Beauterre literally saved my life. It's the exact opposite of what I thought in patient treatment was. The environment is about support, warmth and care while they help you navigate your recovery journey. The staff is extraordinary and the food is great too. I encourage anybody looking for help to consider Beauterre with their amazing property and staff. I really cannot say enough about how great my stay was and how much help I received.

In 2022, I was placed on an involuntary 72 hour hold by another hospital. It was extremely unwarranted and I was threatened with physical violence and had my human rights violated. That hospital sent me to the inpatient facility at Owatonna. Based on the experience at Buffalo, I was extremely standoffish. I was hysterical. I told them I would not speak with them, I would not let them touch me, I wanted to call my family because buffalo would not let me contact my family and they actually trespassed my entire family from their hospital for literally no reason after my family convinced me to just stay and do what they asked. The nurse was taken aback and asked what happened and I explained and she basically said “oh my god, I’m so sorry. We won’t do that here. We’re going to help you.” And something in her voice made me believe her. I think it took a day and a half maybe to talk to the psychiatrist, but he’s the reason I’m writing this review. He released me before the 72 hour hold was up and said he didn’t believe I needed to be there. He joked with me. I even made jokes that other psychs might’ve held me longer for making and when I ended with a “whoops, shouldn’t have let that one slip” he laughed with me and said no, it shows me you have a healthy coping mechanism. He really just talked to me like a human being and that’s not something I’ve dealt with in my 15 years of experience being treated for mental health conditions. He also went out of his way to call my primary care doctor and tell her he thought she was doing a great job with the medication aspect of my treatment, and when I saw her again she was really surprised he did that and said it was really nice. I don’t remember his name, but I wanted to write this review just to give him a little recognition because he deserves it. I’ve met with probably 10-12 psychiatrists in my life and he was by far the kindest, smartest, most human psychiatrist I’ve met.

My husband had to have several blood transfusions. Nurse Mary was the best. She went out of her way to always have what was needed there and ready for us. She also made sure we were comfortable while we were there. I will never be able to thank her enough for how great she was to my husband and me during his last days. I spent almost 6 months at the gables from oct.2018 to April 2019. That place saved My life and changed My life. I'm still in contact with some of the old staff and made a lot of connections with some amazing woman. No cell phone was one of the best ideas. MY mental health has remained stable and I have little over 5 yrs of sobriety. Thank you for changing and saving My life,!!!!!!

The Gables was by far the best treatment I have been to, which is saying a lot as I have been to inpatient 15 times. The staff thoroughly care. They are so compassionate, professional and kind. The food was amazing. I felt safe and was able to process a lot of issues plaguing me for years. They treat the clients with respect and go above. I love this place!

The monthly mandatory group is online now which is amazing I have severe phobias and sitting in a small room of 20 people with potentially catching COVID makes me feel a lot better knowing I can sit at home in a group on camera and my counselor Rob is amazing and genuinely cares so they fixed a lot so I give this clinic a thumbs up. My previous review wasn't too fair I feel like they fixed a lot of the issues that I had problems with which is really good lots of places don't do that and they certainly don't listen to their clients usually and fixing those issues so it's a very nice change of pace to feel like we are heard 👍

Nobody likes to be in the hospital. However if I need to be in, I can only hope it’s Mayo Mankato. They are so focused on getting down to causes and conditions. All staff are unfailingly kind and communicate with the patient and each other. I always advocate for more information, so I can understand and actively participate in my recovery. They do amazing work. They changed my daughter's life for the better. I am eternally thankful! God bless!! think the doctor's here are amazing! The individuals they serve are battling some of the toughest mental health challenges out there, and that reality doesn’t just impact them—it impacts the people walking alongside them in treatment, too. Here’s the part some people don’t like to hear: there are three sides to every story. Yours, theirs, and the truth somewhere in the middle. So before forming an opinion based on a shared post, a comment thread, or secondhand frustration, ask yourself—have you actually experienced this place firsthand? Or are you repeating someone else’s version of events? If you’re going to leave a review, let it be from your own experience. Not borrowed outrage. From what I have experienced, this is a group of people doing hard work, with real care, in a space that most wouldn’t last a day in—and that deserves more respect than it often gets. Have your own experience—and your own opinion. Living through someone else’s doesn’t say what you think it does.

Just go to Rochester if your really sick or got serious health issues... there will just send you to Rochester anyway if you go to Austin... Austin hospital is basically training ground for noobs Er department my opinion. Don't get me wrong but the people who work at the Austin mayo clinic are really nice and respectful people there just trying to help you or in my case save my life .
