I saw Travis Wasson while I visited, I felt listened to and genuinely cared for. He was easy to talk to and very thoughtful. It was always a nice and calm environment during my few appointments there, and I was treated with kindness and respect.
The receptionist was sweet to me and made bill paying easy, she was very personable. I liked how softspoken it felt, very good for me, being an anxious person. Thank you psychological consultants for taking care of me!

I have been going to AACTC for MAT for 8 years of almost the whole time I've had the same amazing counselor Named Dr Harrison Igwe PHD
I've been with him over 7 years he has worked here. We had 2 awesome Drs that left idk why. But they were great I hear our new Dr is wonderful but I normally see Amanda the PA as she is in on my day I come once every 28 days. I have remained Clean thru this tough time of moving here, personal mental issues CPTSD GAD depression and ya know normal alphabet soup you get diagnosed with. Only difference is mine is all mostly from prior to starting IV Heroin at 26. I am from deep Eastside detroit up to State Fair between Schoeneer & Gratiot. Started at French & Gratiot. Now I have battle grade CPTSD on top.of the PTSD/Trauma from childhood. It's rough. Taking a medicine to keep your disease properly controlled is NOT wrong. Wish I'd have learned that 4 yrs before I have in and tried the Detroit clinics which are a WHOLE NOTHER ANIMAL compared to AACTC. They respect you if you respect them which is all anyone.wants in life. Please come join us and live!!!! It does work if you do the program right and not just as a back up if you're dope sick or your dudes out. Work the counseling you'll never stop til you're ready. Not for anyone or thing. It's hard work but now so worth my life now verses 2004. Ms Ginger RN, Myra RN Jamie RN and the front desk lady Mrs. Terri are the kindest and helpful women around.

I am alive because the Grace and mercy of Jesus. Also MAT therapy. A nurse named Mrs Jamie today was going over a paper list layed down by the computer and she even checked to make sure she had enough methadone I her bottle before she started and she had more than enough. All the sudden she stopped and said hold on she noticed without measuring it that two of my bottles were short in like two seconds. If she wasn't watching as good as that no one wouldn't have believed me. I have painful multiple Sclerosis and she is really good. This place saves our family in so many ways too. Mrs Terry, Mr. Ryan, the doctor she is amazing. I've never been treated so good and respectful at a clinic

A great program with great people i never felt like i was being judged or looked down at all in fact i was surprised by how friendly and kind everyone was and they not only made me feel like they care they proved they do when my partner had a medical issue and the staff handled it compassionately. My counselor is really chill and easy to talk to but also has the depths of knowledge to be able to have really substantive conversations basically a respectable amount of street smarts and book smarts and ability to know when to use which. If you're seriously looking to get help with your opioid addiction and need a good support system, please come here! They treat you like an equal here instead of looking down their nose and treating treating you like an addict.
Coming here has changed my perspective on addiction treatment in the best way! If everyone was more like the people that work here, I think the world would be in a much better, healthier spot. They actually put you above their paycheck and it's quite rare to see in this world. They are practical and work with you as long as you take the program seriously. The counselors are great here and I actually enjoy group. This place has a lot of resources to help you get your life where you want it to be. Not sure why someone has left such a low rating before me..but I have had nothing but great experiences with the mental health services provided by them. I've been struggling for so long and have never taken my mental health seriously until this year.. I didnt even know we had a mental health department in Adrian, but the day I inquired I was given so much information and immediately was given an appointment and everything took off from there very fast. Here I am now months later and still going to my appointments and receiving amazing care and support.
My only complaint is I wish the appointments with your psychiatrists were in person..but I do understand that there are a lot of people needing their help, so they cant be everywhere at once.

I recently went to ARD and the reviews you read are legit. I talked to Laura multiple times before I went and I was really nervous. She made me feel better about going and is super cool. Without her they may not have as many patients. A driver picked me up and took me back to the airport so they make everything pretty easy. I was on oxys then suboxone for 15 years after a car accident and was tired of how it made me angry at times and ruled my life and schedule. It helped contribute to ruining my relationship with my daughters mom and I just wanted off of it now. She was not very supportive either. It is a fast process for the worst of the withdrawals but you will need to follow their program when you get home. Frieda is great and adjusted my meds on the days I called. I've been home a month and I still have low energy and lethargy but I'm working through that with exercise. Laura keeps in contact with me and she truly cares about people. Pat is awesome and we had some great chats. I recommend going here if you are struggling. It wont be easy but if i can do it, you can too. Now I can enjoy my time with my kids and granddaughter. Stay strong and God Bless. Thanks ARD and Laura, you are a rockstar!!

First, I want to say that this review isn’t based on my personal experience, but a friends who isn’t comfortable sharing their name on this platform.
After months of research, he took a leap of faith and chose this center over a similar center in Florida that was double the price. Because he doesn’t have insurance, he had to come out of pocket so this obviously was the more practical option price wise, but also care wise. If you’re paying 5k+ for treatment out of pocket at a facility, you’re doing so because you want to know you’re in good hands and have a staff of people who will be with you through the process. Releasing someone after 24 hours to a hotel room with active monitoring just doesn’t seem right when you’re paying 20k+ for a treatment (the other facility doesn’t accept insurance either). Of course, rehabs want to make money- a business is a business. But that doesn’t mean everyone shouldn’t be treated with respect and quality care. The staff here, on the other hand, supported him the entire time and made sure he got the care he needed. He is 6 months sober now!
The treatment isn’t by any means “easy” but Rome wasn’t built in a day. No treatment is going to be easy to break the shackles of addiction, you have to want your sobriety and to be free. If you don’t want it, no treatment will save you from going back and using. But if you want it, then this place is a no brainer. You will feel some exhaustion, maybe even a lack of motivation but the important thing is to get up and move around. All of that will balance itself out. Take vitamins before and after your procedure, and thank God for another day! I am currently saving up to come here for my own treatment from an Oxy addiction, and will update my review from my personal experience once I have.

This facility is, by far, the best in Michigan for mental health services. Something they offer that I've never received before was a case manager. Helps schedule appointments, checks in every month, arranges appropriate services based on what is most helpful to you, and provides resources on absolutely anything you may need. My case manager Abby even offered to help me on miscellaneous tasks such as going through/organizing paper stacks, basically anything you can think of, they are willing to help you with at the office. Case manager Abby even picked up clothing donations for my children as we had fallen on hard times. She has so many resources and she's been like an angel helping me manage things to make it easier on me so I can focus on therapeutic work. It's quite amazing the service I've received from Easter Seals. The psychiatrist, Dr. Linsk, is the most knowledgeable and caring doctor I've ever had. He takes time at every appointment to listen to me. He keeps up to date on the latest research. He's even been the first to give me new diagnosises that go beyond generalized anxiety, depression, ect. As for therapy, I had the pleasure of meeting the best therapist I've ever had, Emma. Emma has since left as she was an intern, however, my success story continued as I met my next therapist. I've been to at least 6 other mental health centers and I've never been given any other therapy besides basic CBT talk therapy. My first meeting with the new therapist, I tell her I've been working on this same issue for 10 years, she selflessly said she'd like me to try another therapist who is trained in Exposure Therapy as it may be a better help for me. That other therapist came right in to the room with us, talked, and we all agreed to try this and that I can go back to regular therapy after completion. They even offer group therapy but I've not used that service. The therapists here are young and fresh and are educated on the latest research. They have a drive of providing quality care that I've never experienced before. The whole office is the top standard of mental health services. My only adverse experiences have come from the front desk. I am aware of how hard it is to deal with patients at the front desk. They always have to handle the problems and are looked to for a solution. I've witnessed patients not speaking very kindly to the ladies at the front desk, however, I have a few issues with them myself. Any time I come into the office, I wait at the counter behind glass while nobody acknowledges my presence. I listen to their personal stories as the whole waiting room can hear them. Someone from the back usually pops in after me standing in front of the window for 5 minutes and finally assist me. I've been forgotten to be checked in twice. I've had therapists calling me from inside their office to ask if I was coming today as I was in the waiting room well on time. Front desk is probably one of the toughest and lowest paying jobs at the center, however the front desk needs a lot of guidance because their quality does not match the quality of the whole office. The front desk staff brings the whole office score down and I hope to see that change in the future because the front desk is the first encounter for most clients. A lot of people who will benefit from this location may be deterred because of the mishaps. But overall, best service in Michigan. I don't understand the negative reviews as I feel the complete opposite. Especially since I've been told and feel comfortable asking for a change in therapists or doctors if I'm not finding a good fit. Therapy works both ways. I'm sure with the quality mental health providers, you will find a good match. I'm so thankful to have found this location and I encourage others looking for quality care to reach out for assistance. This may just be the last road to recovery of your mental health you'll need to walk. They provide so much support. I don't know how they do it all! Thank you. You've all been angels in my life! :)

I haven't had much luck making a good connection with the therapists, partially my fault for not making more time. But the psychiatrists have truly been a godsend. When I first set my appointment in 2020, I really was on the verge of not existing. Now it's four years laters and I'm days away from a college degree. Dr. Linsk is very professional and goes the extra mile to make sure you get what's needed from appointments and medications don't run out.

Much better atmosphere than the Detroit VA. I've had good success using the Saginaw VA services. Like any other healthcare facility they have good days/employees and mediocre days/employees. I can't complain because I get very good medical care at no out of pocket cost. My friends with only Medicare get much worse medical care. In my opinion many people don't appreciate this veterans only benefit However, likewise, some employees don't appreciate their jobs at VA medical centers either.
