After getting out of the Marine Corps, I settled in New Mexico and have used the VA facility for over 37 years now and let me say New Mexico truly has none of the finest medical facilities. Throughout the United States, New Mexico has my number one. Vote for the healthcare for all veterans, and I've only been to 2 others lomelinda, California, which is always busy and always slammed for the veterans, and then there's the one on oho street in Tucson Arizona, where I was sent to go by the VA from New Mexico. For special medical treatment that the VA back then do not offer here. But they found me a facility where I could go and get my medical treatment done. That's what I call looking out for a veteran during a tough situation.

It is a government beaurocracy. You must fit the system or the system will absolutely ignore you. Seek the help of the administrators and the intake nurses and carefully follow their directions otherwise you will suffer all kinds of frustrations. Be kind to the little folks. They will help you. The more senior folks are frustrated with the system as well and don't have that much time to assist you. So do yourself a favor and really pay attention to the junior people. Have your act together beforehand. Search the internet and know what you need and what the system can provide. That way unrealistic expectations do not frustrate them as well as you.

The team there is great! I've been on methadone for over 30 yrs and dosed at probably over 10 clinics not counting courtesy dosing. This clinic is one of the best clinics I've been at. I've been going here for 4 years and I have always been treated well! I will say that the newest Director, Robert, is a very good man. He's a very down to earth person, he listens to the clients, and he truly cares about both his employees as well as the clients whom dose here! Since he has become the Director, it's been positive all around. I would also like to give a big shout out to my counselor, Robert M., (a different Robert)! He's an awesome counselor and person as well!! He always makes time to talk with me or any of the other clients!!! And last, but definitely not least Crystal, one of the nurses is an awesome lady! She's super sweet and she always takes the time to ask how I'm doing!! Thank you all for what you do!!! Keep up the great work!!! This is a great place with awesome people!!!

I’m new to both The Evolution Group and in-person therapy in general, but so far the experience has been… lovely. The space is like a protective compound of renovated homes with a central peaceful garden and multiple therapy spaces. It feels safe, comfortable, and thoughtful. The staff have made the process simple… like checking into a spa. My therapist, Crystal, is patient, warm, personable, and genuinely listens. I’ve only had 2 sessions, but all of the worry and anxiety of being in a new environment and situation melted away during the first session. We haven’t started the work of therapy just yet, but I’m optimistic about the journey given the amazing start. Update: Seven months later and I'm still very much impressed. Crystal is a wonderful therapist and a beautiful soul. I'll be honest, the first 4 months felt like a rinse and spin cycle. That's just my experience of the process, but the team there made it easy to be a patient. Something strange... that place feels familiar and safe, like going home (in a good way). I continue to refer coworkers here.

I began much-needed individual therapy this month at New Mexico Solutions. It has helped my interior life substantially already. I want to mention two qualities that stand out. The first was what has helped me the most. I have worked thus far with Alexa Brown who is doing a phenomenal job taking me seriously. I struggle with the impression that the people around me do not, on even the most fundamental level, have any respect for me, and, as I unravel myself in order to heal the parts of myself about which I'm most ashamed, Alexa's unwavering validation has been invaluable. I could not have asked for a person with whom it is easier to speak. The second was the ease by which I have been able to access therapy. I found it surprising that I could manage to fit anything at all into my schedule, given how much I've struggled to access other forms of healthcare since moving to New Mexico. Many thanks to the staff at New Mexico Solutions for making the process easy.

I have consistently had a positive experience at the Northwest Metro VA Clinic. The staff here is very thorough and efficient, making sure that every visit is handled with care and professional attention. While some team members are exceptionally friendly and outgoing and others are a bit more reserved, everyone I have encountered remains focused on providing quality service. It is a well-organized facility that operates smoothly, which I truly appreciate when navigating my healthcare needs. The clinic is conveniently located at 1760 Grande Blvd SE, and the environment feels clean and respectful of the veterans it serves. I left a pretty bad review about 5 years ago. I decided to stay at Duke City and have had a few bad problems since. Really bad staff like them messing up my insurance payments and trying to blame me. But...... This place is a big part of the reason I'm going to be sober for 10 years in August. It's the reason I have take homes and live a normally relative life. The reason I can hold good jobs. The reason I'm not dead in a gutter. So with that being said, things change. I've seen a LOT of change over the years. About 5 years ago a very overzealous counselor finally left, she was a good counselor but far too influential with management and defensive of really stupid policies like the early open access. Like I said things have changed a lot. Groups are optional now. You can do counseling over the phone. Good stuff. Just.. stay on top of any payment plan you have. And I strongly recommend not using private insurance because billing seems to work with medicaid 99% of the time and any time I've tried to use Cobra insurance or private insurance they have screwed it up and I end up on a payment plan. I still never got reimbursed by the way. They must owe me two or three checks over the years but what ever. My top concern is that I get my treatment. And I do. My counselor calls me. I get my medicine. Things are okay. So i changed my review from a one to a four after 5 years. I think that is fair. I do wish however that they use a nurse to do the observed UAs. Nothing against the security guards but it feels like I'm in a parole office rather than a treatment center. I'm here voluntarily. I also don't appreciate it when I have legitimate trouble peeing and the workers immidiately go straight for the stick and say "oh well we can just mark you as a dirty" If you actually look at my record I haven't had a dirty since I started treatment nearly a decade ago. Why would I want a dirty now? I just need to drink some water you fool... Other than that, things are good. The clinic is in a good space. Best in years. I strongly recommend management take the win and try not to dramatically change things because this is their peak. Best they have been in years. Keep it up. Please. I can't go back go pre pandemic Duke city. I just cant. That was brutal.

This treatment facility is top notch! The admissions team made me so comfortable while I was working to help get a family member help. They answered all my questions thoroughly. Fortunately my family member decided to go to treatment and I couldn’t be so grateful! Thank you Kandi for all your hard work!
