I have been going to the Akron VA for 4 years now. I have had nothing but amazing experiences from them. They really care about each and every single veteran that walks in those doors. I live 35 minutes from the clinic but its worth the drive. I would choose the Akron VA over the Canton VA any day.

My name is Stephanie and when I was at my worst signature health saved my life. They helped me to help myself and using harm reduction and peer support leaders I got off all of the hard drugs that I was killing myself with. I have been clean off of methamphetamine and fentanyl/heroin for 8 years now. Thank you to the staff at signature health. If you guys didn't have a past with substance abuse yourself I wouldn't have ever trusted you. But your guidance and help saved me. I love you guys. I've used signature health for almost 10 years and have only had 1 bad experience when it came to my psychiatric care, and that was remedied as soon as I spoke with my case manager Dee. I also liked their primary care doctors as well and continued to do so I told I moved out of the area. I still use signature for my psych care, and in my 10 years at Signature health I will say that the beginning was a bit bumpy with case manager turnover but the last 8 years have been AMAZING. I had been working with Doc Wilhelm until his retirement and his replacement Katie is also amazing (I was a bit apprehensive at first but she made me feel at ease) I will say after Doc retired I also opted for a therapist as well and have been pretty consistent this time and I look forward to my weekly appointments with Kearney as well. Please keep up the amazing work!

I wish that I used the help me grow program when my older two were babies. Julie was amazing and she was right at the end of our time together I felt like she was more than just my help me grow lady I felt like she was my friend and she was definitely my confidant.
They also bring supplies to you...including boxed of diapers!! Amazing right 😊
One of the biggest things I was blessed by was this past holiday season they choose- I think one family out of them all -to give a $200 gift card to and they picked me and I was so shocked and so thankful that someone just GAVE me something like that! it was no strings attached they just gave me the gift card and my baby had a better Christmas than he would have because this has been a really rough time for me and I wouldn't have been able to do very much for under our tree. Personally, I loved my experience at Matt Talbot for women. Between the food that was good for a treatment center that is just there to get you back on your feet and the lovely RA’s I felt welcomed and at a comfortable place to restart my life. I believe people don’t realize that once you bring yourself into a treatment center you’re giving your life over to the care of people that are just there to help you get sober, but at Matt Talbot they do so much more than that. I got a sense of family friendship and peer support. I want to give a special shout out to the RA’s Ms.Shannon, Ms.Lacie, Ms.Robyn, Ms.Arnetha, Ms.Ashely, Mr.Jerry, Ms.Gloria and more. No matter what time it was, they were there for me when I wanted or Needed something. If it was someone to talk to when I was feeling down or just a pen to write in my journal if it was a volleyball game to play outside or to listen to music on the speaker, they did it with a smile on their face and no hesitation. Not only were the RA’s Delightful And like a family to me, the counselors and group facilitators were also amazing. To name a few Ms.Dorlene was one of the best people to do groups with, my counselor Ms.Jill Was very supportive and a great listener. Ms.Liandre was also great with her groups and a very strong woman who was fair to everyone and gave us candy. Ms.Erin I didn’t work with personally, but she did a good group with Ms.Jill. Same with Mr.Charlie I didn’t personally work with him but he did a good group and was fun to be around. Long story short if your looking for help to get sober In a clean environment with a sense of family And supportMatt Talbot is the place to go.

I highly recommend if you want a Suboxone doctor, please go to Dr. John. He is the most kindest understanding Doctor, I've been going to him 7 to 8 years got recommended from a friend instead of going through the government where they don't treat you the greatest and care about your well-being he does He's easy going to talk to and I hate going to doctors but if I can rate him 1 through 10 Stars I would rate him 10 stars I would rather go to a doctor that I pay that actually cares for your well-being than a doctor is just going to tell you whatever and the staff. We were able to visit every week and the staff and other men staying at the house were always so kind and welcoming to us. The house and property are so nice and well taken care of. The counseling and therapy as well as the friendships that my family member was able to find through this program was so unique and special, I truly believe it saved his life and allowed him to live a life he's really never been able to live before. He is now an alumni and still continues to participate in AA meetings and alumni events. Every week he is excited to reconnect with the men he met at the house and at alumni events since then. His experience at Prosperity Haven has allowed him to fully understand his substance abuse behaviors and how to find the right tools to handle his urges and temptations. It has saved his marriage and relationships with friends and family. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone who is seeking a place that focuses on both mental health and addiction in a supportive, welcoming environment!!
