Social recovery center. Man.. my life before social recovery center was pure madness , no hope and lost. I was refered to social recovery center by the rehab I was in, I didn’t know what IOP was , I just knew I needed something to guide me in the right direction. Once I walked in those doors , the smiles followed by a warm welcoming hit me. It was all so new to me. The information I’ve learned about myself from the counselors and what I have to deal with is life saving. Once I heard that information , I couldn’t unknow it. The other stories , struggles or whatever that I heard really stuck with me. The way I’ve identified and realized , damn they have it worse. It feels good to be around people that understand my struggle. The support I’ve recived from my counselors and peers were more support than I’ve ever recived from anyone.
