I came into this clinic during a relapse. I had 3 years sober in and fell off. Well , today 11-4-25 I have roughly 9 years of sobriety in. This clinic and (Jim) my old counselor helped change my thinking and save my life. Stopping dope will never keep someone sober , however if you can also get the addict to change his thinking as well miracles can happen. When I started going to the clinic I would get high on pretty much whatever I could get my hands on. I was terrible. I didn't care who I hurt as long as I could get high. But then I found out about the methadone clinic and I called them reluctantly I wasn't even sure I wanted help but I knew I needed belp. So I went to my intake and I started going to the clinic and ever since then I have been drug free.My life is completely different now. It is weird how much you can miss by being in a fog of drugs. All I know is that if I hadn't started going to the clinic I would most likely have ended up dead, either killed or o. d. If you are looking for help and want to use the program I suggest that you go the the methadone clinic in Mt. Pleasant mi they will give you the help that you. Need to get your life right and they will treat you as a person and won't. Look down on you I am very grateful for all that they have done for me

So there will always be those people who weren't ready so they throw shade on the program but o well as for me, 4 years ago this program saved my life, and since then I had gained my life back, along with tools money can't buy, and I also am now an employee, a recovery coach and staff on duty person. This place changed my life. I was there from 2006 to 2008. From age 16-18. While the beginning of my stay wasn’t very pleasant, but after I started to work my program and followed simple rules, I was able to graduate the program and change my life for the better. I was Here back in 1995 to 97 as a teen. There was maybe 2 staff who seemed to really care about. These used horrible shaming and demoralizing tactics to get us to comply to rules. As a Licensed social worker now I truly Hope they have adapted a trauma informed approach and work to heal and provide a safe place for youth. …..my star review was more of a way to post a review and share a success story. Not all of us kids in the home did bad we just needed love.

I went to this office for an evaluation in December of 2021. I saw Dr. Gerard Williams. I understand that there are a lot bad reviews. However, Dr. Williams was AMAZING! He was funny, personable, and never made me feel judged. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Williams. This man is very knowledgeable and compassionate. He truly wants to help his patients.

Liiiisten, I KNOW Lapeer Mclaren has their issues. But I want to give a HUGE SHOUT OUT to the nurses Autumn, and Haley, his nurse practitioner (Shannon? Maybe? Cute short purplish hair) And the male physician on shift this am (10-15-25). They did fantastic with my 4 year old. Sweet as pie, made him comfortable and helped him stay calm in all the crazy! Haley gave him a light up whale, and autumn came full force with smiles and stickers. Thank you all for helping me keep my son calm and comfortable. You are all really great. I know lapeer isnt super prepared for children but I appreciate the staff making him comfortable and being so very helpful.

I don’t think people consider the mental health crisis going on, and that a community office like this is going to have longer wait times. But I’ve been coming here for a few months now with my child. The nurse has been nothing but sweet to us. And takes the time to answer my questions as well as follows up with concerns! The nurse practitioner dose run late sometimes (10-20 mins MAX) and is done through video chat at the office. Which is fine! Video has always been clear and I don’t understand why someone would be upset about him over explaining medications?! It should be that way! And I personally respect that, he does take a while to get into but again. It’s a community office with large case loads! Front desk staff is very friendly! And returns calls promptly! Our therapist is great and really works with our family! And once the ball gets rolling which is going to take time appointments and visits get better. This office looks newly updated and clean from what I’ve seen thus far!
