Personally, I loved my experience at Matt Talbot for women. Between the food that was good for a treatment center that is just there to get you back on your feet and the lovely RA’s I felt welcomed and at a comfortable place to restart my life. I believe people don’t realize that once you bring yourself into a treatment center you’re giving your life over to the care of people that are just there to help you get sober, but at Matt Talbot they do so much more than that. I got a sense of family friendship and peer support. I want to give a special shout out to the RA’s Ms.Shannon, Ms.Lacie, Ms.Robyn, Ms.Arnetha, Ms.Ashely, Mr.Jerry, Ms.Gloria and more. No matter what time it was, they were there for me when I wanted or Needed something. If it was someone to talk to when I was feeling down or just a pen to write in my journal if it was a volleyball game to play outside or to listen to music on the speaker, they did it with a smile on their face and no hesitation. Not only were the RA’s Delightful And like a family to me, the counselors and group facilitators were also amazing. To name a few Ms.Dorlene was one of the best people to do groups with, my counselor Ms.Jill Was very supportive and a great listener. Ms.Liandre was also great with her groups and a very strong woman who was fair to everyone and gave us candy. Ms.Erin I didn’t work with personally, but she did a good group with Ms.Jill. Same with Mr.Charlie I didn’t personally work with him but he did a good group and was fun to be around. It was too notch care & its a good place to start your life over & the food was catered/great.. It seems to operate within the bounds of good decent Christian values. I been to a luxury treatment center in Florida & Matt Talbot was even better in multiple ways... I asked a judge to send me there because I said I would leave CBCF whoch is a sham... I went to the ED with vomiting and abdominal pain thinking it was just the flu. The PA Mackenzie picked up on my heavy menstrual bleeding and ordered a ultrasound that discovered the real culprit. A huge cyst on my ovary. If they hadn't caught it and let me know to go to my obgyn it could have ruptured! While I was there the nurses Alex and Stacey were amazing. They kept checking on me and letting me know where we were with my testing and such, which was amazing considering the woman in the next room was asking for a nurse literally every two minutes (my bf and I timed it). Still they were so kind to both her and I and I really appreciate everything they did for me. Thank you guys.

Went to the ER with a foreign object in my eye. Dr Brailer and Dr Akbar were super dilligent in making me comfortable treating the symptons. Both Drs came to see me multiple times and answered all my questions with compassion. Dr Brailler was personable and easy to talk to. He listened to my concerns. I could see Dr Akbar truly cared-and not just going through the motions. Both Drs were gentle and articulate when they had to poke around in my eye. The nurse staff was amazing. The nurse who checked me in was very kind and welcoming. I was then assigned nurse Stacey who so compassionate and was constantly checking in on me. I could tell that she really cared and felt so bad for me and the discomfort i was experiencing. She treated me like a mom. She made the whole experience so much easier. Hope to not have to come back to the ER anytime soon--but if I do I hope its when all these Doctors and nurses are there.

As a former patient and current clientof their program, I can honestly say that all staff members were considerate and understanding of my addiction. I spent 10 weeks in the program from July to September 2018. Upon my release, I was given the opportunity to reside in a sober living home that they chose for me based on my needs. Unfortunately, due to my inability to follow the proper guidelines of recovery, I went back to the people, places and things that they suggest you remove from your past that took me back to addiction. I relapsed in less than 30 days of being released. I reached out again to Matt Talbot and they allowed me to come back for another 10 weeks of programming. In November 2018, I entered Matt Talbot in a broken down state of mind and body and left in December 2018, a renewed and educated woman that fought for her sobriety. I highly recommend this program to anyone wanting to change their life the way it changed mine. Today, I am still clean, sober and loving my life.

4 stars for detox, 1 for woman's supportive housing. Alot of people are there because they have to be, or they have no place else to go, so it's very chaotic. Not a healthy environment for recovery, in my opinion. The gossip around campus is that the higher ups are only about the money, but I'm not sure if that's true. The counselors are great, but there is not enough of them. Two of the nighttime RA's were awful, gossipy, lazy, cold, and unprofessional.

I have a bit of a story to tell but I want to start it by saying I found Applegate recovery by accident. It was the single best accident of my life I was sober or clean whichever you use and had been since 2016 when I started seeing Applegate in 2018. This place performs miracles. I am living proof. I have a life that I can take part in and enjoy now and Applegate recovery is why I have that luxury. If you're thinking about a place please just call, I am so glad I did. These people truly care about every single patient they know you by name they know your backstory they don't forget your backstory and I will say that the best change I've seen over the years started with Applegate and that is it is a forgiving program that works. Outstanding nursing staff. Really can't elaborate enough about how great they were. Moreover, the actual care and treatment were excellent.
I don't think I saw my assigned doctor a single time during my 3 day stay, but the nursing staff made sure I was in good hands and felt safe.
Decent food considering it's a hospital, although they quite literally got every single meal wrong to varying degrees. For instance, one order had 8 items on it, and only 1 was correct.
The showers are awful and extremely cold.
