I'm giving South Central Mental Health in El Dorado a 4 star rating because there's always room for improvement. I appreciate my old therapist (for privacy reasons I will not State who that person is) He was very polite. A gentleman. Had a very caring nature. I appreciate his willingness to help me. I also appreciate him being skeptical when I wasn't being honest with him. I appreciate him allowing me to rethink the whole moving in with my dad discussion because it would have been bad. Towards the end I needed a change because I went through personality changes. I felt that my therapist then did not recognize me anymore because I changed after being in state custody. I appreciate the receptionists for always making me laugh and giving me candy at the time and a rubber stress ball. Very kind. Thank you!

I was blessed with the opportunity to go to wrc at the beginning of 2016. The Kimtechs where very personable, I used to always ride w ms.dourthy to go pick up the food from Options, we was allowed to smoke cigarettes in the courtyard, which I enjoyed. The only issue for me is who I got as a Counselor, Mrs Brown I believe her name was. She just wasn't as involved as other counselors. Maybe they paired me w her bcus they knew I didn't need a lot of supervision. which I didn't but it might've been nice to have some -one on one- w a professional, learning healthy coping mechanisms. Since that was my first attempt to get clean since I started at 12, I ended up having 4½ yrs clean that time ... Thinking about checking out their new location

I remember driving my stepdad to inpatient treatment in 2018, and then taking my brother to treatment in 2021. Addiction impacted our family deeply, but Valley Hope was there during some of our most difficult moments. After completing inpatient treatment, my stepdad continued with Valley Hope's outpatient program, and that ongoing support was vital to helping him maintain his sobriety. Having a continuum of care made a tremendous difference in his recovery journey. Valley Hope has been instrumental in our family's life. The care, compassion, and support they provided helped change the course of our loved ones' lives, and we will forever be grateful for the impact they have had on our family. My husband went there for kratom addiction. He left early but has been sober for 6 months!! I credit them with helping him get over the physical symptoms with care and compassion. Valley Hope is amazing! Every person is very caring and make you feel like you can do this. The quality of care, facility, recovery program team are exceptional. They also have aftercare so when you get out you have great options for continued care. They check on you periodically to make sure you are okay. As someone who was terribly frightened of starting on the path to mental health recovery, Comcare made it very easy. The workers were patient with my inexperience and my intake was a breeze. My greatest fear was that I'd be treated as an attention-seeker, or foolish for having done my research. Instead, my intake practitioner was thoughtful and receptive, and agreed with my basic coverage of things; though I am not a skeptic of therapy, it was not what I needed. Referral to a medication consultation was quick and painless, as was that appointment. Above all, everything has been immensely affordable -- and more importantly, Comcare doesn't pressure you to cough up. I've never once been made to pay in office, or even asked to. I get my bill in the mail, and pay when I am able.

Commenting as a family member to a patient of PFH, currently! *I had a friend who also went to pfh to get clean about 7 years ago and the change in this place (from 7 years ago to now) is nothing but amazing! The staff are ALL caring, loving, people who want nothing but the best for everyone who steps foot inside this building!* I would suggest before arriving for your stay that you call and verify what items you are able to bring and what items aren't accepted. Ask about possible medications and scripts your doctor may have you on - they do give some medications and you are even allowed to have some items such as hygiene and OTC meds such as Tylenol. I'd recommend having some cash or change as well, they have a vending machine you'll get access to. You might also get to go on a day trip to Walmart, so if you'd like to spend some money at Walmart - you'll need to bring some! 🤍The last thing I can truly suggest is.... arrive with an open mind and an open heart to allow these loving people to help you become a better/healthier version of yourself. Your loved one deserves their love/help to get clean and live a life they are proud of! Get your loved ones back - get with PFH to secure their bed! It'll be worth it 🫶🏼

Wichita Detox felt like the reset button I didn’t know I needed. The whole vibe there was calm but no-nonsense — they didn’t sugarcoat things, but they weren’t harsh either. The detox part was rough (obviously), but the staff kept it manageable and kept checking on me like clockwork.What hit different was how real they were. No judgment, just help. Dr. Demark is a doctor I have seen for 14 years. He is one of the best and one of the only doctors I trust. He is available when needed. His nursing staff has changed over the years but are still very high quality. I wish he would have a full time nurse, but the KCVA does what that think is best. Dr. Demark thank you for being my Dr.

Terrible program director, terrible counselors, nurses quit every month because the program director CONNIE PHILLIPS is pure evil. do ANYTHING before going to her clinic. suboxone (just dont go to Thomas Atkinson) even kratom is a better option

I sought out “A clear direction” after a horrible experience at a place called changing habits with the owner David. He was a narcissistic & inappropriate creep to say the least. After looking up a clear direction I was weary of having another bad experience, but upon going to their office I met with Mario who put me at ease from our first conversation. Mario is great but the real treasure there is Ms Dana🖤 She is such a light and conducts herself in a real and raw way. She’s not afraid of getting down to the core of things to help you. I took the Batterers Intervention Program (We renamed it Believe In Peace) taking this class changed my life. Changed my outlook on life and parenting. Changed how I see myself. Dana is amazing. Being in a group of women to learn and grow was just magical, empowering, just supportive. We cried for others and lifted up those who needed lifted. We shared the most vulnerable things with each other to let go of what was and embrace a new us. I completed my class and I still go back every so often to remember who I am and what I accomplished.
