I've heard many horror stories about the VA, but in my experience they don't apply here. I've gone to the Wichita VA for the last 6 years and they've given me the best mental and physical health care I've had in my life. Appointments are prompt and the staff is very thorough and caring. The ER is quick and professional and preferable to any urgent care or other ER I've been to. I'm very grateful for this VA.

I'm originally from Phoenix and after taking my Grandfather to the VA and enduring the wait and poor service, I decided to just use my insurance. I was in my 60s and living in Winfield, Kansas before friends here urged me to use the VA. I have COPD so I decided to try Robert Dole. I did, and have been so impressed by the care and treatment that I have received from them that I regret not using the VA earlier. The Doctors, my Care Team, along with the other service providers at the VA are great.

No place is perfect. I have been going here for 12 months now and I have been clean for 11months. It tooke a month to get off everything, but I have. It's been wonderful, my family is shocked and so happy how well I am doing. My kids are starting to trust me again. Everyone says I am starting to at like the old me that they haven't seen in a long time. I wish someone would have told me about this sooner. I have had some issues with the drug screens coming back positive 3 times when I have been clean and was not using. One of them got dropped because the confirmation came back negative, so that was great but the other 2 was contaminated because I haven't used one thing since 6/19/23. This was hard to deal with because How can u fix a drug screen that comes back dirty when u are clean..so I did lose my take homes for a month which sucked. But you know what It's a hell of a lot better then where I was before. I love who I am now I am working really hard on my recovery and just gotta keep doing the right thing even when things don't go ur way. If you want a change it is so able and this place has really saved my life and my relationship with my kids, and family.

From day 1, I was treated with respect and as if I had known the counselors forever. I was amazed on how Cathy and Theresa treated everyone. And Hannah at the front desk is a great person to see when you first come in the door. I couldn't be more proud of myself for completing treatment and graduated. Thank you all so very much

Was here multiple times for psych and once for alcoholism. I am above middle class, have a degree, and just have bipolar disorder from genetics. The people complaining don’t know how good it is compared to other facilities. The place is clean, the food is great, and the staff is amazing. Please remember the people reviewing this place have issues and can be handful. Most people who have problems at places like this, unless it is filthy, create their own problems.

Wichita Detox is that spot where everything finally slows down, and you can breathe for a sec. If you’ve been running wild, using just to feel normal, this place helps you hit pause and get your mind and body right. Detox isn’t pretty, but they make it as smooth as it can get — no cold stares, no shady energy, just real people who care. They don’t just clean you up and send you packing. Wichita Detox helps you figure out what’s next, whether it’s rehab, therapy, or just not crashing again. It’s lowkey, supportive, and way more personal than you’d expect. If you’re ready to bounce back, this is where the bounce starts.

I'm giving South Central Mental Health in El Dorado a 4 star rating because there's always room for improvement. I appreciate my old therapist (for privacy reasons I will not State who that person is) He was very polite. A gentleman. Had a very caring nature. I appreciate his willingness to help me. I also appreciate him being skeptical when I wasn't being honest with him. I appreciate him allowing me to rethink the whole moving in with my dad discussion because it would have been bad. Towards the end I needed a change because I went through personality changes. I felt that my therapist then did not recognize me anymore because I changed after being in state custody. I appreciate the receptionists for always making me laugh and giving me candy at the time and a rubber stress ball. Very kind. Thank you!

Sober Living is where the real work begins after you’ve detoxed and gotten clean. It’s not just a place to crash — it’s a community that keeps you on track when the cravings hit hard and life tries to throw you off. They get that staying clean ain’t easy, so they provide the support, structure, and good vibes you need to keep grinding. No fake smiles or tough love nonsense — just people who’ve been there and know how to help you stay steady. Whether it’s group talks, one-on-one check-ins, or just having a safe spot to land, Sober Living helps you build a new life that actually sticks. Five stars for anyone ready to keep moving forward.

Sober Living gave me something I hadn’t felt in a long time—peace. The place has a calm, no-judgment vibe that made it easier to just breathe and be honest. The staff didn’t talk down to me or treat me like a project—they treated me like a person who was ready to get better. Detox was tough, but they kept me grounded the whole way through. What made it stand out was how real they kept it. No fake promises, no pressure—just steady support and people who really want to see you make it. If you're ready to start over and want a place that actually feels like support, not punishment, this is the spot.

This rehab center is a good place to go. They do not criticize you if you relaps on your drug of choice. They also make a grate counsler if you ever need someone to talk to when your feeling down or what ever you need to talk about. They are good listeners. If your required to go 3 times a week and you want to go 4 times a week they will let you. They also have morning groups and Night groups. If you dont have transportation you and do the morring group and as long as you call before a suertent time then you will have a ride. There and back to your location. Or if you have a doc appoment or a vist with your kids or work after words they will take you there. But in order to get a ride you must be within their circled map to get a ride.. Witch is pritty big. If you miss a group you can go to the night one to make it up. The staff is very friendly, kind, and also sometimes has a sences of humor.

As a first-generation immigrant juggling elder care and teen kids, it was hard admitting I needed help. Fieldview at Holland gave me a calm space to breathe and focus on recovery. Their outpatient program fit my schedule and let me stay present for my family. I appreciated how private and respectful the staff was. Some group sessions felt a little rushed, but overall, the team was understanding and kind. I really liked how they helped families too, even if some materials weren’t in my first language. I chose to review South Central Mental Health in Augusta with 4 stars because I'm very satisfied with the services I'm currently receiving however I chose four stars instead of five because I think there is always room for improvement. I appreciate South Central Mental Health for all they do for me. They have been stern and strict in the past which I did not respond well to at the time. however. Now I find it necessary for the way I was I behaving at that current time. I've been enrolled with South Central since I was eight and have seen many staff and many employees come and go. I have a mental health matters sign in my room and it's a permanent reminder to always appreciate modern mental health treatment. I would approve of the '70s way of treatment less. The building is way more modern, was recently remodeled. So much cleaner than comcare. Thank you staff and therapist for always believing in me even when times were tough.
