I've always had a wonderful experience here. I go in once a year for my check up. I get labs done 2 hrs early, then just hang out until my appt. The staff at the clinic and labs have always been great. Recently I went in to have a CT scan done. The folks in room 111 were just as amazing. The lady at the front desk (didn't catch her name) was very friendly. And Hailey who did my IV and did all the prep was excellent. Huge shout out to room 111!

I was blessed with the opportunity to go to wrc at the beginning of 2016. The Kimtechs where very personable, I used to always ride w ms.dourthy to go pick up the food from Options, we was allowed to smoke cigarettes in the courtyard, which I enjoyed. The only issue for me is who I got as a Counselor, Mrs Brown I believe her name was. She just wasn't as involved as other counselors. Maybe they paired me w her bcus they knew I didn't need a lot of supervision. which I didn't but it might've been nice to have some -one on one- w a professional, learning healthy coping mechanisms. Since that was my first attempt to get clean since I started at 12, I ended up having 4½ yrs clean that time ... Thinking about checking out their new location

I've been a patient first on El Dorado and now on Augusta. I've gone through people and ended up the past 6 years in private therapy as with private practice therapists tend to stay around, and at scmh it's more of a transition time from graduation to their own private practice. I could bring up the difficulties over the years with case management or the meds. But what I realized is that I'm human and so are the people that work there. And 12 years ago it was rough.l and even 3 years ago. It's brighter today. And I can honestly say they probably saved my life. I haven't met anyone ( ok well maybe one) that doesn't have a huge heart. They do what they are there for and there are times I've needed the help. Most treat you as an autonomous capable person. Nowadays I just see a med provider- Tara Price, and she is fantastic. She used to see a couple of my daughters and got them through a scary time for them as well. She listens, is compassionate and you can tell she is invested in helping you get to the point your wanting to get to in life if possible.... I know it's county mental health, but after either experiencing or hearing about things at other county mental health organizations in Kansas I think we've got it good in Butler county, not perfect, but good.... ( and that's a good thing, because perfectionists? Nah)

I absolutely loved the experience here! (Moundridge, Ks) they have wonderful rooms, an amazing nursing team (they know you by name within a couple of days & never made me feel like I was less than them!) the case managers and chaplains taught me so many things that have kept me well after discharge! Counselors are without parallel! (Especially Amber, duh). And the food is amazing as well as they ladies who cook it… you will not regret going to this facility

As someone who was terribly frightened of starting on the path to mental health recovery, Comcare made it very easy. The workers were patient with my inexperience and my intake was a breeze. My greatest fear was that I'd be treated as an attention-seeker, or foolish for having done my research. Instead, my intake practitioner was thoughtful and receptive, and agreed with my basic coverage of things; though I am not a skeptic of therapy, it was not what I needed. Referral to a medication consultation was quick and painless, as was that appointment. Above all, everything has been immensely affordable -- and more importantly, Comcare doesn't pressure you to cough up. I've never once been made to pay in office, or even asked to. I get my bill in the mail, and pay when I am able.

Commenting as a family member to a patient of PFH, currently! *I had a friend who also went to pfh to get clean about 7 years ago and the change in this place (from 7 years ago to now) is nothing but amazing! The staff are ALL caring, loving, people who want nothing but the best for everyone who steps foot inside this building!* I would suggest before arriving for your stay that you call and verify what items you are able to bring and what items aren't accepted. Ask about possible medications and scripts your doctor may have you on - they do give some medications and you are even allowed to have some items such as hygiene and OTC meds such as Tylenol. I'd recommend having some cash or change as well, they have a vending machine you'll get access to. You might also get to go on a day trip to Walmart, so if you'd like to spend some money at Walmart - you'll need to bring some! 🤍The last thing I can truly suggest is.... arrive with an open mind and an open heart to allow these loving people to help you become a better/healthier version of yourself. Your loved one deserves their love/help to get clean and live a life they are proud of! Get your loved ones back - get with PFH to secure their bed! It'll be worth it 🫶🏼

I really appreciate the amount of time and effort the counselors and BHTS apply to each individual client!!!! I believe this to be a adequate program if the client is willing to put in as much as the staff do. Thank you PFH :)

I sought out “A clear direction” after a horrible experience at a place called changing habits with the owner David. He was a narcissistic & inappropriate creep to say the least. After looking up a clear direction I was weary of having another bad experience, but upon going to their office I met with Mario who put me at ease from our first conversation. Mario is great but the real treasure there is Ms Dana🖤 She is such a light and conducts herself in a real and raw way. She’s not afraid of getting down to the core of things to help you. She brought me many laughs, insights, and real help during a turbulent time in my recovery. If I ever need treatment again A clear direction will absolutely be my first stop.
