I had the unwilling honor to spend Memorial weekend at Crescent Pines and I can't say I COMPLETELY wanted to be there; but I have to say, it actually really isn't a bad place! The staff is really nice and helpful. It was my first time in a place like this and it was absolutely not like anything seen on TV. We had three meals throughout the day and even a snack in the evening. If you didn't need medication they didn't force it down your throat. People don't walk around like zombies and really express themselves when they feel like it. If you're a smoker, they give you smoke breaks. You can't go out whenever you want but at least they allow you to have them. If you do what you're suppose to do, meaning; not showing out and actually following the rules, your time there will go by smoothly. The only downside is not being able to go to your room throughout the day. Like if you're tired, you would have to stay out in the community room and find a place to nap. You don't necessarily have to make friends but its helpful finding people you could pass the time with.

Great place in the 7 weeks there I never got up and regretted going to the meeting. The staff was amazing and treated everyone with great respect I highly recommend this place for recovery for professional patients for sure they target your profession directly getting you the help personally and mentally also completing the needed paperwork.

I want people to understand something important about the program. When you complete it and leave, the medications they use as “crutches” (like SSRIs) are not designed to be permanent solutions — but they don’t really prepare you for what happens when you try to come off them.
In my case, when I finished the program, I was left with nothing but “good luck.” No tapering support, no real plan, no follow-up guidance. The withdrawal from SSRI medication was a horrific experience, and I had to seek out a separate doctor on my own afterward just to cope.
People should know going in: the program does provide structure and tools while you’re there, but the aftercare is lacking, especially around medication dependence. Be ready to advocate for yourself and find outside medical support when you leave.

This place is amazing! Being on Methadone maintenance has LITERALLY saved my life! I've been on MM since 02/19/2015. My biggest complaint would be the staff turn over. Thru out my years I've had at least a handful of counselors. It is hard at times to completely open up when there's been soo many. My counselor now, Frances, is amazing! Definitely one of my top favorites. There's been a ton of nurses. Some good, some NOT. Reading the other reviews I see alot of people blaming the CLINIC for their shortcomings if YOU do the right thing, if YOU dp the next right thing then u won't have these problems!! What YOU put in to ur treatment is exactly what u get out of YOUR treatment! I can't say enough GOOD things about this place. I'm sure I'll be a "Methadone lifer" and I'm ok with that. It sure beats the alternative!aptly I see alot of people complain about the price. My insurance finally pays for my meds but for years, I paid. $15/day is sure cheaper then buying off the street. A million times CHEAPER.

We had a truly fantastic experience at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. From the security guards and front desk team to the doctors and nurses, every interaction was marked by kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. BAIT & SWITCH on the 6 week professional program absolutely. Caveat Emptor! They're STILL telling professionals that this is a 6 week program this very day and I'm 9 weeks in and trapped. The professionals who have come in after me have experienced the same and I spend a considerable amount of my time consoling them even though it's too late. I'm hoping this review will get to people before they get here so they can save themselves the unexpected shock and dismay that pulls the rug out from under our entire lives. Explaining to employers, our children and the Board that we won't be back for weeks longer than we were told is very distressing and expensive. I guess they think the attractiveness of the 6 weeks gets you here then they hold your license hostage. Any of the potential greatness of the program set up by Dr. Talbott is diminished by this very real deception. It's not worth it. l'd rather know the truth because their attempted explanations and apologies only make it worse.

I spent 3 months at Talbott in-patient beginning in October 2020, and then an additional 3 months in their sober living program (which has since been discontinued). Before I came to Talbott, I was broken, unable to function or live any kind of life period. I couldn’t see any other way until I found Talbott.
The most important thing I found at Talbott was a community of individuals who were struggling with the same things I was - my time at Talbott showed me the importance of community and connection. This connection and sense of community was fostered by people like my counselors Allie and Sam, and more so by our community coordinators Ben and Christian.
Ben especially left an indelible mark on my life and my perspective on addiction and finding recovery. His ability to connect with patients and former patients is remarkable and too seldom found in the treatment world. I will never forget the first time I heard Ben speak - he has a wholly unique ability to give people hope, especially when they are at their lowest.
I have carried the lessons Ben and everyone at Talbott taught me since then, and I now have over 4 1/2 years clean and sober. Talbott changed my life and for that I will be forever grateful.

Berk Sauls is not your average attorney he truly knows his stuff.
I sent an email to many, many attorneys, and his response stood out above the rest. While others overlooked important details, Berk carefully broke down the terms of service that most would’ve skipped over.
Instead of just billing me and wasting hours, he took the time to give real insight. If I ever need an attorney again, I’ll be looking for him in the daytime with a flashlight.

I'm May of 2020 after completing a 30 day treatment for my disease of addiction I was suggested to go to Clarkston 12 steps AA meetings to continue on my recovery process and upon the continual attendance and participation in my recovery in the room . I received spiritual tools to use to aid me along the way and gained more insight as to what was the cause of my inability to stop wrecking my life and the lives of others.
And found the purpose of my existence was to be of service to my fellow man and in following thru with that the obsession of self sabotage was lifted and the idea of returning to a life of misery of drinking was smashed and I'm grateful for the power that is in the meeting that brought me into the reliance on a power greater than myself

I recently just got out of Laurel heights hospital… not going to lie the first time I came I was a lil scared even cried a few times … some of the staff was so sweet and caring !!! I was assaulted here, physically, sexually, and emotionally. I lost 15 pounds in 5 days and they didn't even care. They refused my medication. I had 15 panic attacks in the 5 days I was here. They traumatized me so badly that I don't think I will ever recover. PLEASE DON'T SEND ANYONE HERE!!

I’ve been going to this clinic for over a year now.
I think a lot of these reviews are either for the wrong facility or from people who were going through extremely rough times when they left their reviews. I didn’t have a great experience when I first tried to become a patient at this clinic, I knew I needed to establish mental health care somewhere and had just moved to the area. To be perfectly clear, I was not my best self without my meds and took it out on the front desk staff, even though it wasn’t their fault.
You CANNOT schedule an appointment to establish care over the phone. You HAVE to get there BEFORE they open on the days that they accept walk-ins. You can call to find out what days they do that or go down and talk to them in person for more information.
Treat the staff with respect and you’ll get the same in return. Basic human decency. They operate based on policies, not out of spite or as a way to make your life harder. They have genuinely caring staff and exhibit professionalism during appointments.
