Zia Recovery Center is not just another stop in the revolving door of treatment centers. It’s far more than a simple detox or a temporary break from life — it’s a true lifestyle shift and a powerful introduction to the recovery journey. Zia helps integrate the steps of AA/NA into real, daily living, making recovery both practical and sustainable. Personally, it has been one of the most impactful experiences of my life. Recovery is a major part of my story, and because of that, the foundation of Zia — and the incredible men and women who built and uphold it — will always hold a special place in my heart. If you’ve tried to quit but haven’t been able to make it stick, if you’re worn out by the way things are, or if you’re just ready for a real change and a new way of living, I highly recommend Zia Recovery as a place to start over. It’s the only program that truly worked for me — it got me back into the boat of recovery when nothing else could. For me, and for countless others, Zia has proven to be the last house on the block. 👊 Thank you to Ryan, Daniel, Bill, Martin, Krista, and Ruth — and to the others who live and breathe this program and lead by example every day. Because of Zia and the tools of recovery being implemented in my daily life, I am still strong and active in my recovery today. Mike J 4/23/24

Las Cruces Veterans Clinic is out in Las Cruces, New Mexico. It’s a branch of the El Paso VA Health Care System, which has a few locations in the region. They specialize in behavioral health care services for veterans, military members and their families, including addiction treatment. Here, you’ll find outpatient programs to help you overcome
Excellent care by all the VA health system, but the phone system is not a good system for contact. and the VA system as a whole is a wreck for the veteran. The VA as a whole has the idea that if they can deny claims long enough you will die and they will not have to pay for your claims. As for the health system itself, it is A number 1.

For anyone struggling with mental health issues I highly recommend Mesilla valley hospital. I have been to this hospital to get myself som support for emotional and psychiatric issues. It has been a wonderful place for me to go when I am at my lowest ! I'd really love to give a special shout-out to one of the staff members there. JACOB, you are always so comforting to talk to when I need advice. Your classes have meant a lot to me and really touched home in a very unique way. I feel like you can relate to so many of us even if you've never gone through the same things we have . Thank you for everything a million times over 🙏 On a very small side note. If you all could just turn down the A/Cs in the unit a little bit it would be so helpful to the patients. We are always cold . Thank you 👍

Vanessa..Marlene..Patrice..Aaron..Lexi..Amber..Michelle..Kendall...Rick..Jonette and the entire staff including each and every employee at Mesilla Valley Hospital were very effective in my process for achieving my steps in the PHP program...they all genuinely and sincerely put their all in listening whole heartedly to my concerns for wanting to change and become that change that I was needing wanting and looking for...beyond understanding patient and gentle to my fragile state..it takes a rare and unique group of individuals to be compassionate about being invested 100% in the troubled lives of others and honestly want to help them because they actually want to help people...which they did and do...in this world and in these times that we are currently living in it is a God send to have true and trident people you can run to...trust...learn from and feel at home with...I will never forget what Vanessa and the entire staff at Mesilla did for me because they truly care about the work they put in to help others find their way back to normality and above the norm not just because it's a job...I will miss the Mesilla family when I graduate..but will stop by from time to time because they are family now...not only will I recommend MVH and the wonders it did for me I will preach it's positive and productive results of others and in my life as well 🙌 THANK YOU ALL SOOOO MUCH!! sincerely Salvador "Steven" Cobos with LOVE LOVE LOVE...

We said goodbye to my father at MVH. This is one of the hardest things to go through but we did so with the help and guidance of an amazing end of life team at MVH. Every person we came into contact with both medical and administrative treated us with kindness and dignity and took care of our needs and most especially my dad’s care. Please be assured that there is not a better place to help you through this process. We cared for my dad for 6 years at home and I am so grateful that his end of life time was in the care of this amazing team. Thank you Mesilla Valley Hospital.

The building is not ADA. The handicapped parking is not kept free from unauthorized vehicles so that disabled people can use the spaces. There is no security. The rules are not enforced. Disabled people are at risk of being stepped on, shoved, treated disrespectfully, and climbed on by people going the wrong way in the one way hallway with no one to tell them different. The handicapped restroom is sometimes non accessible. This place has been contacted by Disability Advocates of NM on several occasions, but refuses to comply.

Honestly, there is no need to say names because the staff members know inside their hearts who am I talking about. For those two people, just basic questions people are asking seem like an offense and a burden. They need to be taught manners and how to be diplomatic when dealing with clients, or else they will loose their jobs

I was visiting family there and one of the nurses there, Samantha I believe, or Sam, was very kind and funny. And genuinely seemed like she cared about the children and patients there. She was really helpful and made the experience there a pleasant one. I had heard not great things about the place and that the staff was rude and uncaring. But she surprised me by how good of a person she was. It made me feel more relieved about having a family member there with someone like her around.

My boyfriend is currently a patient at this facility. He tells me stories about his stay when he calls me. He was supposed to get discharged today according to Dr. he did not get discharged, why lie to your patients??? Dr shows up late and sometimes doesnt show up at all to speak to his patients. Next, the food he says the food is good if you are hungry but it is the same thing repeatedly why not have a variety??. I am only giving this review 5 stars because of certain techs/nurses. In his words "ISMAEL is great and treats us like people but unfortunately he only works during the week. Weekends are different techs and nurses, PAUL is great when he passes out our medicine he interacts with us and asks how our day went, ALEX is a cool guy he jokes with us and tries to make our day go by good, he wakes us up respectfully, and always gets things done, he speaks to us about our day and knows what to say to make us feel better, he cares about us even though he always is serious hes a cool guy, his partner though MAT is rude and makes us feel like a bother he makes faces to us when we ask for something like towels to shower or to change the movie he is just plain rude to us. VICTORIA is amazing she cares about us and our well being she speaks and jokes with all of us, she is able to speak to us and get our minds right if we are upset or sad, she encourages us to interact with group therapy and other activities and not just stay in our rooms asleep, for me that was great because I felt good after gym." Thank you to these techs/nurses who are trying to make a difference and care about your patients, there are not many of you!

I have cancer they have denied me all treatment for cancer. I have actually issued me ibuprofen for tumors and cancer pain..idiots! There are no doctors there only NP nurses who called themselves doctors. NP doctors have less than 5% training of a medical doctor. They have denied me all treatment for medication since December 2021. I live in excruciating pain from all these tumors riddled throughout my body and El Paso VA medical center staff actually laugh at me when I ask for help and send me away. This place is so unprofessional and so bad I had to fire them and they sent me to Albuquerque over 440 miles away from my home. Originally my first Cboc is less than 3 mi from my home. If you have cancer or need help do not go there they will do nothing for you and say you're the problem... I’m new to both The Evolution Group and in-person therapy in general, but so far the experience has been… lovely. The space is like a protective compound of renovated homes with a central peaceful garden and multiple therapy spaces. It feels safe, comfortable, and thoughtful. The staff have made the process simple… like checking into a spa. My therapist, Crystal, is patient, warm, personable, and genuinely listens. I’ve only had 2 sessions, but all of the worry and anxiety of being in a new environment and situation melted away during the first session. We haven’t started the work of therapy just yet, but I’m optimistic about the journey given the amazing start. Update: Seven months later and I'm still very much impressed. Crystal is a wonderful therapist and a beautiful soul. I'll be honest, the first 4 months felt like a rinse and spin cycle. That's just my experience of the process, but the team there made it easy to be a patient. Something strange... that place feels familiar and safe, like going home (in a good way). I continue to refer coworkers here.

Thank you 👍

I absolutely love my doctor, my counselor, and the rest of the staff. Everyone is friendly and professional. They celebrate and support you every step of the way! Good days, bad day, and all the days in between I’m glad that I chose ALT Recovery for my recovery process. They’ve been helpful, kind, offered resources left and right, and have gone above and beyond what I ever expected when I decided to enter treatment.
