My experience was a little rough at first but the fifth generation would work for me I gotta quit rushing everything and mean business. Very respectful and kind people u work with and it is hard but if u learn to take it one day at as time than you will be alright stay on my meds for depression and actually be responsible once in my lifetime I'm pretty confident of making it but the sad thing is I gotta go back to yt?treatment I need other wise I can't stay abstinent from drugs.I'm looking for help

I checked myself into treatment 7 years ago. I took It seriously and because of people in these rooms I am now healing from my trauma. And would love to return as a speaker. And how I did it. I knew a patient in there, there is no consistency....was told no phone or visitors for 2 weeks...had visitor after a week, had phone the whole time calling all times of the day
Told insurance wouldn't cover the patient then when looking for a different facility but then insurance would cover for 3 weeks which makes no sense when treatment is usually at least 30 days....then evaluated the patient and insurance would cover 1 more week...wouldn't recommend this facility to anyone as they do what they want?

Anchorage saved my life literally. Most of the staff are amazing caring people who go above and beyond to help. Decent beds. 24/7 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches I highly recommend this facility .

I walked in the emergency room yesterday feeling vulnerable and at my worst staff there was so kind to me offered me a warm blanket and pillows because I couldn’t sit or stand for too long. They were absolutely amazing at one point I was laying on the bed in so much pain. I didn’t say anything because I thought I didn’t want to be a burden and this one nurse walked in and she said are you OK and I said yes and she said I’m going to ask you again are you OK? Are you in pain? Is there anything I can do And I just started crying she brought me pillows. She brought me a warm blanket. She made sure I was OK thank you and Nurse Whitney thank you so much. it just shows me that there are people in this world that actually still cares about people your well-being. I appreciate you guys so much. Healthcare workers are heroes.❤️❤️

I’ve always had a great experience here and with my counselor. If I could change anything, it would be nice if the University offered snacks and warm beverages in the counseling center. Other universities do that, and sometimes just having a cup of hot tea can really help a person relax. Some of the counseling rooms could be a bit more comfortable, but other than that, I’ve always enjoyed my sessions here.

I went in there for Blood Clots in my leg and lungs, everyone from from the emergency room to the ICU to the hospital took very good care of me. I can not say enough of the great care I got. Praise to God for all the great care givers there. I could use your prayers for this because it is not over yet, I go into surgery again this Monday morning.

Dr Dauksavage has been one of the most helpful psychiatrists I have had the pleasure of working through. While I can't speak to the current staffing and administration I can say that my stay here as a child was pivotal in becoming a functioning adult. The Fishers and Mr Wilkie were the structure and guidance that I needed when nothing else seemed to work. The staff were as caring as 20 somethings getting paid a smidge above minimum wage could be expected and then some. I learned to play magic the gathering. I learned how to advocate for myself when I felt things were unfair in a safe and constructive way. I learned how to make stromboli and how to wash dishes right. The biggest thing I learned was to believe in myself.
If you are reading this as someone possibly getting put here. Please understand you can only get what you take from a place like this. The experiences you will have here will likely become fond memories if you are willing to do the work.
If you are looking to place someone here. Try to work with the people caring for your loved one. Having the family/support team on board helps tons. Trust the process and understand that there is a good chance you might get dragged into some personal development of your own. Be ready to grow with your loved one.
I know he doesn't work here anymore but on the off chance Demar (I hope spelling isn't too far off) the old spiritual life coordinator as well as my primary for my stay, is reading this or someone can show him, you and your brother gave me a respect for men of God. Even though I don't walk the path myself I know now that there are truly Godly men among us. I fondly recall hours and hours of theological debate and those little Starbucks in the Barnes and nobles trips. Hope you are doing ok!

I came here for my DUI seminar from an out of state DUI years ago. They were super friendly and relaxed and did not make me feel judged for past mistakes. When you’re dealing with something like addiction or the embarrassments of a DUI, you only want those around you to be understanding and no judgmental. That’s the exact experience I had, and I’d much rather give my money to ADAPT, who’s ran by real people with real life experiences, than places like Heartview or C&K counseling, ran by folks who think they know what life looks like but haven’t experienced it for themselves.
