About Phoenix Crisis Center

The Phoenix Crisis Center is part of the Georgia Dept. of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities. It is located in Warner Robins, Georgia. This crisis stabilization unit is for adults who are experiencing severe, urgent emotional or mental distress. This center is open every day of the year, 24-hours a day.

Crisis Stabilization in Georgia

This behavioral health crisis unit provides short-term stabilization for patients. The average length of stay here is six days. During this time, clients are safe and secure in a supervised setting.

Each person receives a thorough assessment from caring behavioral health clinicians. This assessment will be used to treat your symptoms during your stay and will also help your treatment team to make recommendations and referrals for aftercare.

Community members are welcome to walk in anytime for a psychiatric crisis assessment, intervention and counseling. If you’re experiencing sudden, significant changes in thoughts and behaviors, Phoenix Crisis Center can help.

Here, they also provide screening and referrals for outpatient services that meet your needs. People not in crisis can access community resources and other information regarding behavioral health care.

Peer Support Services in Warner Robins

Another great feature offered out of the Phoenix Crisis Center is their peer support services. Through this program, clients get access to trained and certified peer specialists. These supporters use their personal experiences to give help to individuals who are getting mental health or substance use treatment.

Folks can access peer support through the crisis unit, crisis centers and mobile crisis teams as well as from call center staff. I like that you can get peer support over the phone 24 hours a day.

Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.
