Catholic human services has great resources as far as Personal counseling family counseling & therapy. They accept almost every insurance. They also work with people that are a lower income base. The office is very friendly and welcoming. Clean & professional atmosphere. Even though they have Catholic and the title of their name, it is not based with religious counseling unless that is something you personally ask for.

I was court ordered outpatient therapy to talk with a counselor threw CMH named Ryan. I can't speak for the other counselors here but he asked questions and listened and responded the meetings seemed short he was very helpful. I would use CMH without a court order.

For isolation of area clinic does great. In a sweet location too honestly. Wish the American legion was near the pier too. Most things you will have to travel for, but that also makes sense so do normal civilians to see any major specialists.

The Sunrise Centre remains the only rehab center in Alpena. The staff are trained consistently, and they also stick to a strict policy. Most of the negative reviews are due to people not getting along with staff. Due to the nature of this center, if you do not follow rules then you will not do well here. This is a structured enviornment and the staff are wonderful. They often go out of their way to help clients, even when they are not obligated to do so. If you come in negative and with an attitude, you will not do well in any rehab center. The staff can only help people who want recovery and want to lead healthy lives. Remember that with these negative comments, you're getting one half of the story. Perception is everything. If you TRULY need and want help, this is a wonderful place with compassionate staff. But they will not baby you. This is an adult center, and you will be treated like an adult. Also, if you have existing medical issues, you will need to have that handled before you come in. This center is not a medical center and there is a limit to what they can do. They can treat minor things and help with medications, but not super intensive things. Also, you're not allowed vapes here. And you really only need to come in with clothes. They have support for people coming out of bad situations. In short, if you're committed, you will do well here. Recovery is what YOU choose for it to be. Not what the staff say.

I went to treatment here in 2011 - Hands down the BEST experience of my life. When the student is ready, the teachers appear. And they did. I met some of the most INCREDIBLE humans in my life. And I still have them in my life today. Susan, Ginny, Bonnie, Charlie (may he rest in peace), Jay, Valerie, and MANY more that made an impact. The Sunrise Centre gave me an opportunity to find myself and learn how to live again. Building connections with people, and learning that life was going to happen no matter what I did, I just had to learn how to react to it - and cope without using. It was here I found my faithful companion - my Benny, who is still with me today after 14 years (my minpin chihuahuha). I owe it to the Sunrise Centre and the people there who showed me grace and unconditional love and support when I didn't believe in myself. Recovery isn't about the environment or the surroundings - it's about you, and your willingness to change. Sunrise Centre was my vessel and I am grateful it was there when I was ready.

I went to Sunrise to appease my family. I was counting down to my 30days. Everyone was so nice, residents and staff. I was kept busy with meetings and groups everyday. The ladies I was housed with ended up being like sisters, who I trusted with my darkest demons. I felt secure there. My 30 days came and went. My 60, and 90 days also passed. I ended up staying for 120 days, the max I could stay. I left with the confidence and the tools I need to succeed. I love Sunrise!

Worked in hospitals all my life and emergently became a patient at your facility. I've had many inpatient admissions in my life but can say 100% that I've NEVER had better care by every caregiver I had contact with from medical staff, housekeeping, down to the wonderful folks who prepared and delivered nutrition to your bedside. I had a wonderful experience with the Cardio Lab staff and especially Nurse Nicole. Everyone was kind, caring, professional, and made me feel comfortable throughout my visit. Nurse Nicole was absolutely amazing—she was compassionate, patient, and took the time to make sure I felt comfortable and understood what was happening. Thank you to the entire Cardio Lab team for providing such great care. It truly makes a difference when you have staff who genuinely care about their patients!

I want to give a huge thank you to the entire Cardio Lab staff for taking such great care of my mom during her surgery. Everyone was so kind, caring, and reassuring throughout the whole experience. A special thank you to Nurse Nicole! She was absolutely wonderful with my mom and made her feel comfortable and cared for.
