The staff at Awakenings are the most caring, selfless, understanding people on the planet. Michelle is a godsend and worked so hard to get my sister the treatment she needed. She was in a dark place and is a very stubborn individual and coupled with alcohol addiction- she was a difficult patient to say the least. Michelle talked our family through all the steps to success and was there for us in every moment. I can not express the appreciation and gratitude I have for her. It is beyond words. She is the only person through our search to get her help that truly cared to see her succeed. She never gave up, even when Awakenings was not the best fit. Awakenings By The Sea is exactly where I needed to be to be able to grasp the concept of true sobriety. From the minute I walked through the doors it was evident to me that this was a place that served those suffering from addiction. The staff are truly dedicated and I believe "called" to spread the message and help to others. The work was hard but sharing it with other women and recognizing their honesty, strength and willingness made it possible for me to do the work and do it with complete honesty. The AA meeting every morning at the Little Yellow House, Von and Shannon's delicious meals, the beach walks, gym time, bowling and movie time----were just what was needed to help in the beginning of healing. Jean who kept our home so clean and tidy and her wonderful sense of humor and stories.The counselors, nurses, admin., etc. are dedicated to each and every woman who comes through the doors. I am forever grateful for the gift of being able to walk through the doors and be a part of this blessed place. I look forward to seeing my Awakening Sisters in the future. I have been given the tools and healing time I was desperately in need of and I cannot thank them enough.

I strongly recommend Awakenings by the Sea for women’s only inpatient treatment! I went through the program about a year ago and miss it so much! It was a very formative part of my recovery and paved the way to successful sobriety. I wasn’t sure I would like it and there was a small conflict that arose between me and one of the staff members while I was there, but ultimately it all made me stronger. Tabitha is a no nonsense counselor, and she is great at finding potential cracks in your plan for sobriety and offering practical suggestions to surpass obstacles. The extracurricular activities are a big bonus… Like leisurely walks on the beach, weekend outings, in-house yoga and visits to the local gym. Patients also get to attend daily meetings at the Little Yellow House in Seaside, which is a world famous AA center. The community I found at Awakenings has stuck by my side and seen me through the good and the bad. I miss the routines, the dedicated staff, the other women, the powerfully moving group sessions, and the around the clock support for my sobriety. I haven’t needed to go back, but if I did, I would definitely choose Awakenings by the Sea for my recovery journey! 🌊💜💯

Fantastic and fun group lessons this quarter. Instructor Mackenzie’s warmth and connection are so amazing. Her ability to enlighten us on complicated concepts is incredible. Her love of teaching and all the horses shines through. I’m such a more confident rider now, but still have a long way to go! The support staff and all the volunteers make up such a supportive, caring family. This stable and equine program cover so many bases and meet so many needs. My seven-year-old son has also benefited with the equine therapy program in managing his anxiety and ADHD. Thank you Forward Stride!

I had my first experience and intake with Kimberlee and Shannon and Jewel the horse. It was great. Jewel was in a pasture/barn she hasn't been in before so she was a little distracted by the new dry grass to eat but it's ok. I get it and it's not Jewels fault and it was the intake session. I still got to interact with her and Kimberlee and Shannon were fantastic. I already have a psychologist I see monthly since my TBI, but this is different with the horses and a new therapist and I don't mind adding tools to my toolbox to help me be my beat self and I grew up around horse and had one as a kid so this is great for me! I appreciate Kimberlee and Shannon's experience and I loved learning that Shannon get me as she too is a TBI survivor so that felt good and right, made Forward Stride feel like that much better of an experience. One session down and can't wait for many more!

A friend of mine was having a serious and deep reaction to grief and loss. As we all know those things can be very stressful and we made it here right at 5. The staff at Yamhill County adult Mental Health have been so helpful to us. We reached out for help and have a lovely young man who is meeting with our son to help him with job skills. I became very suicidal when I first got my diagnosis of MS and Lacey was my counselor she helped me reevaluate my life and get on a right track and find a reason to live and a good way to think about life. I hope that they know how much of a difference they make even if they can't be exactly perfect with every interaction. I know some people how bad hurtful experiences but overall they do a wonderful job and no one is perfect and no one can solve all a person's mental health challenges that's what we have a village for and that's what we have God for, right? They have added so much to our lives

Honestly I am just so thankful for this place, the people and the absolute dedication and commitment that they have to helping people with sincerity, compassion and patience. I did a full 90 day program with Lifeworks in Hillsboro and their program is a dumpster fire! They only cared about getting you to fail, and restarting you so they can get the money from OHP or your insurance. Back to Pacific. I went in there deep in addiction and chaos. I walked out earlier today with a smile on my face, hope in my heart, and a very heartfelt invitation to drop in and say hi anytime I want. When I first walked in 91 days ago, Jen greeted me with a smile, I was pretty down and sad that I had just been on a 3 week bender and I also felt like 💩. She never judged me or made me feel like she didn't care. Quite the opposite. She let me talk as much as I needed to. She let me laugh and cry and she welcomed my little Service Dog Buddy Bear each time with open arms. I just can't thank her enough for meeting with me one on one and always giving me solid, positive feedback and advice. Jennifer is such a great person, unlike other treatment centers Jen has actually been an addict that turn her life around so she makes you feel comfortable and she can relate and help in about any situation. Groups are the best great environment and it’s a safe space to open up, all the others in treatment will offer advice and it’s just overall a great experience. I highly recommend coming here for treatment because you learn a lot from Jen and everyone else going thru similar struggles. If you’ve ever been to life works or CODA, this is 10x better of an environment

Tree House Recovery PDX saved my life. I hit a new rock bottom during the holidays. I was reluctant to going to a typical, 30-day, institutional rehab center like I did over the summer because that didn't work. But then I saw that Tree House was a three month program with a focus in physical exercise, writing, and learning to work as a team. My expectations weren't met -- they were exceeded. I recently graduated on April 3rd and am a better man now than I was before I started using and drinking. I've learned how to be empathetic, hold myself and others accountable, find gratitude in my daily life, lean on my teammates during times of struggle, and how to celebrate little and big wins in my life with healthy pride. The staff is amazing too. Rob, Nevin, Doug, Bryan and Kevin are all great men who are now role models in my life. They challenged me, listened to me, and gave me advice and suggestions I have taken to help me soar. If you're struggling, you don't have to do it alone. My decision to attend treatment was one of the most important decisions of my life and I could not have made a better choice than Treehouse Recovery. This was my first time in treatment and I was terrified while researching places to go. From the very first phone call, the staff at Treehouse made me feel heard, supported, and helped to ease my mind that help was available and change was possible. I could tell from the initial conversations on the phone that was a place that truly cared for each and every client. That same empathetic and welcoming attitude was expressed and carried on at every other step of the process. Recovery is rarely a straight path. For me, it was marked by multiple attempts—each one beginning with hope and ending in frustration. I wanted sobriety, but wanting it and sustaining it were two very different things. Each setback carried shame, doubt, and the quiet fear that maybe lasting change just wasn’t meant for me. Six years ago, everything shifted—but not for me at first. It was my husband whose life was saved by Treehouse. At a time when things felt beyond repair, they stepped in and gave him not just support, but a real chance at living again. Watching his transformation planted a seed in me, even if I wasn’t ready to fully act on it yet. When I finally completed my own inpatient program, I was fragile but hopeful. For a full year, I worked on myself in ways I never had before. This place is an absolute game changer. I could've have asked for a better place to get right. It's almost like being on vacation. They take all different approaches to helping u recover from addiction. The food is amazing and The staff are great and it's almost like you become family.
