Catholic human services has great resources as far as Personal counseling family counseling & therapy. They accept almost every insurance. They also work with people that are a lower income base. The office is very friendly and welcoming. Clean & professional atmosphere. Even though they have Catholic and the title of their name, it is not based with religious counseling unless that is something you personally ask for.

I was court ordered outpatient therapy to talk with a counselor threw CMH named Ryan. I can't speak for the other counselors here but he asked questions and listened and responded the meetings seemed short he was very helpful. I would use CMH without a court order.

I stayed at the Sunrise center years ago, I think 2010. It was helpful, it was what could be taught about addiction. I am happy i went, because it took me out of my element . Looking back there's really no antidot to addiction. What keeps me sober today is knowing i could be poor and helpless if i want. Or i could have everything i want out of life. It was a matter of taking the high road.

Sad to see these poor ratings. My husband was airlifted by helicopter as pictured, today. He has been here 3 times for heart and trauma issues. Honestly, they triaged him immediately and ER Dr. Dan explained everything to me. You must understand this is not a high level trauma center and they have to assess if you go to higher level ER. They have always airlifted or ambulanced my husband to Midland; a higher level. I was here for a possible post op blood clot in my leg. They ultrasounded it and declared the cast was way too tight and referred back to the surgeon. All calls made were accurate and they have saved my husband's life literally a few times. Staff was very kind. Chaplain Laura took me in a room to pray with me. What a difference that small gesture made on my anxiety level. I pray Midland takes as good of care of him. Update: Copter touched down in Midland at 3:30pm; husband was assessed, tests done, to OR and in recovery (ordering a sandwich) by 6pm. He had an aneurysm. Thank you Alpena MyMI ER dept! God bless you all.

One year ago, I would start my day violently sick & wishing for the suffering to stop. TODAY, I am counting down two weeks to ONE YEAR CLEAN. Maybe you're in the same shoes. Stay at an absolute bare minimum a week, it then gets much easier to claw your way to 30 days. Embrace the LOVE you can find on here. Be honest and unashamed. Say what you think, what you're going through, but more importantly LISTEN, be open-minded - that's how to get the most out of your time here. The place is not bad/fine/good. You have a clean room, bed, and facility, showers. Some of these other reviews mention amazing food: this is no five star hotel. What do you expect? For the staff, some have a little more patience and empathy than others, you can pretty quickly pick out who's been 'through it' and who hasn't. Advocate for yourself respectfully and you will be heard, everyone I've ever met there has been only focused on helping. But man... Be KIND. Kind and respectful and I promise you will get nothing but the same back. It's not gonna be for everyone, that's your call. Some of it is tough love, but that's how recovery works. If you want help you can find it here. I'm no expert; while one year is awesome, I still have my struggles - but I have the lifelong skills I learned with BRH to help me through. I truly owe my life in part to Bear River, and ALL of the staff there. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart! I wish I could name names, but special shout out to my counselor and a few members of staff. Hope you know you rock. - Casey, Or B

I haven't taken a pain pill or 15 at a time in the 6 years I have been here. The staff for the most part is great and I never feel looked down upon. A family member was treated here. I went and visited during visitation hours. The staff I met were very kind. He had said the same. He got help not only with present recovery but tools to help him stay sober. They also helped him with his next steps like getting into a sober living. They inspired him to one day become a sponsor himself. He enjoys most of the company he had there. I enjoyed that Monday through Friday he would get his own personal phone for twenty minutes to make calls and texts from. It allowed me to send him photos to keep him involved. When I couldn't make a visitation they tried their best to accommodate and do a brief video visit instead. All around they greatly cared for him presently and his future. They even helped with transportation to the sober living. The only negatives were that sometimes you don't always get a very good roommate and theft happens. Plus the food wasn't always great he said, but you can't please everyone all the time with every meal when you get that many people together. I would suggest having more options during meal times though, possibly a microwave and some ramen or something for those who don't like whatever is served. Overall this place really helped him grow. I can't wait to see what the rest of his future brings for him and our family.

I walked in there todafter being a patient there for many years beforehand I left there because of there no benzo, no marijuana policy unless you see a professional. I have been diagnosed with PTS depression. Anxiety. I've had a lot of stuff happen in my life and the Doctor there doesn't like to put herself. In the other person's choose, it seems like she hates her job. Everybody else there is fine. I have 100 respect for Sacred Heart. They saved my life at 1 point of time period I want, but when it comes down to it's up to you to make the choice. Period. When I went in there today, I had all my paperwork for what I would need to show them what I'm taking from another doctor or a psychiatrist, and let me tell you I showed everybody. I even took a drug test, the blood test.Everything I told everybody there that I was prescribe benzos for my depression and p t s d and all the above . And the last doctor I had that prescribed me suboxone , refer me to my psychiatrist that prescribed me my xanax. And LA Miko. For depression. No I know better to ever go into Sacred Heart and get help because once somebody doesn't like you, they will never like you. The lady even had the nerve to say. Don't get offended if I don't say hi to you in public. Because we both live in the same neighborhood. Go figure period but I really wish it would have worked out.I was looking forward to seeing some of the old faces and go through some new experiences. If it was possible I would go back but I would not want to see her. She is biased, doctor KI am sorry, but you are biased against me and you know it. You have some nerve to tell me you're going to call My psychiatrist and my doctors when you give out some of the strongest medication on earth suboxone, and methadone, and you're gonna give me a hard time about what I take period do you know how hard it is to get off of methadone? And you prescribe it to people I mean, you talk about xanax. What about methadone and Sebastian? How hard it is to get off of each one of those. I would rather go through a detox of xanax, then Sebastian any day. And I bet anybody that's reading this right now would agree. Again, I am sorry, but I am telling the truth. I have never gone into a place that was so disrespectful to somebody because of how they feel about that person. When you are a doctor you're supposed to treat everybody equal. Not be biased against somebody, because You have an issue with what they are doing when you don't even know what that person's been through, I don't get to sit at a desk and talk to people through a camera and get paid, I have to go out and earn my money climb trees, do side jobs work, my But to the bone. And I don't know what that like. I said you never know what the other person has been through and why they are on the medication. They are on period period nothing elmethadone and suboxone is not the only cure for everything. And I was told I could come there and be prescribe my medication and not have a problem, but Dr. Kay, she has a big problem with people that is prescribed benzo's that are trying to get help with. Sebastian or methadone so dumb period now.I can see if I was trying to get on methadone while being on the medication , I am on from my legal physician psychiatrist that diagnosed me . Methadone is a very dangerous combination with xanax, not after taking suboxone. For 12 years, xxxanax does not affect me like that at all without it. I am miserable, I am a nervous wreck. Like I said, you don't know what I've been through. I don't want to share what I've been through on here because it's bad. The things that happen to my family and friends and me scarred my life forever, and now that I know I can't walk into The building that I always trusted Sacred Heart on 12 mile. The quinder madison heights scars scars me a little more. Over the years of me trying to get clean. Those people watch me grow up period not that doctor necessarily but the other coworkers. I have a lot of respect for a lot of people that work there but I do not her . Is very biased

This place is a pill mill i do not suggest going to this location to get clean and stay clean. The whole facility is crooked. They just let anything fly. 4 out of 5....office woman leaves alot to be desired. Mrs. Kelly or Kelly in the Office is very disgruntled....she gives myself and my son a hard time at every turn. He had a Dentist appointment and needed to check out a bit early to make the appointment. I told him just notify the office. She insisted my grown son....(18 yrs old.....can sacrifice his life in this nations military.) have me call and tell them. When he tried explaining his age of 18 makes him an adult.....she tried to tell him.."Your father files for you on his taxes"......NOW WAIT JUST A MINUTE.....what do my financials have to do with a grown mans ability to tell someone when he has to leave early or otherwise? I had to call the School Board and speak to the super attendant....who was appalled at the thought of this woman mentioning a parents financials. The superintendent was great...everything done. So today I asked my son to have my name removed from the automated call list. He is 18 and has been since December. He needs these calls and reminders ...on snow days, half days, etc. I dont need to be called at work for simple reminders that are rather frequent...and border on spam. So he goes in the office today to return a book and have the phone thing rearranged. At which point Ms. Kelly or Kelly or Mrs. Kelly starts right off again with refusing to change it. Again my son reminds her of his age and she ...AGAIN brings up my taxes and who pays what to who. SORRY PARENTS TAXES ARE OUT OF BOUNDS AND ARE IRRELEVANT TO A RESPECTABLE GROWN MAN CHANGING HIS EMERGENCY CARD INFO. This woman not only sits in the office behind a desk at my sons school...and talks to parents with complete disrespect and an awful nasty tone....NOW ...how do you think she is speaking to our kids? The folks in the office need to re-evaluate her position desperately...power trips are not student friendly....these young adults have alot on their plates...and having a young lady treating them badly isnt helpful to attitude or environment...they are turning 18 and being expected to pay taxes, get jobs, enroll for the DRAFT , and be responsible adults. The folks at the schools should be teaching respect, responsibility, and encouraging them to be capable young adults.....THAT DOESNT HAPPEN WHEN YOU TREAT THEM LIKE 7th graders!! If you want these young folks to stay in school speak to them with some mutual respect...AND THE PARENTS....and things will be more comfortable for everyone. Dont sit in that office and talk down to folks and be condescending to parents who call. So again...I called the superintendents office. We spoke about the same things as last time....all is good. My question is...if she is this difficult for the parents and kids to deal with ....over something as simple as changing a few phone numbers around.....one has to wonder how many other road blocks her poor attitude has created for these kids. If he stands up to her in the office and insist she does what he knows should be done without issue....then he gets suspended...so she just talks to them however she sees fit....and the parents too. I will be preparing for a future school board meeting at which point Ms Kelly will be the topic of my time allowed. Unacceptable behavior from an a public employee ...who is suppose to be teaching and leading kids in positive, productive manners. My son has excellent attendance..if not perfect...also is A, B Honor Student...and has 2 jobs and pays taxes...he is literally her PEER. She is no more an adult than him. She works no harder than he. She has no moral right...or legal right to be so rude inconsiderate and disrespectful to anyone for any reason. I am hopeful...at least for other parents sake...that the position gets filled with someone who is a social butterfly and that can treat folks in a nice positive manner....that smiles and does what she can to help parents and students alike. Thats what it is suppose to be about. #TEAMWORK #RAISINGTHENEXTGENERATION #KINDNESS #HELPFULNESS #APPRECIATIVE

I was here for a year, the teachers are decent and depending on who you have they can be super scrict with phones. The lunches can be awful but everyone love chicken days. The drama department and library are extremely underfunded and they don't have many electives. Most of the work is pretty easy but the Senior Project is murder. Lots of people who love the Hard Rock genre so if you like that then you'll make a ton of friends.

This place saved my life. The people are literally like family. They care and you know they genuinely really care. I’ve never been treated like I’ve been an addict for 30 years, they are compassionate and treat me with such ❤️ I’ve never been successful in sobriety until I met Dr Robinson and his staff. If you need a little time on some of your payment they will work with you within reason. Becky Brian and Lindsey always have a smile when they greet you. And I actually look forward to my counseling because Pam is honestly a friend who cares. She’s so easy to talk to and always there for me. And if you have to go drop it’s always a joy because she’s one of the sweetest people EVER 🫶🏻 I really appreciate all of them and owe them my life ❤️ Thank you so much Recovery Unlimited for helping me sustain sobriety. 😊
