I've been to almost every treatment center in the state of Georgia and a few in Alabama as well. I was more stubborn than most. However, when things got bad enough and I was willing to change, The Golden Rule taught me how to act like an adult and be responsible. They aren't going to put up with old behavior and I needed a place where I couldn't manipulate my way through. This place is hard work, but it works if you put in effort and give it a chance! Faith without works is dead.

I had always heard bad things about Pinewoods. Staying there helped save my life. In the WellStar hospitals, people have to wait three days to be sent out -- Pinewoods makes that easier, you don't have to go anywhere but Pinewoods. They are open 24/7 days a week. You also can bypass being treated like a barnyard animal, wearing scrubs and using a paper blanket to cover up with. If the nerves are bad with a Patient, the last thing they want to be is in an isolation cell, hear others screaming in the cell next door, and feel judged by the sitters and doctors. As long as you don't go out there and act foolish, (due to fear or anger) You are treated with kindness and respect. Thanks to Pinewoods Staff.

My recovery started here. Wonderful place. I came in with nothing but a hat and a dead cellphone, wearing only hospital paper clothes. The techs made sure I had clothes and shoes when they took me home and they helped me with a 30 day supply of medicine. I learned a lot in group therapy and they made it fun. I think a lot of these reviews are either for the wrong facility or from people who were going through extremely rough times when they left their reviews. I didn’t have a great experience when I first tried to become a patient at this clinic, I knew I needed to establish mental health care somewhere and had just moved to the area. To be perfectly clear, I was not my best self without my meds and took it out on the front desk staff, even though it wasn’t their fault.
You CANNOT schedule an appointment to establish care over the phone. You HAVE to get there BEFORE they open on the days that they accept walk-ins. You can call to find out what days they do that or go down and talk to them in person for more information.
Treat the staff with respect and you’ll get the same in return. Basic human decency. They operate based on policies, not out of spite or as a way to make your life harder. They have genuinely caring staff and exhibit professionalism during appointments.

I had an excellent experience at Atlanta Detox Center and truly cannot say enough about the quality of care I received. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and supported. The staff treated everyone with genuine care and respect, which made a difficult process so much easier to go through.
The classes and group sessions were extremely beneficial in getting newly sober as well.
I want to give a special shout-out to my case manager, Christian. He went above and beyond for me—helping with my FMLA paperwork, answering all of my questions, and always showing patience and understanding throughout the process. Having someone so attentive really made a difference.
I also want to recognize the behavioral health techs. They were consistently kind, caring, and helpful towards all clients, and it showed that they truly care about the people they work with.
Overall, Atlanta Detox Center made a challenging step in my life feel achievable and supported.

This establishment has helped mu loved one who was an alcoholic. Original Mike has helped me as well with his family group classes. He’s helped me understand the addiction and things I can do to contribute to his recovery. Without these groups he would not be able to help all the families he’s helped. This place has helped me so much!! It’s a really great place to go to if you need Help. Ms.Poole is so awesome she has helped me more than I can even count. In 2017 when I started coming Ms.Poole was my counselor and she was amazing! She always made sure I was okay and she listened to me when I I was going through hard times and she really cared. She always tried to help me. She even bought me me and my kids food for me to take to my house when I was going through a hard time. Now she is the Director and she is amazing at that. She makes sure that everything is by the book and she makes sure all of her patients are treated how they are supposed to be!!! I love Ms Poole! She is amazing And Ms Twanna is my counselor now and she is amazing also she really cares about her patients. Whatever anybody is going through she will listen to you and try to help you in anyway that she can. I love her too!!! If you are looking for help, this is the place to go. I have never met anyone as dedicated as Ms. Poole. I came there several years ago in a bad way and they did not have to take a chance on me but they did. The empathy, trust, and respect I was treated with bolstered my desire to succede at this program and I have. It has changed my life and I am forever greatful to Ms. Poole, Sonya, and the rest of the wonderful staff there. I’ve Been at CMTC and always have a good experience. My counselor T always treats everyone I have seen with respect and always smiles always pleasant, Ms. Sonja always pleasant and helpful with all of your needs and always nice, Ms.Earnestine is always on top of the insurance needs of everyone and always so nice and pleasant, Ms. Poole is the best site mngr I’ve ever dealt with always willing to help you with anything she can do for you, everyone goes above and beyond their duties and what I have seen the site is clean and in order. For the size of the facility it is not that big but it is not messy or dirty and is organized from what I have seen.

I had an amazing experience there! Shaq was amazing, Mac was amazing, and and Cody was amazing!! Also, the therapists that I had there was amazing!!! I’ve always had issues transferring to a VA when I move. The staff there not only got me a walk in appointment to mental health, but also got me a intake appointment in like 5 minutes, to make Newnan my main office. Very nice staff and very good with patients

Just left today after 30 day program..the staff were incredible and I learned alot about addiction and the long road to my recovery. Great food, medical staff and management....O.G and all. This is a very clean and great facility the nurses are great the tecks are great however the nurse practitioners who are wanna be doctors are horrible especially Jessica she told me that I had an STD which turns out I did not have... The test that she did was negative but she told me it was positive.... and when I was trying to ask her questions about that or ask her questions about my care she could not get off her phone to stop texting long enough to talk to me and I knew she was texting because I could see emojis on her phone she's very racist she doesn't like white people it was the worst experience I've ever had with a nurse practitioner or a doctor but she's not a doctor other than that this facility is amazing

My lady friend went her & they have treated her incredibly well.
This place isn't really well know but it deserves to be.
The staff was immaculate to her.
The only thing was the not smoking rule which is justified because it is a recover center.
Besides that I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I work at a different behavioral health facility, and myself, and co workers came to visit their supported employment! The staff was friendly, informative, and very open minded. They welcomed us with open arms! I love their space it’s so big, and beautiful ❤️
