Minot, ND | Community Medical Services can help you regain control of your life if you’re dealing with addiction to common opioids like heroin and fentanyl. They offer medication assisted treatment (MAT), counseling and peer support services. This combo helps you conquer your opioid use issues and seize your potential. Community Medical Services is situated | Programs Payment Options | I can’t say enough good things about this clinic and the incredible staff who truly care about their patients and our well-being. I went to BAART Programs in Utah for 12 years, and when we moved to North Dakota, I was honestly terrified to transfer clinics. From my very first phone call with Latoya, though, I felt at ease and was really hoping I was in the right place. She is so friendly and welcoming, both on the phone and in person, and she greets everyone with genuine warmth every single time.
Stephanie, who handled my intake, is absolutely incredible. She worked hard with my insurance and actually got my treatment covered, something BAART never once even attempted in 12 years. I paid $380 a month out of pocket all those years, and BAART never mentioned they could even try to bill insurance. Stephanie’s dedication and persistence changed everything for me, and I will always be grateful.
My counselor Paige has been so kind, professional, and truly invested in helping me make positive changes. She listens, supports, and encourages in a way that makes a real difference.
The two nurses here have also been amazing from day one. They’re always so kind, caring, and easy to talk to while preparing my medication. They work so well together—an incredible duo that brings comfort and consistency to every visit.
The office manager has also been wonderful. Every interaction I’ve had with her has been filled with kindness and respect, not just toward me but toward every person I’ve seen her help.
And then there’s Georgia, the clinic’s medical provider—truly phenomenal. She is dedicated to every single patient and genuinely cares about our progress and well-being. She listens, understands, and wants the absolute best for each of us. I never experienced this level of compassion or individualized care in my 12 years at BAART.
I am someone who truly understands the difference between a staff who offers genuine care and a staff who treats patients with judgment or indifference. I’ve been in clinics where people were made to feel like a stereotype or just another number, and I’ve also experienced care—like here—where patients are treated with dignity, compassion, and humanity. This team sees each person as an individual deserving of respect, and they understand that addiction and dependency affect all kinds of people from every walk of life.
I have been on MAT for 13 years now, and this past year at this clinic has been a far better experience than the first 12 years in Utah. The staff at Community Medical Services in Minot has been absolutely incredible—true advocates who genuinely care about our success, stability, and health. I am so grateful for this clinic and every single person I’ve come in contact with. I cannot say enough good about them. They have changed my life for the better.

My wife transferred here and was so impressed with the whole staff from the receptionist to the doctor that I eventually transferred here too. This place has been amazing! They worked with our insurance to pay for our visits and medication. We live about 2 hours away so they work with our schedule so we can both make our appointments at the same time. I truly couldn’t be more satisfied with CMS and the people who work there. The entire staff treats us like family. Highly recommend anyone looking for care to set up an appointment with Georgia and let the staff help you too.

Minot, ND | Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch is a Christ-centered residential treatment and educational center for children and their families. We help the most troubled, complicated and amazing kids by providing best-in-class psychiatric therapy and trauma-informed care, where we look kids in the eye, walk with them, and help them become their best selves. Dakota | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Thirteen years ago our son, in his mid-teens went to DBR and spent 8-9 months there. The ranch, at that time, used a clearly defined system of rewards and consequences. If they followed the rules, they earned points; if they broke the roles, they lost points. The boys were assigned chores such as kitchen duty, shoveling snow, house-keeping. They went to school. The classrooms had 8-10students in them by grade level, there the curriculum was no-nonsense, solid subjects. They played organized games of softball, frisbee, and other sports. There was ample time for active teens to burn off all the energy typical of the age-group.
At the time, 13 years ago, the people of Minot seemed untouched by the cynicism of the rest of the US. They were polite, affable, open, and friendly.
My son, now in his early 30s, talks about his time there fondly. He lives on his own, works, hangs out with his friends, and doesn’t get into trouble.
I hope DBR hasn’t changed.

The PHP IOP program is a Godsend. There's always room for improvement within any treatment center, but this program has a lot of areas in which perfectly cater to those in Recovery who have a strong desire to dramatically change their lives. The program director goes above and beyond to hop in and aid and assist no matter what is asked of them. Clients have even witnessed them having to do the duties of the house manager when extra help was needed. Not even tryna gas them up but its rare that you'll find that, I certainly haven't seen too many other programs that are able to provide the space to thrive like PSJ does.
My nurse is also an above average employee, they went to bat for me when I was struggling with personal issues. And my counselor has their own experience with battling the things that plague our community and when they interact with clients they do so from a place of Love while still maintaining their professional boundaries.
Im not saying this program is perfect by any means, but I can attest to Prairie St John's being a major component of saving my life this year.
Thank you PHP!!!!
