Awakenings By The Sea is exactly where I needed to be to be able to grasp the concept of true sobriety. From the minute I walked through the doors it was evident to me that this was a place that served those suffering from addiction. The staff are truly dedicated and I believe "called" to spread the message and help to others. The work was hard but sharing it with other women and recognizing their honesty, strength and willingness made it possible for me to do the work and do it with complete honesty. The AA meeting every morning at the Little Yellow House, Von and Shannon's delicious meals, the beach walks, gym time, bowling and movie time----were just what was needed to help in the beginning of healing. Jean who kept our home so clean and tidy and her wonderful sense of humor and stories.The counselors, nurses, admin., etc. are dedicated to each and every woman who comes through the doors. I am forever grateful for the gift of being able to walk through the doors and be a part of this blessed place. I look forward to seeing my Awakening Sisters in the future. I have been given the tools and healing time I was desperately in need of and I cannot thank them enough.

I strongly recommend Awakenings by the Sea for women’s only inpatient treatment! I went through the program about a year ago and miss it so much! It was a very formative part of my recovery and paved the way to successful sobriety. I wasn’t sure I would like it and there was a small conflict that arose between me and one of the staff members while I was there, but ultimately it all made me stronger. Tabitha is a no nonsense counselor, and she is great at finding potential cracks in your plan for sobriety and offering practical suggestions to surpass obstacles. The extracurricular activities are a big bonus… Like leisurely walks on the beach, weekend outings, in-house yoga and visits to the local gym. Patients also get to attend daily meetings at the Little Yellow House in Seaside, which is a world famous AA center. The community I found at Awakenings has stuck by my side and seen me through the good and the bad. I miss the routines, the dedicated staff, the other women, the powerfully moving group sessions, and the around the clock support for my sobriety. I haven’t needed to go back, but if I did, I would definitely choose Awakenings by the Sea for my recovery journey! 🌊💜💯

I went through Tree House Recovery over 4 years ago, through the tools I learned to help me with my sobriety I have remained sober. The staff worked with me where I was at and helped push me to be the best version of myself I could be. Today I have a fiancee a beautiful daughter and another child on the way. I can say without a doubt if it was not for this program I would not have the life I have today. This is a place that truly cares about the individual and not the bottom line, I met the owner himself while I was going through treatment and he took the time to have a conversation with me and treated me like an equal not someone under him (I didn't even know he was the owner until someone told me afterwards). If you have a son, father, brother or husband struggling you should really take a look at this place. It will change their lives for the better and return them to you better than ever. They get the job done

When my younger brother finally decided to seek help for his alcohol addiction, I spent countless hours researching treatment programs. From the moment I came across the website for Tree House Recovery PDX, I knew this was something special. A truly unique program that stood out from every other rehab facility I had seen. Tree House’s focus on building a brotherhood grounded in mutual respect, compassion, and empowerment immediately resonated with me. My brother had spent years feeling isolated and disconnected, and I knew this kind of community could give him the sense of belonging he’d been missing. The combination of strength training and mindfulness yoga was unlike anything I had come across before. Replacing harmful habits with physical strength and mental resilience was exactly what my brother, once an athletic, active teenager, needed to reconnect with a version of himself that existed before alcohol took hold. The program’s one-on-one, group, and writing therapy, combined with the educational classes on the mechanisms of addiction, make it one of the most well-rounded and thoughtful approaches to recovery I have ever seen. In just three months, the transformation in my brother has been remarkable, not only in his body but in his voice, his confidence, and his spirit. Tree House has given him tools to cope with disappointment and setbacks, develop healthier reasoning skills, and rediscover the strength that comes from brotherhood, from leaning on and lifting up others walking the same path. He’s learned how to have fun without substances and surround himself with people who genuinely care about his well-being. Initially, I worried Tree House might not be an option for us financially. But then I saw the words at the bottom of their website: “We strive to make sure that Tree House is an option for everyone.” It felt like they were speaking directly to me. When I reached out, Matt was incredible. He listened with genuine compassion, spoke with both my brother and me, and over the next week and a half worked tirelessly with the team, including the program director and finance department, to make sure my brother could be admitted. He arranged detox admission, transportation, and housing. Thanks to Matt, Brandon, Emma, Esther, and Rob, my brother was given a real shot at recovery. Tree House Recovery PDX hasn’t just helped my brother get sober, it has transformed his outlook on life. He’s now enrolled in school, exploring meaningful work, and, most importantly, has hope again. Our family will forever be grateful to the entire Tree House team for their compassion, creativity, and unwavering belief in the potential for change.

I highly recommend this program for anyone seeking help for alcoholism/addiction and mental health rehabilitation care. Excited about sharing how this program has helped save my life. Once I entered this program I was very sick and broken. I had tried many other attempts at recovering from the disease of addiction and alcoholism, I was very discouraged feeling very helpless. This program is definitely a major stepping stone for setting me up long term sobriety.

Oregon Trail Recovery is a team of dedicated professionals that work in the Drug and Alcohol treatment field. I am writing this review from my experience being a client here, not once but twice. The staff at this company care about and support the clients who come here for treatment with empathy and compassion. There is also support when clients need help building resume's and learning to utilize public transit, promoting clients being able to reintegrate into the community as a functioning and supporting member of it. Clients are able to grow and learn about themselves in a safe environment, one in which the team holds themselves to the highest level of integrity and ethical care. Clients are also able to learn necessary life skills, such as, doing their own laundry, making their beds and keeping their rooms clean, and learning how to cook healthy meals for themselves. I would suggest this treatment facility to anyone.

Detox was stress free. Staff was amazing! Recovery program offers a lot in post treatment solutions in finding work. Great place to become your best self!

Everyone I talked to was so kind and genuine, they really took the time to talk to me about everything and anything/ They called me weekly ever since I finished the program to check on how I am doing, great aftercare! Other places say they will do so but never do

Went out of their way to give mw my own room cuz it wasnt that busy. Staff was pretty great, lotta good people. They made sure I didn’t suffer. You will not suffer unless you have to. Unless there is no drug that can stop your pain. Some alcoholics and fent users, still have a lot of discomfort, but if you aren’t too far gone, they will make you right again. Give you a shot at recovery.

I checked into FBTS on September 22nd 2025, lost, confused, and terrified. It was the best decision I have ever made, a choice that undoubtedly saved my life. Over the last 3 months I have made connections that will last me a lifetime time, made friends i will never forget. This program, these staff members, these classes are a miracle you get to witness. Every single staff member is an angel who genuinely and truly cares about you and your recovery, the kitchen staff make excellent food that keeps you nourished and ready to take on your day, even the cleaning staff care about you and your life. You owe it to yourself to come here and get sober. It’s okay to not be okay and this place will embrace you just as you are. A mix of SUD and mental health counseling couples with outdoor activities like pickleball, basketball, badminton, and volleyball, a fully stocked gym and a couple miles of beach front trials to explore make your recovery feel like a vacation. Almost everything is taken care of for you so you have time to focus on what’s most important right now. You. I promise you if you come here you will NOT regret it, it will save your life and you will see that light at the end of the tunnel just like I do.

When I was lost and had no hope. When my world was torn upside down and had no idea where to even begin. By the grace of the universe I was referred to Free by the Sea by a friend. I called them and was met with compassion and understanding. They guided me through the intake process and for the first time in a long time I felt heard. I felt seen. I completed their 30 day residential program and stayed longer for their IOP program and they literally saved my life. The staff and activities, the classes and their content, was exactly what I needed to get my life back on track. I found peace and safety. They fostered a place for me to fight my addiction and heal my heart. This was my launchpad to kickstart my life again after the darkness. From the clinical director, the counselors, the staff, the kitchen and cleaning staff, the owners themselves, and the medical teams. The admissions staff, the group fellowship, the nature, the ocean, the entirety of Free by the Sea has been a game changer.
