About Mesa Vista Wellness

Mesa Vista Wellness is a group of licensed clinicians striving to help their clients live thriving, substance free lives through a balanced holistic treatment approach. The wellness center is in Santa Fe, New Mexico on Office Court Drive. The therapists treat clients in recovery from substance use and co occurring mental health disorders. They treat children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.

The clinicians at the center offer many traditional treatment modalities such as individual therapy. Recovery services include a 12 week intensive outpatient program (IOP) with multiple treatment modalities. You’ll learn to manage cravings, identify triggers and gain strategies for recovery.

Holistic Therapies for Whole Person Recovery in Santa Fe

In addition, the group offers some unique and interesting treatment modalities that go beyond traditional methods. The philosophy at the wellness center is holistic and the alternative therapies are designed to open your heart and bring harmony to your spirit, body, and mind. This helps build resilience and inner strength. They offer therapeutic and flow yoga. These are nurturing, gentle yoga classes that relieve stress. The classes are suitable for most levels and are taught by certified yoga instructors.

Healing Through Sound

The center also offers a sacred sound healing experience called a Limpias. Using flutes, guitars, drums, and other instruments, the ceremony clears your spirit of old energy while bringing harmony to the body’s energy centers. You’re encouraged to bring anything that will aid your journey, such as pillows or blankets and a journal, pen, and water.

Finding Inner Peace Through Sharmanic Practices

You can also participate in shamanic healing with a shamanic practitioner. You’ll work through past traumas, unresolved issues, grief, and loss using your intuition with the Shaman’s guidance. They also offer a type of folk medicine called Curanderismo. This is a combination of techniques such as Limpias with traditional Indigenous holistic practices.

Recovery Groups Just for Teens

The clinicians designed a special program for adolescents called group recovery oriented wellness for adolescents (G.R.O.W.). The program utilizes group, individual, and family counseling combined with games, movement, and art during this nine week program.

I have been waiting for an appointment for 3-4 weeks. Just got of the phone with the receptionist and she clearly said they have no time for any new clients.

False advertising on Psychology Today using the profile of Todd, who doesn't actually see clients. Asked for my *full* social security number just to be put on a waiting list, plus all kinds of other unnecessary info. I wouldn't trust them with any of it.

Mesa Vista is not family friendly, and I would seriously warn anyone to think twice about taking your children here. The Counselor Heather Dawn Hines is not qualified to perform as a counselor for children and Mesa Vista as an establishment does not value the concerns of parents. My family suffered a traumatic experience directly because of Heather s negligence, and yet Mesa Vista did absolutely NOTHING to address her behavior. They were made fully aware of the situation and wrongdoings of Ms. Hines, and yet continued to allow her to corrupt and abuse her clients. My reason for this review is to let others know that there are so MANY other options in Santa Fe to actually get help from qualified and caring people. I would strongly encourage you to seek another option for your child s wellbeing. Mesa Vista does not even deserve one star and I truly believe Heather should not have a license or be allowed around children.Hope this helps others make better decisions for their family! Mesa Vista is not it!

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

We were recommended this clinic by our primary care providers. They do provide Telehealth sessions which makes it a lot more accessible; the sessions can be done over Video Call or just by Telephone, which I really appreciate. Staff is lovely, and the therapists we've worked with have been great too.

My experience with Mesa Vista Wellness was very horrible and very unprofessional. From the therapist (Jesse) herself, who argues with her clients. To the main manager (Todd P.) who runs this location. That does not return phone calls that I had called numerous times and left numerous messages for 3 plus weeks, and gives a lame excuse saying that he is super busy and he's been out of town. To where the Santa Fe family courts say they have no excuse for his unprofessionalism for not calling me back. People My advice to you all do not use this location for therapy they are a joke....

Bad experience.I had an awful experience with Stephanie Murphy who was judgemental, deceitful, untrustworthy and breached our confidentiality. I felt personally victimized when receiving care at Mesa Vista Wellness. I know options for mental health services in Santa Fe are limited, but look elsewhere for quality care.
