My relative had great success here! The staff is super nice and very helpful. Comfort, Marissa, Dr. Jill Smith and others were really friendly and compassionate and they were able to adjust my relatives medications and the new meds are working much better. So give Riverwoods a chance. My relative is very nice and pleasant and isn't a mean person to the staff, so perhaps that helps too. Compared to other Behavioral Health places in Metro Atlanta, my relative said they were the best! Ended up at Riverwoods because closer hospitals were full and this was the closest place that had an open bed. The phone receiptionists are very nice too. They are busy with emergencies, so be patient and know they are doing their best...best of luck on your visit. Hope they can help you too!

I spent 3 months at Talbott in-patient beginning in October 2020, and then an additional 3 months in their sober living program (which has since been discontinued). Before I came to Talbott, I was broken, unable to function or live any kind of life period. I couldn’t see any other way until I found Talbott.
The most important thing I found at Talbott was a community of individuals who were struggling with the same things I was - my time at Talbott showed me the importance of community and connection. This connection and sense of community was fostered by people like my counselors Allie and Sam, and more so by our community coordinators Ben and Christian.
Ben especially left an indelible mark on my life and my perspective on addiction and finding recovery. His ability to connect with patients and former patients is remarkable and too seldom found in the treatment world. I will never forget the first time I heard Ben speak - he has a wholly unique ability to give people hope, especially when they are at their lowest.
I have carried the lessons Ben and everyone at Talbott taught me since then, and I now have over 4 1/2 years clean and sober. Talbott changed my life and for that I will be forever grateful.

I was in hillside from August to November of 2023, and truthfully I can t believe it s been that long.When I went in to hillside, I had no will to live, was depressed and struggled socially and with processing and understanding emotions. When I went in, I was scared, because of past experiences in residential and acute placements. But once i started the program, I learned quickly hillside was different. Every staff member truly tried to help and connect with me in their own different ways. And I thank each and every one of them for being part of my journey, even when it was difficult.Today, not only me, and the others around me see the progress I continue to make. Because it isn t over night. I still practice my skills, and I m still learning and growing and improving every day. There are still hard days, but I m able now to get through them thanks to the things I ve learned at Hillside.

Alfred Williams and his counseling sessions saved my life. I wish that I could repay Newport for what they have done for my life, but that would be impossible, as it s priceless. Newport health has saved my life.The doctor's,consulers, and staff are very perfehanal and understanding. I was unsure if my family member was a qualified rehabilitation facility ,I had read some bad reviews.It took effort to get her in.It was worth every bit of effort! She went through the detoxing,I couldn't have contact with her.When we talked for the first time I realized my prayers had been answered.She was on the road to recovery.She was so grateful she got in and was feeling better and thinking clearly. My sister's counselor Mr Dre personally called and invited and encouraged me to attend the monthly Family Day and I did. I was blown away by the professional,compassionate care the patients receive.As a family member I received counseling and tools and the information on how to take this journey of recovery with my loved one.Ascensa reassured my loved one and myself there are professional people that really care about you living a life in recovery, redemption for ever!
