Was nervous at first not knowing what to expect. I was able to let go of one habit ,and gain new healthy habits , with out the people in the program and the facility workers everyone included from the owners , the nurses , medical staff , therapist , direct care staff if it wasn’t for all of them and there support and influence to keep going I don’t think I would have stayed . It was more then a treatment center it was a family and I got to be a part of it . , towards the end of my 30 days I wanted to stay longer.. , thank you new Mexico wellness

The staff here is very thorough and efficient, making sure that every visit is handled with care and professional attention. While some team members are exceptionally friendly and outgoing and others are a bit more reserved, everyone I have encountered remains focused on providing quality service.
It is a well-organized facility that operates smoothly, which I truly appreciate when navigating my healthcare needs. The clinic is conveniently located at 1760 Grande Blvd SE, and the environment feels clean and respectful of the veterans it serves. I’m grateful for the consistent support I’ve received here and would definitely recommend this location to others looking for reliable care.

I don't know how I would have gotten the help that I needed without Desert Mountain. I go voluntary without a court order. After many times of trying to quit alcohol, I finally had to do it and it wasn't a choice. The whole staff are friendly and caring. The counselors are always available for help and support. I enjoy every group meeting. Everyone participates in the group meetings and the meetings are fun and Interactive. I feel like we're family. We all support each other, understand each other, and get each other. We all relate in some way. I would not be this successful without this program.

It is a government beaurocracy. You must fit the system or the system will absolutely ignore you. Seek the help of the administrators and the intake nurses and carefully follow their directions otherwise you will suffer all kinds of frustrations. Be kind to the little folks. They will help you. The more senior folks are frustrated with the system as well and don't have that much time to assist you. So do yourself a favor and really pay attention to the junior people. Have your act together beforehand. Search the internet and know what you need and what the system can provide. That way unrealistic expectations do not frustrate them as well as you.

The space is like a protective compound of renovated homes with a central peaceful garden and multiple therapy spaces. It feels safe, comfortable, and thoughtful. We haven’t started the work of therapy just yet, but I’m optimistic about the journey given the amazing start.
Update: Seven months later and I'm still very much impressed. Crystal is a wonderful therapist and a beautiful soul. I'll be honest, the first 4 months felt like a rinse and spin cycle. Rio Rancho is the 71st most expensive city nationwide for addiction treatment affordability, with an average cost of addiction treatment of $59796. This is comparable to the average cost of $57989 for addiction treatment in New Mexico and comparable to the national average cost for drug rehab of $57,193.
The costs of drug and alcohol rehab in Rio Rancho vary widely and depend on several factors, including:
The costs of addiction treatment listed for cities and states are averages based on the cost of medical detox, inpatient rehab, outpatient rehab, and medication assisted treatment. These averages are high due to the cost of medical detoxification and residential inpatient rehab programs.
These numbers also reflect the raw cost of drug rehab, before any insurance coverage. The typical individual seeking addiction treatment can expect to pay much less for outpatient or intensive outpatient services than the averages listed below. There are many ways to pay for drug rehab in Rio Rancho. Most rehab treatment centers accept cash or self-payment, as well as private health insurance. However, there are many treatment centers in Rio Rancho that accept Medicaid and Medicare, or offer sliding scale payments or other low-cost payment options. Here's the complete breakdown of how to pay for addiction treatment near Rio Rancho.
Aetna is the most widely-accepted insurance for drug rehabs in Rio Rancho, with 1 treatment centers in the city accepting their insurance. Blue Cross Blue Shield is the 2nd most popular with 1 treatment centers accepting it followed by Molina Healthcare in 3rd accepted by 1 drug rehabs.
Rio Rancho has the 174th highest rate of drug use nationwide among nearly 400 cities surveyed. This number reflects the combined use of cocaine, heroin, meth, and marijuana, displayed individually below. The percent shown for each drug represents the number of residents in Sandoval county that have reported ever using the following drugs, so these numbers should not be interpreted as direct evidence of current drug use in Rio Rancho or Sandoval county as a whole.
In 2023, Rio Rancho had the 226th highest number narcotics violations out of 330 cities nationwide, with a total of 242 reported drug-related incidents that year. This includes cases of public intoxication, drug arrests, narcotics found during house calls and traffic stops, and any other drug-related crime.
Keep in mind these numbers are dependent on accurate record keeping and reporting laws by local police and sheriffs, and may not fully reflect all drug related crime in Rio Rancho. All values are per 100,000 population.
