This is the an AWESOME place to go to IOP. I just graduated at the end of February. First of all Bert (the owner) is amazing. He really really cares about his clients. He will go over and above for them. Then there s Sam one of the counselors. Her and I connected right away. She is the absolute best listener. Plus addiction counselor I have ever had. She s so good. I m still going to see her once a week voluntarily. I highly suggest anybody struggling with addiction To come to this, Iop and I truly mean that the staff is just amazing. Also, Judith is amazing too. She usually does intakes and does about once a group a week and has a caseload and she Tells it how it is And sometimes you need that in your recovery. Thanks. Accepted Insurance

New Life Recovery Center works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in New Jersey is the process of addressing the complex issues involved with addiction. Challenges are identified and addressed through individual and group counseling. Participants learn how to manage these issues without the use of substances.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

I started IOP at NewLife back in January & just recently graduated this month. The positive impact it had & made on me .. I honestly don’t think I could’ve done it without my counselor Sam & the owner Bert! From the rip they made me feel super comfortable & not judged. As soon as you walk in they’re nothing but super helpful & supportive. It’s an awesome/wonderful environment & very welcoming with skilled staff. When I started I recently just had given birth & I was super nervous thinking it would be impossible to make it to groups 3 times a week but they gave me the option of doing it through ZOOM which not many places do, right there that was like a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. My counselor Sam created a truly supportive and safe place that helped me focus on my recovery and help make positive changes for me in my life. Highly recommend!!!

I had the best experience here. my counselor Samantha truly cares so much for her patients and was always available whenever I needed to talk to her. and these are not just words, she truly truly cares for each and everyone of her patients. The group meetings were extremely helpful. No session was ever the same. This place truly turned my life around and I highly recommend anyone looking to check this place out. The owner Bert Is also great and makes it very easy on everyone. I have nothing bad to say

I was a client at New Life Recovery Center six years ago, despite their recent public claim to the contrary. Their denial that I ever attended is both untrue and emblematic of the unprofessional culture I experienced there. The program followed a “break-you-down-to-build-you-up” approach that I found emotionally harmful and outdated. Rather than fostering growth and recovery through compassion and insight, the environment leaned heavily on control and humiliation. This approach was not only ineffective for me, but actively detrimental. I’m sharing this now because I believe others deserve to know what they may encounter here. Everyone deserves care that respects their dignity and supports genuine healing. Unfortunately, that was not my experience at New Life. (Screenshot included from their original reply to my previous, deleted review, posted in 2018.)

Who are you? You have us confused with another provider Clayton. When did you attend? You would be in NJSAMS and you are not. Call us 973-728-7788. We would like understand what the issue is and get this resolved.

I recently graduated from New Life Recovery Center and am still going strong in my recovery! As a returning client, (I attended back in 2010) I was welcomed back with open arms and immense support. I made really great lifelong friends with my peers in group and formed a wonderful bond with my individual counselor, Jalissa, as well as the owner of the program, Bert. I also appreciate Drew, who knew how to run the best and most helpful groups! They were patient with me through relapses and always welcomed me back and worked with me until I finally got it right. Stick and stay!!! I am truly grateful for this recovery center!

Response from the ownerInvalid relative date format:
Hi Jaimie! Thank you so very much for the wonderful review. We really appreciate it. We are happy to hear you valued our services and that we helped in your recovery. This is what it’s all about! We strive to take care of our clients and ultimately lead them back to a happy and healthy life. All the best to you!

Skip and Elisa were awesome. I went to this program when I was teenager and it was life changing. They are empathetic and truly as authentic as people can be. I hope to see them in the future so I can thank them to their face for being as amazing as they are.
