I am amazed by all of the amazing therapists and amazing employees that work there. Bless their amazing hearts! The only thing that I will even mention that may be a downfall for them is sometimes if you need any extra paperwork throughout your treatment for court or anything it can sometimes take extra time and I highly recommend that you give them friendly reminders through phone, emails, friendly reminders at the front desk, etc. anyways thank you to the phoenix I know that I will keep them on a list of resources if I ever need a little extra help again! Way to be Phoenix and staff! 🧡

Steps recovery center has saved my life. Corey Blair and Aaron Rodney have been a huge impact to me. Sara Jaron are great technicians . This place is brought me balance peace and a way to love myself. I would also say that I would recommend any drug addict to come here. Every therapist here has given me some inside to my addiction and also helped me understand myself in a way I never would’ve been able to Julie. Jackson got me here. I love this woman. She has saved my life more on more than one occasion.

I can’t say enough good things about Steps Recovery Center. From the moment I arrived, I was treated with kindness, compassion, and respect. The staff truly went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and supported throughout my time there. One of the things I appreciated most was the sense of community. I made some really meaningful friendships, and the groups were honestly amazing. I actually looked forward to going to group, which I never expected! The conversations, support, and connections I made are something I’ll always be grateful for. And I have to mention the food—it was incredible! Having good meals every day made such a difference and was definitely an unexpected bonus. 😊 Overall, Steps Recovery Center gave me a safe and supportive environment where I felt cared for and understood. I’m incredibly grateful for the staff, the friendships I made, and everything I learned during my time there. I would absolutely recommend Steps to anyone looking for a place where they will be treated with genuine kindness and compassion.

I am a graduate of Deer Hollow Recovery’s program. I strongly recommend Deer Hollow for anyone who is ready and willing to do the hard work of healing. Deer Hollow staff are highly trained in supporting first responders and military veterans. Their therapists, chefs, technicians, medical, and administrative staff work in tandem to walk with clients. Due to the unique healing work that we need, the process is not always pretty. I got really upset on a few occasions while at Deer Hollow. The staff gave me room to process and also upheld standards. I appreciate the work that Deer Hollow does. I have my life back!!!

Tl;dr - former student recommends this place highly Spent some time in New Haven before moving to a step down facility. Staff there were consummate professionals who care about the kids. The therapists helped me in ways that I’ll hold forever. Sure, it was a stressful environment with other kids who needed help, but that stress made me more resilient. Just make sure you remind your kid that treatment is what they make of it. Proud to say I’ve come a long way since my first day. I’m in the last year of my JD program with job offers to do corporate law. Thank you to Sara, Rochelle, Courtney, and the Coltons.

I owe New Haven my life. I was at the Teresa house from 2024 to 2026 and though my stay was long it was 100% worth every second. New Haven gave me what I needed to succeed, not what I wanted but what I needed. As always, there were definitely ups and downs to my stay but that is to be expected if anyone is growing and learning. And, I learned so many lessons that will keep me on the right path in life. One of the most important things that I learned during my stay was that I am good enough. That I don’t have to be good enough for others to be good enough for myself. I learned that honesty, even when it is hard, is one of the best ways to achieve a healthy relationship with anyone. This helped me grow my relationship with my parents because the value of honesty is one of the most important ones for our family. The program doesn’t just focus on the kid but the family as a whole. One big thing that they have the families explore is the idea of the problem is the problem. That no individual is the issue but, the actions and contributing factors are. My family and I have been taught how to separate the person from the action in order to move through a problem to get to the other side. There are many important pieces that build on healthy relationships and New Haven gave me the space to figure out how to have those healthy relationships. The staff who work there are truly there for the kids, to help them grow and move through the challenges that come their way. My therapist, Amy is one of the most brilliant people I have ever met. She would tell it to me straight if I messed up, give me advice when I needed it, help me work through my trauma, and have fun with me too. The program also assigns a residential staff to each student called a relational coach. My coach was Lauryn and she helped me work through the dynamics of healthy relationships. She stuck with me through my entire journey even when it was hard. I now have so many people in my corner including Amy and Lauryn who are rooting for me, that I can lean on when I need support. I have lots of tools to use when I make mistakes that can help me bounce back faster every time. I have so many healthy relationships with my family, my peers, the staff, and my therapist. I no longer have to worry about whether I have a future or not, because I now have all the things that I need to be successful in the goals that I work toward. I have learned that it is okay to struggle, that it is a normal thing that happens to everyone, but what counts is how you deal with it. I owe a big thank you to everyone who supported me, all of the employees, the amazing peers, Amy and Lauryn, and the amazing place and community that I have loved to be a part of. They have helped bring my family and I back together again.

My daughter went through the program at New Haven, and I credit them with saving her life. My daughter had some trauma when she was younger and when she started at New Haven, she was self-harming and thinking of suicide. The staff there kept her safe while supporting her needs, and her therapist, Amy, worked with both strength and grace. The program here not only focuses on the kids' behaviors, but also on repairing and making family interactions healthier. Amy pushed my daughter and me to both hold our own and respect the other's boundaries. While neither of us is perfect, my daughter and I are now at a point where we feel like we can talk with each other if issues come up, rather than arguing about it. Prior to her treatment, I was terrified for her future. Now, after her time at New Haven, I have the confidence that she will be able to go into adulthood with an emotional maturity that few possess, and that she and I will have a stronger and healthier relationship.

I came to this place seeking healing. Healing is what I achieved and then some. All staff were very kind and compassionate. Therapists and medical personnel were very professional. The small client # made all the difference at this place. As well as the variety of activities that were offered, whether group or individual.

Maple Mountain has been an absolutely life changing experience for me. I was fortunate to have been assigned Sarah as my therapist. Her support and counseling A.R.T. sessions, thoughtful reflections and her exceptional abilities as a therapist have healed deep and traumatic experiences. Kevin and Vikki have given me a place of compassion, understanding and direction that are invaluable. The food is excellent, fresh and varied. Chefs are talented and accommodating, always going above and beyond. Beds are very comfortable and the facility is impeccably clean and welcoming. Maria in hospitality is warm and friendly offering uplifting conversations and makes you feel at home. And Angel, therapy doggo extradonaire is THE best support dog ever! As a professional in the industry, I had the opportunity to tour this beautiful facility. The staff was very welcoming and provided me with great details about their program as they showed me around the buildings, explaining what they could offer to the adolescents they work with. I loved the "adopt a cat" program and the equine services that they offer to their students. It was clear that their mission was to provide excellent treatment to their clients, aiming to set them up for success upon leaving.

This is a beautiful safe place for women. Danell has helped me with my sister who has struggled the last few years. When I didn’t know how to help her, Danell offered a lot of great advice, especially since she has been through addiction herself. If you are looking for a place that has staff who is genuine and supportive- I recommend this place 100%
