About Leake and Watts Services

Located in Yonkers, New York, is Leake and Watts Services. This is a non profit organization that supports children, families, and adults who are experiencing hardships in life.

These hardships may include struggles related to health and wellness, intellectual or developmental disabilities, or issues brought on by weakened family units and substance abuse struggles. If any of these issues have impacted you or your family’s life, you’ll find supportive care here.

Stabilization Family Support Services

There is a program under the Children and Family Services known as Family Stabilization. This program is designed for families that have been impacted by substance use, whether it be the substance use struggles of a child or of a parent.

The program can also address symptoms and struggles brought on by coexisting mental health struggles as well. To receive care through this program, you’ll need to be referred to their services as they operate out of their Bronx and Manhattan locations.

Building Healthier Families

You’ll find that many of the services offered through this nonprofit revolve around building healthier, united families. They do this by targeting specific struggles you or your family might be facing.

For example, they have a juvenile justice program that addresses the needs of youth involved in the legal system. Whether it’s through counseling or education and support for at risk behaviors like substance use, delinquent juveniles will be encouraged to make healthier and positive life changes.

Social Support Services

Through their intellectual and developmental disability services as well as their health and wellness services, you can get connected to other supports that will improve your overall health and wellness.

This can include helping you apply for insurance so that you can receive more comprehensive substance abuse treatment from a community provider or helping you enroll in government benefits like the Women, Infants, and Children’s program. This organization makes it easier to get access to the social support services you need.

Work here at your own risk should be the sign of this place. The amount of pay wasn't worth the stress and trauma that this place causes me. The kids are crazy and it's the wild west where the kids rules over the staff safety. The kids get to harm the staff and when the staff speak up against it, you ended up getting fired. It was such a toxic and hostile work environment to work for. Any hard and good workers they have leave after dealing with this place. Also, trainings all the time were useless because nothing got done nor fixed.

Aye I ain't the owner but I used to be a kid there and it's because all old staff have done very corrupt and outrageous things to kids there and have other behind closed door deals. The reason they don't hold the kids accountable is because they know we have have evidence and everything we need to get all of them arrested. And they don't wanna go there. Sorry you had to deal with the pain to! Also read Lakisha woods review she stated the truth about that to. They also have behind closed door deals with the 3rd precinct a detective had been working on it but quote quote when she was vacation someone broke in the office and nobody knows how in a police station. 2nd time she built the whole case from scratch again it had coffee spilled on it "accidentally" when another staff walked in. Luckily there's people there trying but rising ground is old school and so is Yonkers pd.

I give this place a -100000... my son was jumped everyday he had to barricade himself in the room because kids were coming after him. Staff didn't wanna help. i have a video of my son getting stomped out and staff just watching this. this place needs to be shut down. Staff does not care about what is going on with the kids. My son was always going a-wol to get out and to try and be safe. My son started smoking weed there, he has never been around any kind of drug. This place is no good. If any parent loved there child DO NOT PUT YOUR CHILD THERE> NOT EVEN WITH THE CSE!!!!

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

ZERO STARS. Please note, this application is set to default and will not allow zero stars. If you work here under a contract , read it carefully. This place will use your skills to fill a space to get grants and then reduce you so that they can use the money for other reasons. Ask Rising Grounds Leake & Watts to share what happened to the funds for the program and program coordinators wages. Then ask them where they got those funds and what they're supposed to be used for. Pictures are not worth a thousand words anymore, it a fabrication. At the expense of hard workers and of course the children.
