This crew is really amazing. They are always courteous despite my sometimes cruddy attitude. They really went the distance when my meds ran out. They advocated for me with my pharmacy to help me get my medication after a lapse which was my doing unfortunately. Patty is an outstanding provider who listens and is attentive to her patients—these folkes have make my life better—my hat is off to them all!!!

I was a client at Reconnections and was absolutely terrified when I entered treatment. I felt so welcomed when I walked through the door for the first time. I was never once judged or disrespected and my counselors were amazing and I am so grateful to have gone to such an amazing place to start my new journey in life clean and sober. The counselors & the rest of the staff here were amazing & incredibly helpful and understanding, then after talking with the counselors I decided to do residential treatment which was just as amazing. I’m doing outpatient treatment with them now & I’m coming up on 90 of sobriety on 7/31/25, life changing experience & im so greatful for this program.

I had an appointment yesterday at the Salem VA Clinic. I have Anxiety because of past experiences with the VA, so I wasn't looking forward to it at all. I was surprised at there being only a handful of patients in the waiting room. I thought that was a little odd. I've been part of the VA healthcare system for a while and Never have I seen a waiting room Empty... As soon as I gave my last name and digits I was ushered right into an Examination room. The nurse that took my vitals was Awesome and so was Dr. Salmon...❗ Dr. Salmon is Very Personable and Informative. I Hope he stays with the VA. Other Veterans with Anxiety about their healthcare will benefit from Dr. Salmon's Care and Attention to Detail. I'm not looking forward to seeing him any time soon, but if I do have to go to the VA with an emergency situation, he's The Guy I want to see. I'm Sicilian,so we have Guys for this and that in the neighborhood. This is The Guy you want to see at the Salem VA Clinic.

In August 2025 I will have been at Salem ctc for 8 years and in my experience if you just follow the requirements and stay true to yourself you will do just fine. I'm always hearing negative things as I stand in line waiting to dose and how people are always getting group holds even tho they say they attend the required amount but me personally as long as I'm on top of my groups and keep to myself as well as respect the staff, I never have any issues. It's all about what you make it to be. If your unhappy about the requirements and feel it's unfair then maybe this specific facility isn't your deal...

This place is truly amazing!! My best friend and I decided to go here and get clean together and it really has been a God send because about 2 weeks after we started treatment I found out I had stage 4 metastatic breast cancer and the staff have been pretty nice, but I found out that one of my favorite people that work here got let go and I'm very sad to hear this, he really made my week great getting to visit with him for the few minutes I was there😪 I'm worried about how things will be with him gone and I'm going to pray that they bring him back when they see how many people enjoyed his company and made us feel safe. 7/23/21The staff are amazing. 5 stars to them. The food is terrible. The landscaping looks like it has been unattended for 20 years. This place has potiential at 1500$ a day, where is the $ going. They need to offer healthy meals, with vegetables, and whole grains. Instead, sodium is the main ingredient. The building is falling apart and old. Mold, water leaks, dangerous matierials used when the place was built 50 years ago need to be replaced.

Was a great place to get help and learn about REBT therapy back in early 90's. I was in there with Larry Hagman shortly after he lost his role on Dallas. Sally was a great phycologist. She had studied under Albert Ellis. It was an old beautiful mansion that had strict rules and regiments including strict diets (mine was hypoglycemic). The food was great! Not sure what happened as I read sum of these reviews..

They really care about people and welcome all walks of life, without judgment or harsh criticism. Desirea is a wonderful counselor with a past that enables her to be more empathetic and knowledgeable when it comes to addictions and overcoming them. If someone is struggling with other aspects of their life, Shawnell does an excellent job in peer support. She can help with all sorts of things from housing to finding doctors and scheduling rides. Everyone else is extremely friendly and I recommend this place to anyone who is struggling with addictions.

Attending this drug and alcohol recovery class has been one of the most transformative experiences of my life. From the very first session, I felt welcomed, respected, and supported. The instructors are not only highly knowledgeable but also deeply compassionate. Many of them have walked this path themselves, and their honesty and openness made the entire experience feel safe and judgment-free.
The curriculum is extremely well-structured, blending science-based education with practical tools for real-life situations. We covered everything from the biology of addiction to strategies for managing cravings, setting boundaries, and building healthy habits. What really stood out was the emphasis on self-reflection, accountability, and growth. Each class challenged me to think differently and gave me a deeper understanding of both addiction and recovery.
Group discussions were powerful and healing. Hearing other people’s stories—and being able to share my own—created a sense of community that I hadn’t felt in years. We lifted each other up, held each other accountable, and celebrated even the smallest victories together.
What sets this program apart is its focus on long-term success. They didn’t just teach us how to get clean—they showed us how to rebuild our lives. From relapse prevention planning to improving mental health and developing a support system, every detail was thought through and impactful.

Mental health is beyond important; they accept Medicaid. I'd be in a much worse space if a friend hadn't steered me to New Perspectives. I dont know how I would have made it through some bad experiences without my counselor.

I've been going to New Perspectives for almost a month now. I'm seeing Vickie. I enjoy talking with her because she really understands trauma. She helps me see myself in a different light. I hope to learn some skills to get my anxiety under control and feel better about myself in general. Therapy is scary but I believe it's worth it. I would definitely recommend NP to someone if I knew they needed help.

My self and daughter have seen the same theripest for a number of years.And before this one I had a terrific concealer Belinda that no longer works there (saddness ) : though Linda is terrific as well .Thank you all of you if you need a theripest and don't feel comfortable with one just request another it's not a one fits all thing but it is a good idea if your struggling or just need a perspective on your life.
