I had an excellent experience at Portage Path North, especially with my provider Julie Ashkar. She was extraordinary and helped me immensely. She was very professional and efficient. She was extremely knowledgeable and stayed on top of the latest treatment approaches. I felt comfortable asking her about medication changes and was always confident that she genuinely wanted to help find the best option for me, as an individual. She got to know me and listened attentively. When I was struggling with depression she was able to help me get back to a healthier mindset by providing thoughtful, insightful and useful feedback. She even understood my quirky sense of humor and got me laughing quite often! (That truly is good medicine.) I made so much progress under her care that I was able to overcome fears and barriers that had been holding me back for decades. Julie Ashkar is one of the treasured medical professionals who is organized and skilled at following procedures yet still able to create meaningful connections with her patients. Falls Village Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center
My mother recently spent 2 full weeks at Falls Village following a long stay in ICU. She received excellent care. The staff was attentive, very caring, and responsive to all of her needs.
The facility was very clean and well maintained at all times. I visited daily at various times throughout her two week stay and the experience was consistently positive.
The staff was engaged, responsive, and communicative. After the initial care conference, we were updated daily. She received targeted physical therapy. The therapists were patient and encouraging. She made consistent positive progress during her two-week stay.
We highly recommend Falls Village and thank the staff for their attentive support.

As my father slipped deeper into his dementia, it was clear staying at home was no longer viable.
Falls Village took excellent care of him, and the rest of us, as well. What was a new and trying experience for us, at a sad and stressful time, the staff handled calmly and professionally, giving us space to deal with our anger, frustration and grief.
I had my Dad for 12 days shy of 59 years, and treasure every moment of it, even when he was mad at me (like the first time I came home from a paying bar gig with my band-at 3AM on a school night my sophomore year of high school).
