New Day Recovery Residential Addiction Treatment OH 44444

About New Day Recovery Men’s Residential Program

If clients need to detox before they begin their treatment, they can participate in the facility’s medical detox program. In this program, they’ll be supervised around the clock by a team of medical experts. They can also participate in therapeutic activities like yoga and group counseling sessions. Most men have finished detoxing within a week to 10 days.

Their residential treatment program is designed to help clients totally reset their lives. The men will work by themselves and with others to learn new skills and tools that will support their recovery. Some of the services that the men may participate in include individual and group counseling, addiction education, and fitness activities. The same services are available on an outpatient basis for clients who don’t need a program that’s quite so intensive or are ready to step down into a lesser level of care.

Past clients reflect positively on their time at this facility. Some even say that they enjoyed their experience there so much that they hope to come back and work there in the future.

Councilors are great, people tend to talk a lot about other people and families. This is the thing I dislike. I find the people around me need more maturity.

Came through here nearly 3 years ago and am happy to say I am still clean. Place is amazing if you are willing to take some suggestions and not stay in old patterns. Ton of dudes I went through stayed sober a year or more. The ones who complained and threw themselves a pity party while blaming the world for their problems, instead of being accountable for themselves; relapsed. This place gives you every opportunity to succeed, you just have to be to willing.

Horrible for recovery!!! Stay far away. It's run worse than a homeless shelter. Staff is incompetent and the facility is extremely unorganized. If you're serious about recovery do not go to New Day Recovery and/or the PHP program in Newton Falls. Please believe me. It's my duty to help the next.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Outpatient rehabs offer robust wraparound care for clients who are stepping down from intensive inpatient care, with many facilities providing multiple levels of care, including partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), sober living/halfway housing, and standard outpatient programming. Clients may also elect to enroll in outpatient care immediately after completing inpatient detox. Those who are at lower risk of withdrawal complications may also choose to receive ambulatory medical detox from an outpatient facility. Outpatient programs typically involve addiction counseling, recovery education, and/or medication assisted treatment (MAT). Holistic therapies, such as art and music therapy, are commonly available.

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) are designed for clients who need frequent, high-level care but do not require, or choose to forgo, inpatient treatment. Most intensive outpatient rehabs offer a minimum of nine hours of treatment weekly, though clients may receive up to 20 hours of care as needed. These programs typically combine various treatment modalities, including individual, group, and family counseling, medication assisted treatment (MAT), addiction and recovery education, and evidence-based complementary therapies, such as acupuncture and massage.

Rehab aftercare programs are designed to ensure clients receive continuing care while in the maintenance phase of recovery. Some clients may be in outpatient treatment, which is generally considered to be an element of drug rehab aftercare. The specific services provided in these programs are often determined by the client's case manager and care team in consultation with the client. Common services include peer coaching, career counseling, and 12 step program induction.

Many treatment centers base their recovery models on the 12 step programming standard, which combines intensive peer support with spiritual, psychological, and emotional growth. Participants in 12 step recovery programs are expected to regularly attend group meetings, which are free, anonymous, peer-led, and open to the public. They are also required to select a sponsor to guide them through the recovery journey. These programs deploy spiritual principles to foster participants' self-understanding, forgiveness, acceptance, and accountability.

A sober living home in Ohio is often recommended for those completing a drug rehab program. When you leave the structured setting of rehab, returning home can trigger relapse due to the abrupt change in environment. Men's and women's sober living homes act as transitional spaces to continue developing tools for recovery before fully re-entering society. It gives you time to adjust to the demands of life, in a setting that is free from substances.

Intervention services helps family or friends of addicts stage an intervention, which is a meeting in which loved ones share their concerns and attempt to get an addict into treatment. Professional intervention specialists can help loved ones organize, gather, and communicate with an addict. They can guide intervention participants in describing the damage the addict's behavior is causing and that outside help is necessary to address the addiction. The ideal outcome of an intervention is for the addict to go to rehab and get the help they need

During initial recovery, withdrawal from alcohol, opiates, and benzodiazepines can involve high health risk. Attempting detox outside of 24-hour clinical care in Ohio is not recommended. This can be life-threatening because medical staff are not available to treat severe symptoms of withdrawal that often occur. Such symptoms can include seizures, delirium tremens, and extreme dehydration. In a clinical setting, staff are on-site to immediately care for your physical, emotional, and mental health needs.

Medical detox involves clearing your body of drugs and/or alcohol under the 24/7 care of licensed medical professionals. If you've become dependent on alcohol or drugs (like benzodiazepines or opioids), quitting abruptly can have uncomfortable and even dangerous side effects. The purpose of medically assisted detox is to keep you as safe and comfortable as possible during this process. Medications like Suboxone or Vivitrol may be provided if necessary to mitigate any withdrawal symptoms.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Ohio provides comprehensive treatment to address the physical and psychological needs of those struggling with substance use disorders. This may involve inpatient and/or outpatient care.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

The main goals of dialectical behavior therapy are to teach you how to regulate your emotions, develop positive ways to cope with stress, improve your relationships, and live in the moment. This therapy lasts about six months and involves weekly individual and group sessions.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Therapists who apply motivational interviewing in Ohio don't try to confront clients or force advice onto them. Instead, they listen and come alongside clients to help them explore why and how they might decide to make changes for themselves.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Some couples therapy in Ohio is designed as short term treatment to address a specific problem in the relationship, such as anxiety, depression, or addiction. Other couples therapy may focus on general strengthening of the relationship by improving interactions.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Nutrition therapy helps with detox and drug rehab treatment in Ohio. This treatment gives you the skills you need to develop healthy eating habits, which help you recover more quickly and maintain long term sobriety.

When you quit smoking, your body experiences withdrawal because it's not used to the absence of nicotine. When you use nicotine replacement therapy in Ohio, you get controlled amounts of nicotine to ease these symptoms without the negative effects of the other chemicals found in cigarettes.

Men's PHP is absolutely TERRIBLE. The food is not only terrible, it's the same thing every single week and it's barely enough to fill you up if that. The beds are HORRID. They're plastic with no cushion and the springs dig into your back. Way too many clients to too little staff and most of them, not all, busy most are unapproachable and could seen to care less. They bill you 70 a week but won't let you work so once you get to their sober living you're in the hole almost 600 bucks because it's now AT LEAST 45 days more like 60, not 30. Yeah they'll set you up with a job but on top of the 100 a week for rent they'll be taking out of your check they also take 25% of your owed 600 bucks and 50 a week if they're providing transportation (which I understand) but if you do the math after being there two months that's over A GRAND A MONTH they're taking out of your first few checks which are the most important since you're just getting back on your feet. Over a THOUSAND DOLLARS A MONTH! That doesn't seem to be setting anyone up for success. Working a 15$ an hour job and bringing home UNDER 300 bucks a week for two months? Then they want you out in 6. How are you supposed to save any money to get back on your feet when for the first two months you're barely making 800 bucks a month. You used to be able to do community service to offset that but nope not anymore. They're "working" on scholarships but that does nothing for those who are there now that can't do community service or get a scholarship. It's seems like an absolute SCAM to me. I would absolutely NOT recommend men's PHP if you have absolutely ANY other options. Residential in Niles is an absolute GOD SEND. I would NEVER speak a bad word about that place, but Newton falls I would absolutely avoid. It's not like it used to be AT ALL and that's sad because it used to be amazing

Response from the owner
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We truly value feedback from those who have been through our programs because it helps us improve and better support the people we serve.

We’re sorry to hear that parts of your experience in our Men’s PHP program in Newton Falls felt frustrating or discouraging. Recovery is a challenging process, and our goal is always to create an environment that supports stability, accountability, and long-term success. We understand that concerns around food quality, sleeping arrangements, staffing interactions, and financial responsibilities can significantly impact someone’s experience, and we take those concerns seriously.

Our PHP and recovery housing programs are structured to provide treatment, housing, meals, transportation, employment assistance, and ongoing recovery support while individuals rebuild their lives. The financial structure you referenced helps cover housing, utilities, food, staffing, and transportation services, but we recognize that the transition back into the workforce can feel overwhelming at first. Our team works with clients to help them secure employment, manage financial obligations, and move toward independence as quickly as possible.

We’re glad to hear that you had a positive experience at our Niles residential program. Many individuals move through multiple levels of care within our system, and we strive for each step to provide the same level of support and compassion.

Your comments about food variety, bedding, staff approachability, and financial pressure will be shared with our leadership team for review. We are continually evaluating ways to improve the client experience across all locations.

Response from the owner
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

We’re truly sorry to hear that your experience in our men’s residential program did not meet expectations. Recovery is a vulnerable time, and every individual deserves to feel respected, supported, and safe in their living environment.

While residential settings involve shared spaces and structured resource management, concerns about food quality, cleanliness, staff interactions, or overall housing conditions are taken seriously. What you described is not the experience we aim to provide.

We do appreciate your recognition of the counseling and clinical team — they care deeply about the work they do and the people they serve.

Because privacy is important to us, we cannot discuss specific situations publicly, but we would genuinely welcome the opportunity to speak with you directly to better understand your concerns and address them appropriately.

This is an amazing place, and a solid program to work. I haven't had any issues as far as the clinical, and mental health staff, and as far as any other staff, they also are supportive, and are serious as far keeping us all sober. If it wasn't for this place, the alternative would be death, or locked up for me. So thank you New Day, Niles and Newton Falls, for giving me another chance at life and for helping me reestablish a relationship with my family, and being there for my mental health also.
