Great Therapist and Counseling!!! I've been going here for years ((7years))
The therapists that have been assigned to me have been very understanding, and considerate.
The only downside I know of, is if you're not pre-scheduled you must reschedule on Thursdays only.
Aside from that, I absolutely love this place. I feel comfortable switching therapists at any time, I know the doctors that provide my medicine; listen to me and allow me to speak freely on how I would like my medicine to be.
Aside from the long waitlist, I absolutely recommend this place to anyone who needs to go into therapy

Albuquerque, NM | The Evolution Group, Inc., located in Albuquerque, New Mexic, has provided counseling services since 1998. Surrounded by the city’s unique blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage, the center offers a welcoming space for people facing mental health challenges including substance use disorders. They take a holistic approach to addiction treat | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I’m new to both The Evolution Group and in-person therapy in general, but so far the experience has been… lovely. The space is like a protective compound of renovated homes with a central peaceful garden and multiple therapy spaces. It feels safe, comfortable, and thoughtful. The staff have made the process simple… like checking into a spa. My therapist, Crystal, is patient, warm, personable, and genuinely listens. I’ve only had 2 sessions, but all of the worry and anxiety of being in a new environment and situation melted away during the first session. We haven’t started the work of therapy just yet, but I’m optimistic about the journey given the amazing start.
Update: Seven months later and I'm still very much impressed. Crystal is a wonderful therapist and a beautiful soul. I'll be honest, the first 4 months felt like a rinse and spin cycle. That's just my experience of the process, but the team there made it easy to be a patient. Something strange... that place feels familiar and safe, like going home (in a good way). I continue to refer coworkers here.

Additional services at this facility include the tr | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I began much-needed individual therapy this month at New Mexico Solutions. It has helped my interior life substantially already. I want to mention two qualities that stand out.
The first was what has helped me the most. I have worked thus far with Alexa Brown who is doing a phenomenal job taking me seriously. I struggle with the impression that the people around me do not, on even the most fundamental level, have any respect for me, and, as I unravel myself in order to heal the parts of myself about which I'm most ashamed, Alexa's unwavering validation has been invaluable. I could not have asked for a person with whom it is easier to speak.
The second was the ease by which I have been able to access therapy. I found it surprising that I could manage to fit anything at all into my schedule, given how much I've struggled to access other forms of healthcare since moving to New Mexico. Many thanks to the staff at New Mexico Solutions for making the process easy.

I left a pretty bad review about 5 years ago. I decided to stay at Duke City and have had a few bad problems since. Really bad staff like them messing up my insurance payments and trying to blame me.
But......
This place is a big part of the reason I'm going to be sober for 10 years in August. It's the reason I have take homes and live a normally relative life. The reason I can hold good jobs. The reason I'm not dead in a gutter. So with that being said, things change. I've seen a LOT of change over the years. About 5 years ago a very overzealous counselor finally left, she was a good counselor but far too influential with management and defensive of really stupid policies like the early open access. Like I said things have changed a lot. Groups are optional now. You can do counseling over the phone. Good stuff. Just.. stay on top of any payment plan you have. And I strongly recommend not using private insurance because billing seems to work with medicaid 99% of the time and any time I've tried to use Cobra insurance or private insurance they have screwed it up and I end up on a payment plan. I still never got reimbursed by the way. They must owe me two or three checks over the years but what ever.
My top concern is that I get my treatment. And I do. My counselor calls me. I get my medicine. Things are okay. So i changed my review from a one to a four after 5 years. I think that is fair.
I do wish however that they use a nurse to do the observed UAs. Nothing against the security guards but it feels like I'm in a parole office rather than a treatment center. I'm here voluntarily. I also don't appreciate it when I have legitimate trouble peeing and the workers immidiately go straight for the stick and say "oh well we can just mark you as a dirty"
If you actually look at my record I haven't had a dirty since I started treatment nearly a decade ago. Why would I want a dirty now? I just need to drink some water you fool...
Other than that, things are good. The clinic is in a good space. Best in years. I strongly recommend management take the win and try not to dramatically change things because this is their peak. Best they have been in years. Keep it up. Please. I can't go back go pre pandemic Duke city. I just cant. That was brutal.

The doctors at this clinic are the Best: Lexy, Teresa, and the others whose names I don't know, but the receptionists are the worst. They have no education or common sense when dealing with people. Strange how we come to these places for assistance, for them to extort us, *rob us, Pepper Spray us (at the soup kitchen location, Two Male guards, taking my skateboard (with guys with Machetes?), and one swung on me, and Stole my Skull Candy head phones, *3D SECURITY). Who I called and decided to do nothing, not even return my call?
A Doctor at this clinic told me while I was crying my first time having bed bugs so bad from the shelter I was staying at (*COMPASSION CENTER ☠️), that, "I need to just use the shampoo and stop crying, because she grew up on this side and She had bed bugs in elementary."
While the whole staff laughed at me and made me sit isolated, I've never seen any other person treated this way. I had a brain injury and I had a lot of trauma, thankfully for neuroplasticity and therapy I healed.
But I can't help but think of when you guys made me put my backpack outside of the bathroom cuz that's your guys's policy. And the same security guard who attacked me at the soup kitchen stole my backpack with the only $200 that would have kept me in from getting the bed bugs usually humiliated me over later on. I also was emotional because I had my child at the same shelter with me, just got off a 9-hour shift, and also and bullied that the shelter I was at.
They don't help you, there's some kind of hierarchy politician situation going on, with the resources. They will email you and say if you collect such documents they can get you a hotel voucher, because you have a child and an active restraining order, and the part of their domestic violence program. But every time you get such documents they'll say that you missed the deadline, then wait for you to come by so they can collect your items as you use the only restroom, you've been able to find for a while.
Places like this take more from us and I think they understand, we have to make peace with never having materials because we understand that people behind different positions or in the power to remove those from us. It's never ours anyways, and you make one human step, and upset your worker.
I'm indigenous too, not from this part of Earth, but everyone else I've met, who is worth knowing, understood that.
A bigoted place that only helps people when they're about to get caught, and people so grateful they would never speak of things that they witnessed.
I suffered because of ignorance, and people counting on it being a self-induced, mental state they were dealing with. They have no integrity at all, at first I was thinking why would God have me go through this? But maybe it was so I could be a voice when I heal, it's like the beginning of Texas chainsaw. Just noticed the strange subtle things that don't sit right, and follow that.
Honesty. I'll do it.

If I could give them negative stars i would. DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC. They are nothing but problems and do not care about the patients. In December the overdosed him, then shorted him on his take homes which then had him in withdraw. He continues to try and meet with the counselor and they never hold up to the appointment. Its excuse after excuse as to why the counselor is not available. They wanted him to sit at the clinic all day to try and meet with the counselor. He has a full time job and cannot sit down there all day to try and meet with the counselor. They then make a phone appt and the counselor does not call at the scheduled appt time or calls 2 hours after the scheduled appointment. When he calls he gets the voicemail and leaves a voicemail. Then they accuse him of not meeting with the counselor. He does his UA as asked, but no one documents and asks him to do a UA every time he goes in. This is just a few problems.. Not to mention the office staff is horrible. I can go on and on

My grandson is in here. It took him a bit to adjust. He's been in here for a bit he doesn't like being locked up. But he's been to a few other places before he got here. But this place is way better than the other facilities he's been in. Who is going to like being locked up the question is are you going to learn from it or keep on doing the same thing. Break the rules you come to a place like this one or you go to a juvenile detention center. This place is like a retreat by comparison. They let your parents bring you healthy foods snacks games books you don't get those in other facilities. Especially in juvenile detention nothing goes in.

This is from my experience back in 2021ish. I was 15, in the youth ward admitted for being suchidal. When I was there, it was like a big daycare. I liked the nurses a lot, honestly, they were caring and fun. Place was clean and there was a big tv/play structure outside.
