I’ve been coming to New Mexico Treatment Center for some time now there’s been a lot of staff that have came an gone it’s sad just when we start to open up to these counselors the next week they’re gone .Theres a few really good counselors up stairs .Theres 1 Dedicated to Her patience the most is Darlene, any time anyone has questions or concerns she’s on it. She goes above & beyond for her patience helps get dog food donated for those who are homeless with animals. They didn’t have security when I first started coming now they do it’s helped, u just have those without any where to go so yes they do hang around . I think they’re should be more programs that are hands on because Being an addict is one thing and for some it’s even harder for some to sit in a room full active users it makes it hard for those who are taking their sobriety serious. I have been using this VA for over 8 years now, and it has been the best VA out of the 4 different VA's that I used over many years. Recently the community care office has been slow at renewals, but I know they are short handed now. I would highly recommend this VA and we must fight to keep it the way it is.

Services in Holbrook are very limited. Practitioners by TV monitor. They don't offer case managers to patients in need nor by patient request. I believe this is a funding issue. Not the center's fault necessarily. This is better than no services. The nurses and employees are very kind regardless!!!

I have sat for a few days wondering what I could say to express my gratitude for this program. Josh cheerseman I cannot thank you enough for your help whenever I call. I run a sober living house and I will only send the females to this program that once upon time saved my lost soul. Drowning in pain , hopeless and lost. I got help here. It can be quite difficult to get into Santa Fe Recovery Center(SFRC) through traditional means. I suggest making a visit to a Santa Fe hospital emergency room and telling the doctor you want to go to SFRC detox. These patients are given priority.
I found Santa Fe Recovery to be the best detox I have attended in long list of treatments attempted in new mexico. With the help and support of SFRC I was able to launch the longest period of clean time I have achieved to date. I most certainly recommend it. There is no magic pill or program that will fix an addict. There's no cure for addiction. There is only treatment, which, with the full participation of the addict, can be of great assistance in regaining a happy and healthy life.
If you encounter a problem that threatens your detox or recovery you must advocate for yourself. You cannot expect people to read your mind.
Any current medications must be reviewed and documented by a doctor at the time of entrance. Make sure staff has this documentation before beginning detox to prevent any interruption of dosing. Otherwise it'll have to be re- prescribed by their doctor who is very busy, so this may take 5 days or more.
If someone asks you to take a medication you are allergic to Do Not Take It! Inform or repeat the issue to staff. They do not force medication in your mouth and compel you to swallow it.
Do not expect to get along with every single staff member; they are people just like us; sometimes with personalities that clash with our own. Avoid staff that upset you or make you uncomfortable when possible. Tell your counselor the situation. They can advise the best course of action.
Do not expect any staff member to work harder for you than you do for yourself; no one can do this for you.
Even if detox/rehab doesn't go the way you had hoped or you are not able maintain recovery at worst you were able to achieve a bit of clean time(which is no small thing) and you know where to come back when you're ready. Or where not to come back and try another program. Just keep trying. Our worst and most compleat failures are the goals we never attempt to reach

My grandson is in here. It took him a bit to adjust. He's been in here for a bit he doesn't like being locked up. But he's been to a few other places before he got here. But this place is way better than the other facilities he's been in. Who is going to like being locked up the question is are you going to learn from it or keep on doing the same thing. Break the rules you come to a place like this one or you go to a juvenile detention center. This place is like a retreat by comparison. They let your parents bring you healthy foods snacks games books you don't get those in other facilities. Especially in juvenile detention nothing goes in.

I was here in 1998-1999 in B.. I was the one that ran out the van on a late night drive. Probably the reason why there ain't handles in the inside of the vans.. It was cool here they feed you good back then I don't know now though.. I was there for six months maybe longer. If you want the help they will help you... I've been working with trish for nearly 3 years. I've been in therapy since I was 7. I never got help like I did with trish. I came to her a shattered soul really just lost to the world. She breathed life into me. I cqnt explain it any other way. I'm no longer under any legal obligation to see her. I do tho. I've been seeing her a whole year now with no order. I just keep soaking up her support. She's not just my Dr she's been my light. I wanna encourage anyone lost and broken to give these guys a chance they really did help me.

This place saved my life. When I was admitted, they were very kind, called me not only by how I look (masculine) but respected my preferred name. There was lots of outside time. The staff were amazing, if needed you could get a hug, and helped me with everything! Just absolute saints. Even when I started my period, they staff were amazing, supplied me with plenty of spare pants + pads, and were absolutely amazing. The night staff I got for about half of my stay was very strict, and I very much appreciated it, as it can get chaotic, but it was just absolutely amazing, they helped me through panic attacks and everything, I just can't express how much they helped me!!! I will always consider this place as a home ❤️

this place is nicer than others, (presbyterian) and i appreciate that they dont have cameras in the bedrooms for privacy. You can also ask techs for hugs if you would like, this really helped me as one of my coping skills in physical touch and helps from my derealization.
I wish we got to go outside more though, and the seclusion room is a bit less comforting than it should be.
but overall, it was okay and it helped.

Honestly? I didn't have a horrible experience here. Unlike Central Desert, they were actually able to wash your clothes and give them back within a day, and gave you the correct clothes. I hate Central Desert. It was a pretty calm environment, safe, relatively clean, the patients seemed chill enough. Bed wasn't uncomfortable. The staff was nice, some nicer than others, it sort of felt like they were overworked. I have epilepsy and some nurses took their sweet time giving me their meds, which irked me. Again unlike Central, they had about 3 cell phones on which you could call anyone you liked, and there wasn't a strict time limit as long as there wasn't someone waiting to use the phone. The meals were like hospital food. Visitation was every day for one hour which was great!! (Again, unlike Central Desert, where visitation was one day a week for 15 minutes, what a joke.) So, if you're going through a crisis and need to be stabilized like I was, Haven is probably your best bet in ABQ. They unfortunately didn't have an outdoor area and it was a lil smaller than Central.

I don’t have any issue with the NP. However I DO take issue with the fact that I left messages through a 7 day period after they had to reschedule me when the NP got sick and I have not heard a word back from them. Completely ran out of my psych meds even after requesting a refill to get me through to my next appointment on my messages and requested that my rescheduled appointment be moved to a much earlier appt since I could not make it work with my schedule. If it wasn’t for the fact that I work for a prescribing doctor I would be in the BHU right now. What happens to people who don’t work for practitioners??? As an office manager myself I’m so angry. I will not be going back and will be seeking care somewhere else.

I stayed here back in the beginning of 2018 till almost the ending of it I know it might have drastically changed here but when I was here most of the staff was helpful and really nice, gave you respect if you respected them. I feel this place is only good for someone staying here for shelter. Definitely not a way to get help unless your 16 and can go to the youth services nextdoor for even more support as long as I have remembered since the shelter can be holding kids that barely got out of a detention center.

But I knew He had a safe warm place for a night, with wonderful people. Any donations would be used properly. PLEASE PLEASE go to the shelter web page and give them what they need to keep Albuquerque and this Nations chi children alive.

I so much appreciate what TLS has been doing for the community for many years. TLS has clients that have been in the program for over 30 years. I believe the staff truly cares about the clients and does their best. We help a difficult population and do great work. THIS PLACE SAVED MY LIFE! Like lots of people out there i struggled with addiction, going nowhere fast and pretty much bed ridden! I was lucky enough to receive 1 of very few openings at the time and now I've been a patient here with this team for many years! I started with no hope in sight to being clean now over 10yrs and running my own business! The staff is amazing and kind and more like family! I look forward to my appointment days it's like visiting friends! If your serious about making a change this is where you need to be! But don't squander your chance, it's a blessing! Dr Ro is definitely one of if not the best Dr I've ever had! Thanks guys! I know i say it alot but you are all the reason I'm still here and living my best life! Attended a workshop training hosted by the organization. GPS will tell you the location is off of Seagull, technically that is correct. If you drive around the building the side of the building perpendicular to Seagull is the correct address.
The bushes in front of the address signs could use a bit of tending to since the building address is on the bottom of the Marquee, hidden by the greenery.
