I had an amazing experience there! Shaq was amazing, Mac was amazing, and and Cody was amazing!! Also, the therapists that I had there was amazing!!! I still went thru issues after I left there because of my own choices, but I have over a year clean now!!! I even work in treatment now myself!! I came in the program addicted to heroin and meth… been to prison 7 times and overdosed 7 times! However, today I’m not obsessing with any mind altering substance… not only do they offer INTENSIVE OUT PATIENT “IOP” with Top of the line counseling but also have clean housing available as well! My experience here with Arise changed my thinking and the direction my life was headed. I can tell you how much their straight-from-the-hip counseling made recovery understandable and accommodations exceeded expectations. Great place in the 7 weeks there I never got up and regretted going to the meeting. The staff was amazing and treated everyone with great respect I highly recommend this place for recovery for professional patients for sure they target your profession directly getting you the help personally and mentally also completing the needed paperwork.

I want people to understand something important about the program. When you complete it and leave, the medications they use as “crutches” (like SSRIs) are not designed to be permanent solutions — but they don’t really prepare you for what happens when you try to come off them.
In my case, when I finished the program, I was left with nothing but “good luck.” No tapering support, no real plan, no follow-up guidance. The withdrawal from SSRI medication was a horrific experience, and I had to seek out a separate doctor on my own afterward just to cope.
People should know going in: the program does provide structure and tools while you’re there, but the aftercare is lacking, especially around medication dependence. Be ready to advocate for yourself and find outside medical support when you leave.

John my therapist helped me so much! Getting me to finally accept my mother’s death was hard, but I finally did get through it because of him! Amazing therapist! I want to add the entire team of BHT’s. They did so much for me! Andrew’s, Thomas, Kendra, Marvala, Sharla, Andre, Joe, Lorenzo, and Erica! My intake was done by Tamara who was also so amazing! Best food I’ve eaten in a while! Shout out to Miss Monica and I hate that I don’t remember the other chef but his food was also so amazing. King Dre! You are the man! All the therapists were also so amazing! Christina’s energy was incredible but scary! Haha. Just kidding. I had the best experience at ADC! If anyone at all is having substance abuse problem? Ft. Mac offers a lot of services to us veterans and dependents. I wished they had natural medicine doctors instead of the ones the only thing they're taught to do is issue pills for everything.

This AMAZING place is honestly the best of all, hands down.
From the doctor, director Jennifer, miss Holly amazing nurses especially Yolanda, and many more especially when you are recovering in recovery the amazing counselor's , such as sweet, caring, and supportive while REALLY LISTENING AND KEEPING IT REAL and making you feel comfortable and in a safe place is just a big perk in recovery. I arrived at Anchor based on a recommendation from a family friend, and I’m genuinely grateful for the care and attention I received. From what I observed, the facility is staffed with a readily available medical team, a generous culinary crew, and knowledgeable administrators.
Even though I walked in at a very low point, I was greeted with intention and genuine care. Throughout my four-day stay, I was fed well, treated with respect, and given tools that helped me feel more prepared once I left. And while not every moment was easy — it is a mental hospital, after all — the staff consistently responded quickly and worked to make things right whenever challenges came up.
My doctor, Dr. Lunceford, was attentive and truly engaged, asking thoughtful questions based on our conversations rather than just going down a checklist. Everyday we would have multiple therapy classes both outside and inside. The social workers also did a wonderful job of keeping patients informed of their rights and the facility’s processes. They reminded us that Anchor’s role was to “plant, water, and prune” so we could be better prepared for the days ahead.
Overall, my experience was positive, and I’m thankful for the support I received during a difficult time. Thank you!

This office was a referral for me and they couldn’t have picked a better office. My first time attending there,and they was very professional and polite from the front desk to the doctor. Dr. Oglesby and his assistant was very easy to talk to and they were very attentive and knowledgeable to my health and needs. He is very through and makes sure I was given every options to what treatment plan was best suited for my care. I highly recommend this office.

This was my 3rd short term facility but was also my first time at this specific one. First impressions were alright. I was on the adolescent unit. From 10-17 year olds. The kids were amazingly funny and slightly comforting. I made lots of friends and still know a little of them outside the facility. The food was alright. Breakfast really sucked. Dinner and lunch were amazing though!. Now the doctors. They were not that good. They could have been more understanding of the patient’s emotions and feelings. Usually i would get called into a room in the until for 1 on 1 therapy with a psychiatrist/mental health professional.
With my belongings i had a bag of skincare, scrunchies, pants and a shirt. It somehow got lost. Everything was lost and when i discharged the lady up front would say she looked after 2 minutes in which i obviously would not believe her. even trying to get a hold of the front desk was a hassle. It would take hours for them to answer. But in the end i never got my stuff back. Overall this facility slightly helped. More of like a crisis center instead of a helping hand in my opinion. (Also forgot to mention that the kids were extremely disrespectful towards staff, not staff’s fault though)
5/10 could have been better but thank you riverwoods :)

I've been to Riverwoods inpatient three times total since 2021. This was my first time being in the PHP and IOP outpatient program. All of the staff, inpatient and outpatient, we're absolutely amazing, ethical, and encouraging. Ms. April was my counselor and she did more for me in just the month and a half I was there than two decades of therapy elsewhere. I feel completely healed mind, body, and soul. I deeply appreciate Riverwoods staff and programs available to patients. Outpatient lodge program staff were fun, encouraging, and made sure I put in the work myself as well. I deeply appreciate everyone at Riverwoods for the opportunity, encouragement, and therapeutic approaches.
