At first I was like, no way is this for me. But Grayson totally got where I was coming from. The groups were super age-specific and chill. I learned how to set boundaries and say no without feeling weird. They helped me prep to go back to school too. Food was decent and the space felt safe. Cassie is incredible she holds her boundaries so firmly, yet does it in such a loving way that you always feel safe with her. Anthony has a way of making your heart melt just by being himself his kindness and warmth shine through in everything he does. And Shane instantly makes you feel welcomed, like you belong there from the moment you meet him.
The entire staff carries a mix of strength, love, and authenticity that makes The Bridge unlike any other place. They don’t just teach you tools they walk beside you, support you, and remind you that you’re not alone.

The Bridge to Recovery opened my eyes to what needs to be put in place to live a happy, meaningful and positive life. The group interaction, is one that I’ve never experienced before in therapy, I felt “a part of” instead of “a part from”. Upon arriving, I never have felt so welcomed and a peace of knowing this is exactly where I need to be and where I want to be. Each day opened up new ways to understand self care, trauma, just life in general and how to operate effectively through it. Now I’m on my way to becoming a “whole person.” I will forever be thankful for my experience there, it’s quite unforgettable and would recommend to absolutely everyone.

I was nervous at first but realized how many wonderful clients there was. everyone was so kind even though our circumstances were what they were. We all became close as we were being cared for and introduced to recovery and safety from drugs and alcohol and the outside conditions we were experiencing. I'm honestly surprised at the reviews my stay at rivendell was nothing like what some of these say. I loved the food always made sure we had enough. Loved most of if not all of the staff shout-out Mr Bennett the nights where a little rough but the flashlights didn't bother me as much as you'd think and they were just checking on us. My bed was comfortable and I had all the hygiene supplies I needed deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush, and a shower every morning. Snacks twice a day and hygiene breaks as needed and two 5 minute phone calls. Rivendell thought me skills that are helping me in the real world and I will forever be grateful.

I have been coming to the Bowling Green, KY office since before they were taken over by AppleGate. The core group of people has been the same since I started attending, 6 years ago. They are all great! I cannot express just how nice it is to have this group of people in my corner. They are an important piece of my recovery, allowing me to lead a normal, fulfilling life. Myself and my family are forever grateful that we found such a great group of people to walk through my recovery with. Nothing but professionalism. I've never had a problem that they couldn't explain or point me in the right direction. The VA client in Bowling Green deserves our upmost support. You have to remember they are totally dependent on the powers that be in Washington. That has to be a tough row to hoe these days. As far as to the negative reviews about the wait time. Be honest and vulnerable with your psychologist to get diagnosed accurately. They only know what they’re told.
Work with the staff while being open and receptive to treatment. It’s that simple.
I finally got accurately diagnosed, got on personalized medication, talked daily with a therapist so we could talk about strategies to overcome my personal challenges, and I put in the work for myself; this place isn’t a quick solution or a “cure all” by any means, it’s the first step forward you just have to use the opportunity, be consistent with putting effort, love, care, time, and dedication into yourself.
BOTTOM LINE: Work With The Staff and Put In The Work to make a better life for yourself.
