If you are considering TMS, do it!!!! Having the mental and emotional energy to take my son and pups on a walk without pushing myself every step of the way internally is so freeing. I've been a patient first on El Dorado and now on Augusta. I've gone through people and ended up the past 6 years in private therapy as with private practice therapists tend to stay around, and at scmh it's more of a transition time from graduation to their own private practice. I could bring up the difficulties over the years with case management or the meds. But what I realized is that I'm human and so are the people that work there. And 12 years ago it was rough.l and even 3 years ago. It's brighter today. And I can honestly say they probably saved my life. I haven't met anyone ( ok well maybe one) that doesn't have a huge heart. They do what they are there for and there are times I've needed the help. Most treat you as an autonomous capable person. Nowadays I just see a med provider- Tara Price, and she is fantastic. She used to see a couple of my daughters and got them through a scary time for them as well. She listens, is compassionate and you can tell she is invested in helping you get to the point your wanting to get to in life if possible.... I know it's county mental health, but after either experiencing or hearing about things at other county mental health organizations in Kansas I think we've got it good in Butler county, not perfect, but good.... ( and that's a good thing, because perfectionists? Nah)

i was in observational out patient for a couple of days. they helped me when i was in a crisis. they got me started on mild depression and anxiety medication. they also helped me find resources to maintain my prescription and mental health services. the staff was fantastic and the other patients were kind. the room wasn’t ideal but everything else was great.

Commenting as a family member to a patient of PFH, currently! *I had a friend who also went to pfh to get clean about 7 years ago and the change in this place (from 7 years ago to now) is nothing but amazing! The staff are ALL caring, loving, people who want nothing but the best for everyone who steps foot inside this building!* I would suggest before arriving for your stay that you call and verify what items you are able to bring and what items aren't accepted. Ask about possible medications and scripts your doctor may have you on - they do give some medications and you are even allowed to have some items such as hygiene and OTC meds such as Tylenol. I'd recommend having some cash or change as well, they have a vending machine you'll get access to. You might also get to go on a day trip to Walmart, so if you'd like to spend some money at Walmart - you'll need to bring some! 🤍The last thing I can truly suggest is.... arrive with an open mind and an open heart to allow these loving people to help you become a better/healthier version of yourself. Your loved one deserves their love/help to get clean and live a life they are proud of! Get your loved ones back - get with PFH to secure their bed! It'll be worth it 🫶🏼
