Overall, I have been given great service/care from my primary care provider and care team. The appointments are usually quick and efficient.

Never been in there more than an hour. If that ! Most appointments are very fast & efficient. The girls at the front desk put up with a lot from rude phone calls to rude (Veterans ) patients. In & out . Great service Everytime I've been there. And I prefer NOT to be thanked for my service ! It was our duty to serve and protect. To the man that had or has prostate Cancer. Stop feeling sorry for yourself. Move on , buck up soldier !

I just wanted to say thank you to all the staff I met here. I didn’t know that places like this existed and I’m more than pleased with how I was treated. You guys work with patience, compassion, diligence and all have huge hearts to take on a job like this. For someone like me who had nowhere to turn and nowhere to go this was the help that I needed and I cannot thank you all enough. Keep up the amazing work ❤️

I didn’t think I had time for recovery, but the flexible schedule and awesome staff made it possible! They respected my culture and never made me feel ashamed. Some of the group talks felt a little fast, but I learned so much. My family joined for a session too, which helped a lot. I feel stronger now, not alone.

This facility is, by far, the best in Michigan for mental health services. Something they offer that I've never received before was a case manager. Helps schedule appointments, checks in every month, arranges appropriate services based on what is most helpful to you, and provides resources on absolutely anything you may need. My case manager Abby even offered to help me on miscellaneous tasks such as going through/organizing paper stacks, basically anything you can think of, they are willing to help you with at the office. Case manager Abby even picked up clothing donations for my children as we had fallen on hard times. She has so many resources and she's been like an angel helping me manage things to make it easier on me so I can focus on therapeutic work. It's quite amazing the service I've received from Easter Seals. The psychiatrist, Dr. Linsk, is the most knowledgeable and caring doctor I've ever had. He takes time at every appointment to listen to me. He keeps up to date on the latest research. He's even been the first to give me new diagnosises that go beyond generalized anxiety, depression, ect. As for therapy, I had the pleasure of meeting the best therapist I've ever had, Emma. Emma has since left as she was an intern, however, my success story continued as I met my next therapist. I've been to at least 6 other mental health centers and I've never been given any other therapy besides basic CBT talk therapy. My first meeting with the new therapist, I tell her I've been working on this same issue for 10 years, she selflessly said she'd like me to try another therapist who is trained in Exposure Therapy as it may be a better help for me. That other therapist came right in to the room with us, talked, and we all agreed to try this and that I can go back to regular therapy after completion. They even offer group therapy but I've not used that service. The therapists here are young and fresh and are educated on the latest research. They have a drive of providing quality care that I've never experienced before. The whole office is the top standard of mental health services. My only adverse experiences have come from the front desk. I am aware of how hard it is to deal with patients at the front desk. They always have to handle the problems and are looked to for a solution. I've witnessed patients not speaking very kindly to the ladies at the front desk, however, I have a few issues with them myself. Any time I come into the office, I wait at the counter behind glass while nobody acknowledges my presence. I listen to their personal stories as the whole waiting room can hear them. Someone from the back usually pops in after me standing in front of the window for 5 minutes and finally assist me. I've been forgotten to be checked in twice. I've had therapists calling me from inside their office to ask if I was coming today as I was in the waiting room well on time. Front desk is probably one of the toughest and lowest paying jobs at the center, however the front desk needs a lot of guidance because their quality does not match the quality of the whole office. The front desk staff brings the whole office score down and I hope to see that change in the future because the front desk is the first encounter for most clients. A lot of people who will benefit from this location may be deterred because of the mishaps. But overall, best service in Michigan. I don't understand the negative reviews as I feel the complete opposite. Especially since I've been told and feel comfortable asking for a change in therapists or doctors if I'm not finding a good fit. Therapy works both ways. I'm sure with the quality mental health providers, you will find a good match. I'm so thankful to have found this location and I encourage others looking for quality care to reach out for assistance. This may just be the last road to recovery of your mental health you'll need to walk. They provide so much support. I don't know how they do it all! Thank you. You've all been angels in my life! :)

I haven't had much luck making a good connection with the therapists, partially my fault for not making more time. But the psychiatrists have truly been a godsend. When I first set my appointment in 2020, I really was on the verge of not existing. Now it's four years laters and I'm days away from a college degree. Dr. Linsk is very professional and goes the extra mile to make sure you get what's needed from appointments and medications don't run out.

I was there recently and oddesy house has changed my life I was in and out for four years until something clicked the only reason I left was I didn't have the time to reach lever 4 but I honestly love oddesy it truly is a family Dr tysonis the bomb and Antoine Brown Ms Rochelle and Mr Smith helped me so much in my journey if I was still in flint I would have stayed be my family is app out of Michigan thank God for oddesy house 7 months clean in 7 days which is my record

Not fancy but it did the job for medical detox. Most of the staff are recovering addicts. I felt very safe there. Medical staff on duty 24/7.

So there will always be those people who weren't ready so they throw shade on the program but o well as for me, 4 years ago this program saved my life, and since then I had gained my life back, along with tools money can't buy, and I also am now an employee, a recovery coach and staff on duty person. I think of your an addict and are ready to take your life back, you should show up here, and let us do the rest.

Not been in program here but as a Christian Street Minister and familiar with there program would highly recommend for those who want God to transform their lives!!

Great program! If you or you know of someone who struggles with any issues this is the place to go! God is here and he is helping so many young ,old . It doesn’t matter the issue! God is in control! He loves you and wants to help you. Praise god! Graduate 1998.

Life Challenge is a life saver for me. I’m so grateful to Pastor Jeff Bonzelar and my spiritual mom pastor Sheila as well as the teachers Bro Ken Keane, Bro Bob…and so many others. You have got to want change in your life for this to work. You’ve got to ask God to come into your heart ♥️ and do the work that needs to be done. I was walking around dead in sinking sand and God lifted me up and placed my feet on solid ground. I’ve completed 19 years and still standing for Jesus Christ. I encourage everyone to not let Satan get in your way. If you don’t like this one go find another Teen Challenge or Life Challenge. There are many more. But this was the best one for me. If you come God will plant a seed in you. Just let it grow and grow and grow. And DON’T GIVE UP. BECAUSE GOD DOES NOT GIVE UP ON YOU. AMEN! ♥️♥️♥️

Catholic human services has great resources as far as Personal counseling family counseling & therapy. They accept almost every insurance. They also work with people that are a lower income base. The office is very friendly and welcoming. Clean & professional atmosphere. Even though they have Catholic and the title of their name, it is not based with religious counseling unless that is something you personally ask for.

I was court ordered outpatient therapy to talk with a counselor threw CMH named Ryan. I can't speak for the other counselors here but he asked questions and listened and responded the meetings seemed short he was very helpful. I would use CMH without a court order.

Ryan Brown is excellent! Anyone who really wants to get sober and get their life together would greatly benefit from seeing him.

Amazing place with people who care about you and care about your life. Dashika is amazing and I absolutely adore her. I've been going for almost 6 years. I had 33 broken bones and was told I'd never walk again and that pain meds were going to be something to take daily forever. I haven't taken a pain pill or 15 at a time in the 6 years I have been here. The staff for the most part is great and I never feel looked down upon. If you are ready this place can help you amd they will care about you every step of the way. Building is rough but they really do try to keep it clean and functional. Best group of people I have had the privilege to come to know.

Not helpful at all. I told them the exact thing that was making me depressed and I was told that they weren't qualified to help me in that, and then would not give me anyone who could or any resources. Every visit was a different price and I could not plan a budget around it. Visits felt extremely brief and rushed.

Absolutely amazing staff! Love Heather and Maurice. They have a great residential program for substance abuse. They offer group therapy and one on one counseling sessions. Jeffrey that works in administration is also very caring and helpful in many ways. Anyone I know struggling with substance abuse I refer to DOT Caring Center. I have personally done the detox and residential programs. I have been in recovery since 2015,thanks to DOT and the caring team!

This place will save your life...if you let them! Staff was great... building was clean and no bedbugs ...lol

A family member was treated here. I went and visited during visitation hours. The staff I met were very kind. He had said the same. He got help not only with present recovery but tools to help him stay sober. They also helped him with his next steps like getting into a sober living. They inspired him to one day become a sponsor himself. He enjoys most of the company he had there. I enjoyed that Monday through Friday he would get his own personal phone for twenty minutes to make calls and texts from. It allowed me to send him photos to keep him involved. When I couldn't make a visitation they tried their best to accommodate and do a brief video visit instead. All around they greatly cared for him presently and his future. They even helped with transportation to the sober living. The only negatives were that sometimes you don't always get a very good roommate and theft happens. Plus the food wasn't always great he said, but you can't please everyone all the time with every meal when you get that many people together. I would suggest having more options during meal times though, possibly a microwave and some ramen or something for those who don't like whatever is served. Overall this place really helped him grow. I can't wait to see what the rest of his future brings for him and our family.

Sobriety house help me save my life, it's a on going process, I am 3yrs and 3 months clean and sober, No slips, No dips, and definitely no weekend trips. THANK YOU SOBRIETY HOUSE for loving on me until I learned to love myself.

As a 70 year old man who was doing great from 2000 to 2020 with a proper doctor prescribed methadone prescription that only cost the state $50 per month, I had to move back to Kalamazoo during COVID and found that these awful dehumanizing clinics have a monopoly on methadone ! Since they are charging the state $1000.00 per month to to make me drive there every cold winter morning to get my daily pain med... Oh sorry , that's right ,they don't treat pain. They have to bust my balls like I'm a crack crank fentanyl kid , they have to justify charging the state $1000. Per month. This is not right that I must spend my last couple years on earth being hassled by these criminals

I was super hesitant to even start this process. And expressed it during intake. I paid 170$ last Thursday. Been coming for a week. The way it was explained to me That 170 covered the intake and the whole week And just paid $88 yesterday. I've been coming and getting my dose everyday all week perfectly fine. But now apparently today a week after I started and took my original drug test they just now are getting my levels back. And my benzo levels were apparently over 2000. So today a week later. I haven't been doing street stuff. A whole week. My levels now I would bet anything are no longer that high. I've asked if there is anything we can do to rush the process because to me. They should've had me on observation the whole week. But now a week later they wanna tell me I have to wait 30 minuteseveryday till they gey the new results baxk. This place and the people espcially are shady

Great place to be if your having a lot of dark nights and need some sunrise to wake up to. I met some really mindfulness people and they really do care about everyone there.

I stayed at the Sunrise center years ago, I think 2010. It was helpful, it was what could be taught about addiction. I am happy i went, because it took me out of my element . Looking back there's really no antidot to addiction. What keeps me sober today is knowing i could be poor and helpless if i want. Or i could have everything i want out of life. It was a matter of taking the high road.

Abby Brown is absolutely AMAZING. You don't run into a lot of health professionals anymore that truly listen to you. She goes above & beyond and I can tell she truly cares and is in the profession to help people. If I could rate her higher than 5 stars I would and I HIGHLY recommend her. All of the other staff was incredible as well!

Highly recommended! I had to do this to get a restricted license back after a DUI, and Rick and Ken (I've met with both of them) are both super nice, friendly, easy going, informative. I have to get an evaluation done again for my next hearing for my full license back, and I wont go anywhere else! Apparently they have above and beyond what the state minimum requirements/certifications are, so you wont have any issue if they will hold up in court... they will!

Ken is seriously the best person ever. Prices are fair and every single session I had I felt very comfortable telling him things. If for whatever reason you have to use this place I highly recommend him.

Rick has years and years of experience as a counselor. He truly helps you understand things from a scientific view and connects with you on an experiential level. I couldn’t recommend Rick highly enough, whether it is for relationship issues or substance abuse problems. I saw Rick for my drivers license substance abuse evaluation. He was thorough, and he knows the forms required by the state extremely well. If you are trying to win your life back, see Rick as your first steps and you won’t be disappointed.

kari is amazing! sees me and my sister. she’s very quick to respond my texts if i need anything, helps me by teaching me things not just telling me, she always answers any questions i have. i’ve found out many things about myself since seeing her and it’s the first therapist i’ve actually felt that understands my needs.

I give this place only a 4 star because they make it mandatory to see a therapist on a monthly basis in order to see your psychiatrist. It is a total inconvenience to me having to deal with an unneeded therapist.

My psychologist is very chill, and I like seeing him. The receptionists are always kind.

I have a bit of a story to tell but I want to start it by saying I found Applegate recovery by accident. It was the single best accident of my life I was sober or clean whichever you use and had been since 2016 when I started seeing Applegate in 2018. This place performs miracles. I am living proof.
